Charlamagne tha God slams ‘liberal media' for ignoring Bill Clinton's ties to Epstein: ‘Nobody's talking about that'
'You know, it's interesting, too, 'cause it's just funny how the news works 'cause Bill Clinton, you know, wrote a letter to Jeffrey Epstein as well for his birthday, but nobody's talking about that. And Jeffrey Epstein had a picture of Bill Clinton in a dress in high heels in his New York mansion, but nobody's talking about that,' Charlamagne said.
He continued, 'My thing is this. I don't care who's on the list. Everybody got to go. Burn it all down. Like, that's just simple as that. Mutually assured destruction. Whoever's on that list need to go. Nobody needs to be protecting pedophiles.'
Charlamagne's comments, which were first flagged by Mediaite, came after President Donald Trump said that those asking about the late financier Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking case should direct their attention to Clinton and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
Trump's remarks come a day after US Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell in Florida amid heightened scrutiny about the case after the Trump administration announced it would not unseal investigation materials concerning Epstein.
'You ought to be speaking about Larry Summers. You ought to be speaking about some of his friends that are hedge fund guys,' Trump told reporters Friday while departing for Scotland.

'They're all over the place. You ought to be speaking about Bill Clinton.'
Trump then accused Clinton of visiting Epstein's private island. Trump said he'd never visited the island before.
Clinton has also denied that he has ever visited the island. In his new memoir 'Citizen,' released in 2024, Clinton said he'd never gone to the island and that he wished he'd never even met Epstein in the first place.

Spokespeople for Summers and Clinton did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
Summers previously served as treasury secretary for Clinton, as well as the director of the National Economic Council for former President Barack Obama.
Neither Summers nor Clinton have been accused of engaging in any illegal conduct in connection with his ties to Epstein.

Charlamagne said party affiliation is irrelevant to the issues associated with Epstein. The co-host of 'The Breakfast Club,' Morgan Wood pushed back on Charlamagne.
'And you know, to that point though, you know, Clinton is not the president right now. You know, if he was, you think that. Anyway, I think he would still be under scrutiny if he was the president right now,' Wood said.
'I don't care what party they are. No. Period. No, he wouldn't because liberal media wouldn't push the issue. Oh, okay. Well, this comes as, speaking of liberal media,' Charlamagne responded.

