Sam Thompson was left mortified as Pete Wicks reads old thirsty tweet from Love Island star.
The former Made in Chelsea star, 32, was joined by his best friend to record an episode of their Staying Relevant podcast, when Pete dug up an old tweet directed towards Sam.
At first, reading out the tweet, Pete said: "Where do I apply to sit on Sam Thompson's face? Asking for a mate." Sam looked shocked but then proclaimed that he knew who had sent the flirty message, and disclosed that she is currently a contestant of this year's edition of the ITV2 reality show.
Bursting into laughter, Sam said: "No way!" before claiming that the person behind the tweet was in fact Helena Ford, who is just days away from the Love Island final and has been coupled up with footballer Harry Cooksley on and off since her time on the series began.
Pete explained: "She tweeted this in 2017," and Sam described her as one of the 'main characters' on the programme.
Pete pointed out to the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! winner that the two will cross paths when he makes an appearance on Aftersun, and put pressure on his pal to bring up the tweet. He added: "I don't mind coming on to ask her!", to which Sam simply laughed.
Teasing what he would ask Helena if he met her, Pete said: "So, Helena, what do you think of Sam's face? Do you want to sit on it?" Sam admitted that no one had ever done such a thing to him before and Pete immediately noted that he wanted to 'dig into' the situation further. "
It comes after a dramatic night on Love Island for air hostess Helena, 29, and couldn't believe what they were seeing, as Harry called out Helena amid his flirty comments with Shakira during Thursday's instalment.
During the Grafties, Harry and the rest of the villa were shown a clip of Helena from weeks ago when she told a co-star that she wasn't all in for Harry after their on/off couplings. Harry seemed shocked by this, claiming at the time Helena had told him she was all for him.
So to see Helena claim otherwise left him stunned, while this was weeks ago before they gave things another go, and before they went "exclusive".
Just hours earlier, Helena was left in tears when she found out Harry was having chats with 'ex' Shakira after their constant triangles across the series. While Harry had told Helena that Shakira admitted she still liked him and was trying to get over the situation, he failed to mention his flirting and how he'd told Shakira they should go on a date outside of the villa. Not only that, but he suggested to Dejon he still liked Shakira too, or at least that he hadn't fully processed what happened between them because he moved straight on with Helena.
Helena was left crying over the situation, as other Islanders called out Harry's behaviour. So when the Grafties kicked off and the clip of Helena played, Harry's reaction shocked everyone, including viewers tuning in.
He claimed to be bothered about Helena not being honest with him, and Toni immediately picked up on Harry "trying to pick a fight" with Helena just hours after he learned Shakira still liked him. Viewers believed Toni was onto something, and they too questioned if he had an agenda.
Fans immediately suspected Harry was "looking for an out" with Helena, and was perhaps trying to force her to end things, or make it seem as though she was the cause of their split, if a split happened. Fans accused Harry of looking for a way to end things without coming across as the bad guy.
Slamming his antics as "diabolical" and "shameful", fans said they knew exactly what he was doing. One viewer said online: "I think Harry is trying to pick a fight with Helena so he can end it and make her seem like the villain… not on."
Another fan agreed: "Nah Harry really gonna pick a fight here so he can try and crack on with Shakira again. He's an actual piece of s**t." A third fan said: "Harry we know why you're tryna pick a fight have some shame."
A fourth fan commented: "Harry is a sick sick man picking a fight with Helena so he has an out is diabolical." A further comment read: "HARRY IS A VILLAIN. HE IS GOING TO USE HELENA'S ACTIONS TO PICK A FIGHT AND FREE HIMSELF LIKE HE AINT BEING DOING ALL THAT AND THEN SOME!!!!"

