Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White has given details of the ambitious logistics and matchmaking plan regarding the historic UFC White House promotion of July 2026.
The historic pay-per-view will take place at the orders of President Donald Trump, marking the 250th birthday of America, with unprecedented complexity being systematically handled by White and his team through massive pre-planning and coordination at the highest level.
Dana White addresses security protocols and venue limitations
Dana white revealed that his team of producers has already carried out exhaustive site analysis at the white house, where they have been consulting presidential staff to analyse the South Lawn location.
During the next several weeks, the president of the UFC is planning to submit elaborate plans of its operation to President Donald Trump, where Ivanka Trump has been appointed to coordinate the project.
Mixed martial arts events in the white house have particular difficulties that normal venues do not present, since it is a logistical nightmare. White admitted that the Secret Service security measures will require a broad background check regimen of all who attend, effectively changing the usual ticketing procedures.

The White House card, in contrast to regular UFC cards, will also involve free attendance (with invitations only).
The admissions capacity of the venue is not determinable over security reasons, but on the part of President Donald Trump, it was initially not more than 20000-25000 spectators. White stressed that this is an unprecedented event and there is need to come up with new things and therefore, these paying viewers will have an exclusive experience as they ballad the visual background as there will be the White House on one side and the Washington Monument on the other, which is a historical first in the radio screen, and he is taking it to a different level.
Dana White eyes Jon Jones versus Tom Aspinall as a potential headline attraction
Although appreciating the fact that fight arrangements are not close since the timeline is a year, Dana White has come up with a couple of dream match-ups. Former UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is officially out of his brief retirement and has signed back up to the anti-doping program with the express permission to resume fighting so that he can enter the White House. Dana White verified that the Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall heavyweight championship match would be an undeniable main event.
Other rumours are introducing a co-main event with Conor McGregor, although Dana White emphasised that the new future of UFC makes it hard to make predicted decisions. The president of the UFC has vowed to bring to the ring the bloodiest card ever in history, and almost all fighters have made it known that they want to be included.

Is Ilia Topuria Ducking Arman Tsarukyan? Sean O'Malley Says, 'Why Risk It...'

Last Updated: O'Malley understands UFC lightweight champ Ilia Topuria's hesitation to fight Arman Tsarukyan, citing bigger names like Makhachev, Gaethje, and Pimblett as better options. Sean O'Malley isn't surprised that UFC champion Ilia Topuria is hesitant to book a showdown with the division's No. 1 contender, Arman Tsarukyan. Fresh off his first-round knockout of Charles Oliveira to claim the lightweight crown at UFC 317, Topuria now finds himself weighing risk versus reward for his first title defense. And 'Suga" admits he understands the champion's calculation. 'Arman definitely has a chance," O'Malley told The Overdogs Podcast. 'He definitely has a shot." Yet when O'Malley considers Topuria's position, he sees bigger names and bigger paydays on the table. 'In Ilia's mind… Ilia's such a massive superstar right now. It's like, why fight Arman when you could fight Islam [Makhachev] or even Gaethje is a bigger fight than Arman. I think Paddy is a bigger fight," O'Malley explained. That trio—Islam, Gaethje, and Paddy Pimblett—garner more eyeballs and bigger promotional buzz than Tsarukyan, whose resume, though formidable, doesn't light up the marquee quite like the others. 'So it just depends on where Ilia's head's at. Does he want to just go out there and say hey, I want the next best guy? I feel like he's kinda past that," O'Malley added. 'He's kinda like, who's the biggest fight? What's gonna [get] the most attention? And in his mind, it's not Arman right now. So, I kinda get where he's coming from. Why risk it against someone that's not super popular, who's very, very, very dangerous? Arman's very dangerous. So, I kinda get that from Ilia's perspective." O'Malley's own title reign carries a similar storyline of calculated matchmaking. He defended his bantamweight strap once—dominating Chito Vera in a five-round decision at UFC 299—rather than facing then–No. 1 Merab Dvalishvili, who was locked in a ten-fight win streak. Ultimately, Dvalishvili ended O'Malley's 392-day reign at UFC 306 last September. Just as O'Malley once picked his spots, Topuria is choosing marquee names over mandatory duties. For now, fans will have to wait and see if the UFC champ switches gears and grants Tsarukyan his long-awaited title shot—or fights fate and forfeits gold altogether. view comments First Published: August 02, 2025, 15:10 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. IND vs ENG 5th Test: 'Trolled a lot, but stood up today' – Former India cricketer applauds Prasidh Krishna's four-wicket haul

India's Prasidh Krishna (AP Photo/Kirsty Wigglesworth) Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has praised Prasidh Krishna's performance in the fifth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at The Oval, where the pacer claimed four crucial wickets in England's first innings on Friday, August 1. Krishna, who had faced criticism for his inability to adapt to English conditions, registered figures of 4/62 in 16 overs, helping India restrict England to 247. India finished Day 2 at 75/2 in their second innings, establishing a lead of 52 runs over the hosts. Krishna's performance proved particularly effective on the bouncy Oval pitch, where he dismissed key batsmen including Zak Crawley , Jamie Smith, Jamie Overton, and Gus Atkinson. In fact, I was reading somewhere that if you keep a polar bear for so long in the inland, it will acclimatize, but Prasidh Krishna has still not done that," Chopra said in a video on his YouTube channel. Prasidh Krishna press confefence: On sledging Joe Root, special chat with Mohammed Siraj and more "He said no issues, picked up four wickets, and he bowled well. "He has got the pace. Again, not a finished product by any stretch of imagination, but despite being a work in progress, he has done a good job. Picking up four wickets was extremely important. Mohammed Siraj picked up four wickets and Akash Deep took one, and India had to dismiss only nine players as Chris Woakes is out of the match," Chopra elaborated. Poll Who had the better performance in the first innings, Krishna or Siraj? Prasidh Krishna Mohammed Siraj Both performed equally The match began with England's aggressive approach, as Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett established a quick 92-run opening partnership in just 12.5 overs. Crawley scored 64 off 57 balls before Krishna provided India with their first breakthrough after lunch. "England did come all guns blazing. They kept hitting, and it seemed like we didn't have any plans in the first 10-15 overs. They came with a plan that they would hit, and we were only looking behind our shoulders at that point in time," Chopra commented on India's initial bowling performance. "However, then we started to come back. It was a lion-hearted effort from Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna made an excellent contribution, and overall, you conceded a very slender lead," Chopra added. Mohammed Siraj matched Krishna's performance with figures of 4/86 in 16.2 overs, while Akash Deep contributed with 1/80 in 17 overs, dismissing Ben Duckett who scored 43 off 38 balls. The English innings was cut short as Chris Woakes could not bat due to a shoulder injury. The combined efforts of Krishna and Siraj proved crucial in preventing England from building a substantial first-innings lead, keeping India competitive in the match. Krishna's performance demonstrated his ability to utilize the favorable conditions at The Oval, despite previous criticisms about his adaptation to English conditions.
