JoJo Siwa Reveals How She Was Guided After Karma
The self-proclaimed "CEO of Gay Pop" seems to always be wedged in the middle of a headline, surrounded by speculation and controversy. Most recently, it's been surrounding her sexuality and her relationship with a cisgender man — because, heaven forbid, someone's sexuality isn't easy for other people to understand.
We spent so much time unnecessarily crawling around in JoJo's bedroom looking for gotcha clues that we overlooked a very compelling interview on the We Need to Talk podcast in April, where she broke down what was going on during that debut of her adult persona.
"So the last year of my life is the only time when it was different. The last year from 'Karma' to about three months ago, really, that's the only time it's been different," JoJo told podcast host Paul C. Brunson. "I've, you know, listened to outside opinions and gone certain ways and done certain things that maybe I wouldn't have necessarily done, choices I wouldn't have necessarily made. But I did, and I trusted because I wanted to do essentially what my boss said."
If you remember, right after "Karma" dropped, JoJo had a string of performances that had some very questionable moments, and now it's revealed that it wasn't always her decision to make those moves. "I had a bit of a breakdown and I cried, and I said, 'Why am i pretending that I'm drinking alcohol and being crazy? I'm a good girl.' I'm saying I'm drinking Fireball on stage, but it's apple juice."
JoJo admitted that she was actually coached in that direction after "Karma" went viral. "It's been guided, and it's been, honestly, I'll be honest. 'Karma' was me," she said. "I wanted to do that, I wanted to do that song, I wanted to do that dance, I wanted to do that makeup, I like that. Everything after the day 'Karma' was released was not me."
Misguidance be damned, JoJo's not looking back on those moments with regret because they've led to some "beautiful" milestones in life today. "That's very tough, because I look back at my last year of my life, and I think, whoa, it could be so different. I could be in a way different place now," she continued. "But, if I was in a way different place now, I wouldn't be on [Celebrity] Big Brother. I wouldn't have met my partner, you know what I mean? There's so many beautiful things in my life that they'd be so different if I wouldn't have made changes. So, I'm happy I did."
In the time she was on Big Brother, with society being so wrapped up trying to erase the reality of queerness or fluidity, JoJo reclaimed her journey. "I realized that I was in control for the first time again, but I was still acting as if I wasn't. It was interesting. I was kind of being guided everywhere and I just needed to stop, and I just needed to have a beat."
"Then this beautiful song fell into my lap that is a song saying exactly how I feel right now. As soon as I get out of the Big Brother house, I literally have a day and then I go into rehearsals for the music video for that song, and it was very important to me that that was the message that I shared because it's for the first time, again, exactly how I feel," JoJo added, referring to her new song "Bulletproof."
"I'm finally with a song not singing about — I'm happy, I'm positive, I'm on top of the world. I feel great. It's not a song about that. It's a song about the opposite," she said.
You know what? Hell yeah. People can learn something from JoJo if they can take a beat and stop trying to "guide" her into a box.

