BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — St. Vincent's Medical Center and the City of Bridgeport are turning the city blue this summer.
Wanted felon arrested in Bridgeport, charged with attempted murder
Mayor Joe Ganim and organizers from Swim Across the Sound unveiled the city's newest 'blue' street Monday to raise awareness for the Paint the City Blue banner fundraising campaign. The campaign allows people and businesses the opportunity to buy banners and support cancer patients.
The banners will be displayed from June through September across Bridgeport. The 38th annual Swim Across the Sound will be on Aug. 2.

Details are limited and it's unclear exactly what sparked the verbal altercation in the mall's food court, though investigators said it quickly turned into a physical altercation that left two people with stab wounds. Deadly crash on I-15 near Carmel Mountain Ranch prompts lane closure

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A major crash thwarted traffic on southbound Interstate 15 near Carmel Mountain Ranch on Sunday morning, prompting a temporary lane closure and leaving at least one person dead, authorities said. According to California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 9 a.m. near Camino del Norte and involved four vehicles. Initial reports indicated that three vehicles were involved in a crash in the carpool lane when a fourth vehicle collided with one of the already-disabled cars. The impact contributed to the severity of the incident. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CHP confirmed. Authorities have not confirmed whether that individual is included in the total number of injuries, which may be as high as nine. The crash led to significant traffic delays as the carpool lane was temporarily closed near Carmel Mountain Road from around 9 a.m. until noon. The lane have since reopened to motorists.