There was no love on Love Island but there's an awful reason viewers have lapped up the most toxic season yet
It's billed as the island to find love if you are willing to get grafting and put all your eggs in one basket. But season 7 of dating show Love Island USA was more like 'Toxic Island' by the time the finale rolled around on July 13 as there were no official couples in the top four and two contestants had been removed from the show after their previous disgusting social media posts resurfaced. The toxicity and poor communication skills floating around the reality TV show villa created an environment in which it was impossible to foster real connections – not unlike today's real life dating scene, according to psychologists. Daily Mail spoke to psychologists and relationship experts who revealed why, despite the car crash relationships that played out on screens, the show proved so popular and drew in more viewers than ever this season and saw hundreds of watch parties pop-up at bars and restaurants across the country. Dr. Marni Feuerman, a licensed psychotherapist and relationship expert, explained that, when people are suffering publicly - like after a car crash on the side of the road, people can't help but watch. 'They're wanting to see it for themselves,' Feuerman said. When we see other people posting about drama and turmoil, we want to experience it too, hence why more and more people were tuning into Love Island this year. Feuerman explained that the toxicity viewers witnessed on Love Island is not all that different to what's going on in modern dating in the real world. She said: 'There's a lot of very hot and cold behaviors – almost like ghosting.' The premise of the show sees a group of hot singles willingly trapped in a villa for weeks to explore romantic connections with each other as the audience can help vote contestants off the show to make way for new ones. At the end, one lucky couple who wins the public vote scores $100,000 and guaranteed social media stardom. Feuerman described how the premise of the show is similar to 'swiping mentality' that has become common with the rise of dating apps. 'I think there's a bit of a swiping culture mentality – we see the contestants quickly couple up and uncouple and recouple. There's this sort of disposable nature,' she told Daily Mail. She likened some of the behaviors exhibited by islanders to 'love bombing', saying, 'There's very rapid intensification early on. Some couples are saying they love each other right away, but really it's infatuation. And then, when the dust settles, there's a lot of instability and stress,' which is also common in real life dating experiences, Feuerman says. Earlier this month Peacock revealed that Season 7 has officially become the platform's most-watched entertainment series on mobile devices, with nearly 30 percent of viewership happening on phones and tablets. And since relaunching the app in May ahead of Season 7, it has averaged more than 100,000 new unique users per day and latest figures as of July 8 show it had surpassed 5.5 million unique users in total. On July 25th, it was announced that Season 7 was Peacock's most-watched original ever, with a total of 18.4 billion minutes viewed. Peacock also reported that 49 percent of the audience were first-time watchers. Psychologists say that what kept viewers watching this year was the relentless drama and the fact that the audience had chance to direct the narrative with brutal public voting. In episode 12, the public voted to interfere with a couple, consisting of Jeremiah Brown and Huda Mustafa, by choosing him to 're–couple' with a 'bombshell' new contestant. Viewers knew that this would cause Huda great distress because of her intense attachment to Jeremiah at that point in the show, yet they did it anyway. Therapist Jennifer Ochiagha explained that viewers want to have power over the show. Once it was a trending opinion online that Jeremiah was a victim in his relationship, fans wanted to give him an 'out', Ochiagha said. Ochiagha explained that audience members become attached to certain characters because they want to relate their own lives to the contestants. 'People want to see themselves in somebody,' she said. Ochiagha went on to divulge that many issues in the villa stemmed from islanders' unresolved attachment styles, and how those styles showed up under pressure. 'We saw a lot of avoidant and anxious behaviors play out in real time. Some islanders would shut down when things got too real, while others clung harder for reassurance, and I think that's a clear example of how unhealed attachment can impact communication and trust,' the therapist said. 'Anxiety and avoidance playing out in real time was the most common theme I saw,' she continued. This season was also marred with controversy. Within the first two days, contestant Yulissa Escobar was kicked out of the villa after a video of her saying a racial slur re–surfaced. The revelation of this clip begged the question: how thoroughly are Love Island producers vetting their contestants. This question would come up time and time again throughout the season. One X user wrote, 'i think this season of love island usa's downfall was a combination of the producers not doing basic background checks and the fans being psychotic.' Another posted, 'How some of these Love Island USA contestants only getting caught making racist comments? Who did background checks this year? This is crazy!' 'So this season of Love Island USA they just didn't do background checks,' said another. Towards the end of the season, producers had to force the exit of another contestant – Cierra Ortega. An old social media post of Ortega using a slur circulated online. Internet users called for the producer's removal of Cierra, and when they did, what awaited her on the outside was a concerning mountain of online hate. Her family had to release a statement begging viewers to ease off. Once Ortega, 25, was shipped back from Fiji to California, she shared some of the messages cluttering her inbox that were verbally abusing her. This raises the question of how well islanders are taken care off after they leave the island. According to Vogue, there is a full team supporting cast members before, during and after filming. Islanders have access to – on top of producers, managers and HR – a duty of care representative, two on–site licensed psychologists and a full–time welfare manager who oversees the daily care of participants. Before selection, potential islanders go through multiple rounds of assessments with a psychologist to get a full understanding of their background and mental health. Each contestant is required to get a letter from their doctors giving them the okay to go on the show, according to a TikTok made by season 4 contestant Deb Chubb. Then, once officially picked for the show, islanders are assigned a psychologist who is there for them throughout their time in the villa. After leaving the villa, islanders go through an offboarding process – which consists of two meetings with a psychologist before going home, and follow–ups at least once a month for up to six months. When Huda – who is a 24–year–old single mother – started exhibiting worrying behaviors on the show, viewers once again wondered if the pre–filming examinations were rigorous enough. These concerns were confirmed when, after coming out of the villa, Huda revealed on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast that she had an 'extremely abusive' childhood. 'When I was in middle school, there was a point where I wanted to take my own life. I did not want to live anymore,' she told Cooper. The 24–year–old explained that, because of those traumatic early experiences, many things in the villa 'triggered' her. Ochiagha says it's extremely important for islanders to have access to a mental health professional - or even reality TV support groups - after the show to 'handle the new hate', and prepare for seeing themselves back on camera in the same way millions of eyes saw them. The importance of continued support for islanders after the show is especially pertinent given the three suicides of cast members from Love Island UK. Contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis have both taken their lives since being on the show, as has the former host, Caroline Flack. Daily Mail reached out to Love Island USA for further comment.

