Businessman and polo player Sunjay Kapur, who was once married to actress Karisma Kapoor, passed away in London recently. His sister, Mandhira Kapur Smith, took to Instagram to remember her late brother and her late father, Dr Surinder Kapur. Mandhira is coping with her loss by penning heartfelt tributes on the social media app, and fans are wishing her strength.
Mandhira wrote on Tuesday, 'Missing dad today. Can't believe it's been 10 years 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Bhaiya and him are together looking down on us 🙏🏻. Miss them, our world will never be the same." Mandhira's friends in Bollywood, like Mozes Singh and Bhavana Panday, sent her love in the comments section. Have a look at her post here:
Sunjay Kapur's sudden demise has left his family shattered, especially his sister Mandhira Kapur, who regretted not speaking to him for four years. She also lost her father 10 years ago and shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.
Who is Mandhira Kapur?
Daughter of the late industrialist Dr Surinder Kapur and his wife Rani Surinder Kapur, Mandhira is one of the two sisters of Sunjay Kapur. His other sister is Superna Motwane. A second-generation award-winning entrepreneur, Mandhira is the Managing Director of SMIC Autoparts Pvt. Ltd, which was founded in 2012. The company's global headquarters are in London. Mandhira got married to Luke Smith on June 11, 2023. She is a mother of two kids, Nyna and Jai.
More than a week after Sunjay Kapur's demise, Mandhira shared an emotional post on her Instagram account, revealing that she hadn't spoken to her elder brother for four years over 'egos". Sharing some sweet memories from their childhood, Mandhira admitted, 'My brother and I may not have spoken for the last 4 years, a silly sibling squabble escalated to crazy levels due to egos and natural bullishness; however, that will never take back what we were and what we had."
Towards the end of her note, she expressed gratitude to everyone who sent their condolences and urged everyone who has 'fallen out with someone they love" to learn from her story. She concluded, 'Life is fragile and delicate, each day is a gift, do not miss a day even an hour in some fickleness, you can never be assured that you will have the opportunity to repair the void and if you don't, then that's pretty much all that is left, coupled with regret. I would give anything to just see my bhaiya one last time and tell him how much I love him."

MAGA singer's Canada gigs cancelled: Backlash over Sean Feucht's anti-diversity views; organisers cite safety risks

Sean Feuch (Picture: Instagram) US singer Sean Feucht's permit to hold a concert at the York Redoubt National Historic Site in Halifax was cancelled this week by Parks Canada. Officials cited safety concerns following public backlash against his anti-2SLGBTQ+, anti-women's rights, and anti-diversity remarks on social media. Feucht, a religious performer with links to the MAGA movement, was scheduled to perform on Wednesday. His permits for other events in Charlottetown (P.E.I.), Moncton (New Brunswick), and some parts of Quebec were also revoked soon after. LGBTQ+ groups welcomed the decision. Cameron Cassidy, head of Pride P.E.I., said, 'The City of Charlottetown absolutely did the right thing by revoking that permit. It shows respect for the queer community.' But not everyone agreed. James Turk, director at Toronto Metropolitan University's Centre for Free Expression, said cancelling a permit over a person's views is dangerous. 'The foundation of democracy is public discourse, including ideas we disagree with,' he said. 'Censorship only amplifies such voices.' Feucht later performed at a private venue in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, hosted by pastors Christine and Neil Barr. They said they faced hundreds of hate messages and some protests but went ahead with the show. In response to criticism, Feucht posted: 'If I had shown up with purple hair and a dress, no one would've cared. But my Christian beliefs are seen as a threat.' Opponents said his views go against Parks Canada's values of inclusion and safety. Turk countered that while physical safety must be ensured, 'a subjective feeling of being unsafe' isn't legal grounds to silence someone.

Sometimes it's in uniform, other times in the cinema. But both spark something real: pride, purpose, and power.