Charlamagne responds to Trump's comments about his 'low-IQ'
Charlamagne tha God is responding after President Donald Trump called him a 'racist sleazebag' and 'low-IQ individual.' The morning radio host addressed the president's critique of him in a segment called "Donkey of the Day." The president made the remarks a day after the 'The Breakfast Club' host appeared on 'My View with Lara Trump'. Lara Trump is the Republican National Committee co-chair and is married to the president's son, Eric Trump. Charlamagne tha God, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, has become a key feature in pop culture and co-hosts the popular radio show. During the appearance on Saturday, Aug. 2, Lara Trump asked Charlamagne how he would rate Trump's second term so far. He responded: 'I wouldn't give it a good rating, simply because the least of us are still being impacted by the worst.' While admitting he's set to benefit from tax provisions in the president's tax-and-spending law, he said, 'There's going to be so many people that's hurt by that bill.' He added, 'Anything that takes away Medicaid from people and will put people in a worse financial situation than they were previously in, I'm not for.' The president later lashed out at Charlamagne in a Truth Social post on Sunday, Aug. 3. 'He's a low-IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth and knows nothing about me or what I have done,' wrote the president. 'I've never taken an IQ test': Charlamagne tha God responds to Trump Charlamagne spoke about the president's remarks on "The Breakfast Club" in his segment entitled "Donkey of the Day," shrugging off Trump's ire without much fuss. On Monday, Aug. 4, Charlamagne said, 'I don't care. He called me a sleazebag. I looked up the definition of sleazebag, says it's 'a disgusting or despicable person.' Depending on who you ask, that may apply to me.' He also said that the Trump administration is using an "authoritative strategy" against anyone who speaks out against it. He also went on to say, "With his reaction to what I said on Lara Trump shows how authoritarians will attempt to bully people into pushing false narratives. " He continued to make fun of the president's remarks, adding: 'He said I'm 'a low-IQ individual.' I don't know, I've never taken an IQ test.' As he closed out the segment, Charlamagne offered some advice to the commander-in-chief. Tips for Trump "I don't care who's in the White House," he said. "I want America to succeed. Believe it or not, I'm rooting for you, but I need you focused and right now, you're not focused. Ok? We need you focused on two things: the economy and Epstein. I need you to keep the promises of a great economy and the promises of transparency with the Epstein files." It is not out of the ordinary for him to criticize political figures, he told Lara Trump. When President Joe Biden was in office, he said he subjected the former president to "the same hell" when he disagreed with his actions. Michelle Del Rey is a trending news reporter at USA TODAY. Trump vows to ‘substantially' hike India tariff with 25% rate set to take effect Thursday
WASHINGTON — President Trump vowed Monday to 'substantially' jack up the US tariff on imports from India due to New Delhi's continued purchase of Russian oil as Moscow's invasion of Ukraine grinds on. 'India is not only buying massive amounts of Russian Oil, they are then, for much of the Oil purchased, selling it on the Open Market for big profits,' Trump warned on Truth Social. 'They don't care how many people in Ukraine are being killed by the Russian War Machine. Because of this, I will be substantially raising the Tariff paid by India to the USA.' Charlamagne Tha God Responds To Trump, Calls Out His 'Authoritarian Strategy,' But Adds, 'I'm Rooting For You, But I Need You Focused'
Charlamagne tha God responded on Monday to Donald Trump's attack on him, calling out the administration's 'authoritarian strategy' while reiterating that the president has failed to focus on what he promised during the campaign. The Breakfast Club co-host appeared on Lara Trump's Fox News show on Saturday, telling the president's daughter-in-law that he thinks traditional conservatives would 'take the Republican party back,' while pointing to Trump's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. The MAGA base isn't letting this issue go, and for the first time, they know they can probably take their party back and not piss off the MAGA base,' Charlamagne said on the show. That set the president off. In a mengthy Truth Social post, Trump responded by calling Charlamagne 'a low IQ individual' and a 'racist sleazebag.' On his show on Monday, Charlamagne went through each of the points that Trump made in his Truth Social post. He noted that 'sleazebag' meant 'a disgusting or despicable person.' 'Depending on who you ask, that may apply to me,' Charlamagne quipped. 'Okay, I personally prefer friendly neighborhood a-hole.' 'He said, 'I'm a low IQ individual.' I don't know. I've never taken an IQ test. He said I have no idea what words are coming out of my mouth. Absolutely true. Okay, I've been surprising myself my whole life, like, damn, 'I actually said that.'' Charlamagne then went to other claims in Trump's Truth Social post, challenging the president's contention that he ended five wars, as well as his claim that the U.S. strikes on Iran had wiped out its nuclear capabilities. As for Trump's claim that he had closed the border, Charlamagne said, 'You have definitely made the border harder to cross, but saying it's closed is false and ignores everyone coming over seeking legal asylum. By the way, I want border security. I just want you to keep your promise of deporting illegals and criminals. But since Homeland Security started to work to deport more people, immigrants with legal status or no criminal history are being detained and deported too. That's not right.' Charlamagne then went on to dispute Trump's claim that he has created the 'greatest economy, where prices and inflation have come way down.' He pointed to Trump's response to a weak jobs report on Friday, in which the president fired the head of the agency responsible for gathering the economic figures. 'We are in a strange time right now, a time we have never seen because authoritarian strategy is being used against anyone who speaks out against this administration,' Charlamagne said. 'We saw what happened Friday, President Trump orders the firing of labor statistic chief, after data shows unemployment rates are higher. I don't know if you know President Trump, but by firing this woman, you added to the unemployment rate. But that, along with his reaction to what I said on Lara Trump, shows how authoritarians will attempt to bully people into pushing false narratives.' He also noted that on Lara Trump's show, he didn't mention race once, but Trump still called him a 'racist.' Trump, Charlamagne noted on Monday, 'issued an executive order directing oversight of institutions like the Smithsonian, to remove suppress narratives about systemic racism in black history. They want to reframe cultural memory to eliminate discussions of historical racial injustice that, along with the termination of diversity and civil rights programs, are considered very racist by a lot of civil rights advocates. I didn't even bring that up [on Lara Trump's show], okay? I was just talking to your base, letting your base know that you haven't kept the promises you made in regards to the economy. In fact, you've made things worse.' He noted Trump's enlistment of Elon Musk to make widespread cuts across the federal government, leading to the firing of federal workers. 'President Trump, now you're doing exactly what the Biden administration did, trying to convince America the economy is all good when it's not — maybe for people in a certain tax bracket, but for majority of your constituents who aren't in the 1% it's not all good,' he said. 'So you can hire a new labor statistics chief to lie about the numbers. It won't stop the reality of people being unemployed. You can tell falsehoods about inflation being down. It won't stop the reality of the price of consumer goods being high because of tariffs you implemented.' Charlamagne finished by saying, 'I don't care who's in the White House. I want America to succeed. Believe it or not, I'm rooting for you, but I need you focused. And right now you're not focused.' 'I need you to keep the promises of a great economy and the promises of transparency with the Epstein files. And I don't want us as a people to be distracted.'