In the lengthy discussion, he opened up about his battles with anxiety and his decision to seek professional help, after his father Alan left during his teenage years. The King of the Jungle met his first therapist at the age of 18, around the time McFly were first making waves in the music industry. Having realised the positive impact therapy had on his mental health, he has pursued his path to healing ever since. Quizzed about his wife's reaction to his personal struggles, he admitted she had her reservations at first, but these changed once he explained his need for it. "It's just little steps over the years that you do and I think it's the same with healing and the same with dealing. I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say," he shared. "You know, it's great talking to friends, it's great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn't understand why I had to go at first. "She's like, 'Why don't you talk to me? Why can't I help you?' But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and podcasts helped me massively." Danny said he found particular solace in listening to Mel Robbins, famed for her TEDx talk How to Stop Screwing Yourself Over, and business owners who shared his sentiments. "I just related to these people over the years of listening to podcasts and I found it so helpful," he revealed. "That's when I went to my wife and I was like, 'I think I need to go back to therapy', because I had that Ashley guy (one of his therapists) when I was 18, but then I feel like I needed it again. "And I felt like how many times can my wife hear me talk about this? And I didn't want it to get too much for her." While he is now in an improved mental and emotional state thanks to therapy, Danny said he still occasionally grapples with understanding his feelings. Reflecting on his stint in last year's I'm A Me Out Of Here!, he added: "There's definitely things that I've learned in the jungle, that I need to just talk about, [such as] understanding myself, and understanding my emotions. Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has admitted she was stunned to fall pregnant so fast after agreeing to have a second child with boyfriend Billy Webb - who was jailed in 2023 for drugs crimes Shaughna Phillips has revealed she was shocked to learn she was pregnant a second time - as it all happened so fast. The 31-year-old is already a mother to two-year-old daughter Lucia - who she shares with former estate agent Billy Webb. Reality show fans will know Shaughna shot to fame in 2020 when she was a contestant on the sixth season of ITV's Love Island. She later fell for Billy - who was jailed in 2023 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine - worth at least £360,000. While Billy was sentenced to nine years behind bars - with his trial taking place in the thick of Shaughna's first pregnancy - he is soon to be given early release from his jail term. While behind bars, however, he and Shaughna have managed to conceive their second child - who is expected to arrive in November. Opening up about the conception, Shaughna has explained that she and Billy discussed their plans to expand their little family. However, the Love Island beauty was left stunned by just how quickly she fell pregnant the second time. In a new interview, she joked that she kept one pregnancy test company in business as she bought so many tests just to be ready to find out if she and Billy had been successful or not. And she also revealed she was stunned to see a positive result soon after they agreed to try a second time. She told The Sun:"I was trying. It was my first attempt at, I guess, getting pregnant, like actively trying. And so I knew that there was a chance, but I've probably kept Clear Blue in business. "If you saw my Amazon orders, I was ordering test after test after test. It was actually ridiculous. So, yeah, I knew that there was a chance. But I really didn't expect it to happen on the first try. Like, I'm very lucky in that sense." The reality star's latest interview comes after she already opened up to The Mirror about her second pregnancy plans. She revealed she had been tracking her ovulation to boost her chances of conceiving, and said she was stunned that her baby dream came true so quickly. 'It was the first time that my ovulation window coincided with Billy being home,' she told us when she was already four-and-a-half months pregnant. 'I was like, 'You know what? Why not? Let's just see'. And literally, the next day, I said to Billy, 'I think I'm pregnant.'' And she said: 'I found out very, very early on. I was doing maybe five tests a day. I'm not even exaggerating.' Shaughna said Billy was allowed out from jail on home visits for 'a few days' each month. And while she has so far been forced to raise her daughter as a single parent, she shared her hope that Billy will be released in time for their new arrival. 'I know the date that he's due to be home, but I'm not saying it just because anything could happen,' she admitted cautiously. 'But hopefully he will be fully home before my baby is due.' Last month, Shaughna discussed the gender of her unborn second child during a Q&A with her Instagram followers. One fan asked: "So pleased for you! Are you going to find out the gender?" Shaughna shared a screengrab of herself from a longer video where she was seen with her mouth wide open in shock. She wrote: "We do know the gender, this was my reaction." The star also revealed she will be undergoing a C-Section after having a 'rough' birth with daughter Lucia. Speaking about Lucia's birth, she said: "Induction, 2 days labour, pushed for an hour and she was not moving, She got really stressed and was rushed for forceps which FAILED because she turned around, and then she was rushed for an emergency C-Section and ended up with a postpartum haemorrhage."