According to court records reviewed by PEOPLE, The Real Housewives of Orange County star was pulled over by police while in Orange County, Calif., on May 21. Beador, 61, was cited for "driving while operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic wireless communications device." Although she was cited and released, she has until July 11 to pay the fine, which is $20 for the first offense and $50 for each subsequent offense. Reps for Beador did not immediately return PEOPLE's request for comment. Us Weekly was the first to report the news. The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! How quickly can you solve it? Play now! Beador's probation is set to end on November 1, 2026, according to court records reviewed by PEOPLE, and stems from her arrest on Sept. 17, 2023. At the time, the Newport Beach Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that Beador was "arrested at 1:17 a.m. on Sept. 17 after fleeing the scene from a collision that caused property damage." After allegedly abandoning her car in the middle of the road, police found her walking her dog, according to an initial report by TMZ. Law enforcement officials told the outlet, which was the first to report the news, that she had a .24 blood alcohol level, which is three times the legal limit. The NBPD told PEOPLE that Beador had been "booked for two misdemeanors — hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was released on a citation." Her lawyer, Michael L. Fell, told PEOPLE at the time that Beader was "extremely apologetic and remorseful." "We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions," said Fell. "I could have killed someone," she said. "And part of my therapy has been trying to move past that guilt and shame. You say to yourself, 'I could have killed someone... but I didn't.' So I don't want it to appear that I'm taking any of this lightly, because there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about it. But I didn't hurt someone, and I'm grateful for that." Why Jeff Bezos & Lauren Sanchez's Kids Weren't Seen at Their Venice Wedding
Despite anyone and everyone powerful in Hollywood showing up to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's Venice wedding, many wondered something: 'Where are their kids?!' Well, both Bezos and Sanchez ensure their children's privacy, with Bezos being very protective of his adult children in the public eye. But because of this, many wonder if they even showed up to the wedding, and if they did, where are the photos? Well, we're here to break it all down for you. You can search far and wide, and trust us, we have, but as of today, you can't find any photos of their children at the Venice wedding. To know who we're talking about, let's discuss: Sánchez has three children: Nikko Gonzalez, born on Feb 12, 2001, Evan Whitesell, born June 22, 2006, and Eleanor 'Ella' Whitesell, born Jan 15, 2008. More from SheKnows Jeff Bezos' Children: All About His 4 Kids With Ex-Wife MacKenzie Scott As for Bezos, he shares four children with his ex‑wife MacKenzie Scott: a son named Preston Bezos, born in 2000, as well as two private sons and a daughter adopted from China. And here's the thing: there are no photos of them anywhere from the Venice celebration. None of them seem to have social media, so fans can't verify if they were there or not with a subtle Instagram story post. But did they attend? Well, Sanchez's kids actually played major roles in their wedding. Per TMZ, her sons walked her down the aisle, and her daughter was her maid of honor! Now, here's the thing: we're sure Bezos' children attended his wedding. However, he is so private with his children that we don't even know three of his children's names or birthdays. In fact, Gawker did a huge investigative piece to even find the names of his children (and they discovered one of his sons is reportedly named George, and attends Yale for art.) So, combined with the family's innate need for privacy and Bezos's efforts to shield certain aspects of the wedding from public view, I think we can safely conclude the mystery of the missing photos is of SheKnows 15 Celebrity Men Who Are Always Gushing About Their Wives 25 of the Most Expensive Celebrity Weddings of All Time Dakota Brubaker & Ava Phillippe, & More of the Best Red Carpet Debuts From Celebrity Couples Over the Years

LeAnn Rimes Opens up About Her Affair With Eddie Cibrian: 'I Know What I'm Responsible For'
When LeAnn Rimes and her husband Eddie Cibirian first started dating, their relationship was anything but simple. After all, both of them were still married to other people at the time. And while they've been together in the many years since, the two are still acknowledging everything they've been through along the way. In a new interview with Flow Space, Rimes reflected on 'all of the craziness we went through' at the beginning of their relationship. More from SheKnows Bradley Cooper Gave a Rare Insight Into Friend Anne Hathaway's Longtime Marriage to Adam Shulman According to her, one of her biggest takeaways was people's reactions to their affair. 'I realized very quickly that there are a lot of women who've been hurt. Like, I've been on both sides of that coin—I've been cheated on, too, so I know that feeling,' she said. 'But so many women don't know what to do with that anger… I was a target that was just easily projected upon. And once I realized that, things got a lot easier.' 'Instead of taking it so personally, it's like, look: This is not all my pain to carry. I know what I'm responsible for in the situation and making amends for that,' she explained. 'But you know, the world's pain is not mine to carry, and I think that really got thrown at me for a long time.' As a reminder, when Rimes and Cibrian fell in love on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2008, Cibrian was married to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville, whom he shares two sons with, while Rimes was married to renowned chef Dean Sheremet since 2002. Later in the interview, Rimes talked about her relationship with Cibrian, now 14 years since their 2011 wedding. Rimes said their daily life includes cooking healthy recipes she finds on Pinterest and going to sleep early. Their secret? 'We are in bed by 7:30!' she said. 'She is so proactive in her health journey—emotionally, physically, spiritually,' Cibrian added of his wife. 'That it's truly inspiring.'
