Martinez, 32, kept a clean sheet in the match against the Europa League finalists.
But at the end of the game, there was little celebration from the Argentine goalkeeper.
The stopper could be seen teary-eyed as he applauded the home crowd.
The former Arsenal ace has been linked with a move away from Villa Park with Saudi Arabia touted as a possible destination.
Manager Unai Emery was asked about the goalkeeper's future in his post-match press conference.
The Spaniard was unable to give any assurances that Martinez would be at the club next season.
He said: "We will see.
"Of course, it is the last match (of the season) here, and I don't know.

Martinez has been ever-present in the Villa team since his £20million switch from Arsenal in 2020.
He joined the club after only a few months of regular first-team football in the Premier League.
He has since gone on to become one of the best goalkeepers in world football and won the World Cup in 2022.
The goalkeeper was also awarded with the Yashin Trophy in 2023 and 2024.
Martinez also posted on Instagram a picture of himself looking emotional as he waved to the supporters.
He captioned a post: "Thank you for all your support this season.
"We finished strong at home but we got one more final to go."
Emery also mentioned Leon Bailey who was also in tears at the full-time whistle.
He added: "Of course, Leon Bailey is playing now less because other players are responding very well. They are performing well.
"And we are going to play Manchester United for the last three points. And for us it will be very important again, to prepare, to be focused everybody.
"And of course, then we will see about everything, how we are going to try to get better for the next season."

David de Gea sends Man Utd message as goalkeeper prepares for Old Trafford return
Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea spent more than a decade with Manchester United but left the club in 2023 when Erik ten Hag was in charge at the Premier League club Manchester United will welcome goalkeeper David de Gea back to Old Trafford this weekend, two years after he left the club. And the Spaniard has sent a message to fans aead of his return. The former Atletico Madrid star saw his contract expire in 2023, joining Fiorentina a full year later. The Viola are due in Manchester on Saturday for what will be United's final warm-up game ahead of the new season - a year to the day after De Gea moved to Tuscany. "United Road. See you Saturday," De Gea wrote on social media. The keeper's comments were met with positivity from United supporters, some of whom even suggested he'd be preferable to the English side's current options in the home goal. "Right after the game, we won't let you out of Old Trafford. Fiorentina can go with [Andre] Onana," one supporter wrote under De Gea's message. "Welcome home Dave," wrote a second, with a third saying: "We miss you". "Will be great seeing you play again. Terrible how our club treat you," was the verdict from a fourth. De Gea's former club are looking to round off an unbeaten pre-season campaign by getting the better of Fiorentina. After a goalless draw with Leeds in Stockholm, Ruben Amorim's team claimed two wins and a draw in the Premier League Summer Series in the United States. There was room for improvement in the last of those games, a 2-2 draw with Everton, which prompted captain Bruno Fernandes to ask questions. Ruben Amorim's side will now hope to go out with a bang before beginning their Premier League campaign against Arsenal on August 17. United could find themselves without first-choice keeper Onana for the weekend friendly. The Cameroon international has been working his way back from injury and is optimistic about returning for the league opener, but the Fiorentina match-up may still come too early. "l'm good, I feel great," Onana told NBC during United's spell in the US. "It's been a few difficult weeks but yeah, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season. I'm enjoying the training with my guys and we are looking forward." Reflecting on the tour, he added: "We're happy with the way things are going. We play well, score goals and I'm happy how the team is developing themselves. Let's see. I think it's going to be important to have a good start against Arsenal and then everything is possible."

Hibs have been warned to expect a Partizan Belgrade team cranked up to 'cup final' levels of intensity as the Serbs prepare for 'the most important match of the season' on Thursday night. The home side head into this week's first leg of the Europa Conference League third qualifying round tie buoyed by a weekend win – and eager to drum up a large fanatical support for a crucial contest. With the losers of Larnaca v Legia Warsaw awaiting the winners of this contest in the play-off round, Partizan are aware that they could progress to claim revenge against the Cypriot side who knocked them out of the Europa League just a few weeks ago. But club president Rasim Ljajic insists no-one at the club is looking that far ahead. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'The Hibernian game is like a final for now,' said Ljajic. 'We know that, if we want to go further, we have to win this one. 'We are focused on Hibernian and focused on this round of qualifications. We cannot rush ahead. It is important to be ready for this round – and think about the next opponent later, especially as we may know each other. 'The visit of Hibernian this week is the most important match of the season for us. No-one should doubt that.' Serbs seeking revenge on Cypriot conquerors Partizan were knocked out in the first qualifying round of the Europa League on penalties by Larnaca, who won 1-0 at home and then lost 2-1 in Belgrade to force extra time, before winning the shoot-out with a score of 6-5. There was definitely a feeling of déjà vu among the Serbs after Monday's play-off round draw at UEFA HQ. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'The draw for the play-off could have been easier,' admitted Ljajic. 'Or it could have been harder. But we're used to doing things the hard way at Partizan. 'We could have tried to build this team and this spirit in a hurry. But it would be short-lived. 'As you know, we never have things easy. And I think we need a bit of luck, like any team in football. But I expect positive results because of the hard work of these young players, who burn with desire and passion for Partizan every time they take the field. 'We were actually fortunate in Larnaca. But our luck deserted us in the second game at home. Objectively, most people could see that we deserved to go further. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'We can prove that now. But first we need to win this final against Hibernian.' Star player Milan Vukotic, meanwhile, insisted there was no time for players to celebrate Sunday's dramatic late comeback win over local rivals Radnicki. The attacking threat insists he and his team-mates have only one thought in mind ahead of Thursday. 'Victories are important because winning gives us real confidence in what we are doing,' said Vukotic. 'But we have to be aware that there is no time to celebrate. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'With games so fast, we have to go step by step and focus on the next challenge. That is the game against Hibernian; nothing else matters next to that. Everything else must come second to our European game. 'At this moment, all I can promise is that we will give everything and do our best. With the support of the fans lifting us, we can be better than anyone imagines.'
