work-life balance
is 'nonexistent,' stating that he is mostly working when he's awake. He added that at the time when he is not working, he is thinking about work. His comments, made during an interview with Stripe CEO Patrick Collison last year, are gaining attention at a time when his company surpassed the combined valuation of
Meta
and Amazon, valuing more than $4.2 trillion.
'I work from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. I work seven days a week,' the 62-year-old executive told Collison last year.
'When I'm not working, I'm thinking about working… I sit through movies, but I don't remember them because I'm thinking about work,' he added.

Huang's work ethic is reportedly credited by many for Nvidia's success, with the company's stock price having skyrocketed by 1,600% over the last five years. Huang, however, clarifies that his work isn't always confined to answering emails or attending meetings.
He often spends his time as a leader envisioning the future of the company, a process he describes as 'fantasizing' and 'dreaming.'
'Sometimes you're imagining the future. And, boy, if we did this and that. It's working, you're fantasizing, you're dreaming,' he said at the interview.
One of his long-term goals is to transform Nvidia into a 'one giant AI,'
'I want to turn NVIDIA into a one giant AI,' Jensen said, adding, 'How great would that be? And then I'll have work-life balance.'
Recently, a report said that Huang may have leapfrogged Apple's Tim Cook and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in emerging as the most politically influential technology leader within the Donald Trump administration.
According to Dan Ives of Wedbush, CNBC reported that in 'Trump 2.0,' Nvidia surpassed Apple in terms of valuation under Huang's leadership as the company's role in the AI revolution has pushed him above other tech executives.

China's artificial intelligence companies have announced two new industry alliances, aiming to develop a domestic ecosystem to reduce dependence on foreign tech as they seek to cope with U.S. export restrictions on advanced Nvidia chipsets. The conference showcased a slew of new products, such as an AI computing system from Huawei that experts believe rivals Nvidia's most advanced offering, as well as consumer-friendly products such as several kinds of digital AI glasses. The "Model-Chip Ecosystem Innovation Alliance" brings together Chinese developers of large language models (LLMs) and AI chip manufacturers. "This is an innovative ecosystem that connects the complete technology chain from chips to models to infrastructure," said Zhao Lidong, CEO of Enflame, one of the participating chipmakers. Other manufacturers of graphics processing units (GPUs) in the alliance include Huawei, Biren, and Moore Threads, which have been hit by U.S. sanctions that block them from purchasing advanced tech made with U.S. know-how. The alliance was announced by StepFun, an LLM developer. A second alliance, the Shanghai General Chamber of Commerce AI Committee, aims to "promote the deep integration of AI technology and industrial transformation." Participants include SenseTime, also sanctioned by the U.S. and which has pivoted from facial recognition technology to LLMs. Others are StepFun and another LLM developer, MiniMax, as well as chipmakers Metax and Iluvatar CoreX. Huawei's system design capabilities have meant that it has been able to use more chips and system-level innovations to compensate for weaker individual chip performance, SemiAnalysis said. At least six other Chinese computing firms showcased similar "clustering" chip technology. Metax demonstrated an AI supernode featuring 128 C550 chips designed to support large-scale liquid-cooled data centre requirements. Other events included Tencent's unveiling of its open-source Hunyuan3D World Model 1.0, which the company said enables users to generate interactive 3D environments through text or image prompts. Baidu announced what it said was next-generation "digital human" technology that helps businesses to create virtual livestreamers. It features "cloning technology" that can replicate a human's voice, tone, and body language from just 10 minutes of sample footage. Alibaba was among those announcing AI glasses. Its Quark AI Glasses are powered by its Qwen AI model and are due to be released in China by the end of 2025. They will allow users to access the tech giant's map service for easy navigating and to use Alipay by scanning QR codes with voice commands.

Punjab to raise Rs 2,500cr via 15-year stock

Chandigarh: The Punjab govt has decided to raise Rs 2,500 crore through the sale of Punjab govt stock (securities) of a 15-year tenure. The objective of the loan has been specified to finance capital expenditure of plan schemes and other development schemes currently under execution in the state. As per a notification issued by the finance department on July 25, the Centre's consent has been obtained for this loan. The govt stock will be sold through the Reserve Bank of India by auction. The stock will have a 15-year tenure, commencing on July 30, 2025. The loan will be repaid at par on July 30, 2040. The cut-off yield determined at the auction will decide the coupon rate per annum on the stock sold. Interest will be paid on Jan 30 and July 30 each year. The cash-strapped Punjab govt recently decided to avail a loan of Rs 8,500 crore during the second quarter of the present fiscal — July to Sept. During April and May, the govt availed loans of Rs 6,241.92 crore. Pune: The district has 1,244 projects which cannot entertain fresh bookings or sales since MahaRERA has marked them 'under abeyance' — meaning they have not received completion certificates or applied for deadline extensions. The hard-earned money of many an individual remains stuck as a result. Eleven 11 years on, a Pune IT professional is yet to get possession of his flat in a project on the foothills of Sinhagad. Despite a number of MahaRERA orders in his favour, neither has the project been completed nor has he received a refund. The project is marked under abeyance on the MahaRERA website now, stopping new bookings and sales. The buyer was among the first to invest in the project, which is not even 20% complete. "My money amounting to Rs30 lakh is stuck. The builder is not showing any intent to complete the work. I've stopped following up now, since nothing is moving." MahaRERA has listed 4,904 real estate projects under abeyance across Maharashtra. Pune district has as many as 1,244 such projects, followed by Thane (548), Raigad (473), Mumbai suburban (441), Nashik (250) and Nagpur (247). MahaRERA officials said projects under abeyance failed to submit completion or extension details despite continuous reminders. "We've issued notices to the developers and given them sufficient time. The projects which failed to comply are barred from registering any new sale or agreement. The project bank accounts have been frozen," they said. The state property registration department was also sent the list of stalled projects to prevent further transactions. Consumer bodies have demanded strict action now. "Buyers cannot execute the sale deed unless completion and occupancy certificates are uploaded. Their partial payment remains stuck indefinitely," said a consumer rights activist, who urged MahaRERA to process refunds in cases of persistent non-compliance. It's common for builders and buyers to enter an agreement for sale, followed by a sale deed after construction is complete and payments made. The agreement for sale outlines terms and conditions and promises certain facilities, while the sale deed transfers ownership legally. Meanwhile, developers' body CREDAI acknowledged the issue, but said delays were also because of lag in website updation. "Many developers have already uploaded their completion certificate (CC), but the abeyance tag remains. We've taken this up," said Sunil Furde, CREDAI's national executive. Requesting anonymity, a developer said, "I uploaded the CC over a month ago, but it's still not reflecting. Such a delay hurts both developers and buyers." RERA Act says developers are mandated to upload both commencement and completion/occupancy certificates to ensure transparency and buyer protection. MahaRERA data showed that only 17,413 of the 50,986 registered projects in the state were marked complete.
