Expedite setting up of Reliance CBG plants: AP energy minister
Gottipati said that the establishment of CBG plants in the State would not only benefit local farmers but also create employment and livelihood opportunities for educated youth, encouraging people to voluntarily come forward to support the setting up of these plants.
A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar at the Secretariat on Thursday to review the progress of Reliance's green energy investments in the State.
During the review meeting, Gottipati instructed that the officials to expedite setting up of Reliance CBG plants and said that a review would be conducted once every 15 days.
He stated that the plants at Vayumadugu and PC Palli are scheduled to be completed and commissioned by March 2026. In addition to Prakasam district, CBG plants are also being established in select constituencies of Sri Sathya Sai, Nandyal, and Anantapur districts. In the next phase, plants will be set up in the Kandukur, Atmakur, and Udayagiri areas of Nellore district.
Reliance representatives expressed satisfaction with the full cooperation extended by the State government. They said that the CBG plants would provide support to local farmers and create employment opportunities for local youth across the State. On the occasion, Gottipati instructed the concerned line agencies to extend all necessary support to fast-track land allotments, resolve inter-departmental issues promptly, and coordinate closely with Reliance teams at the district level.
He emphasised that this mega green energy initiative holds great potential for rural development, job creation, and industrial growth. He responded positively to Reliance on the support required from the State government. Reliance representatives said that the organisation has already invested over `1,000 crore in the last 18 months for the establishment of eight CBG plants.

'E-governance plays a vital role in delivering transparent and efficient public services. Estonia's collaboration can be instrumental in enhancing our systems,' said Sridhar Babu. He also underlined the growing significance of cybersecurity, stating, 'As we digitise services, safeguarding them becomes equally critical. Cybersecurity is an area where mutual cooperation with Estonia is essential.' Speaking on the state's technological capabilities, the minister noted Telangana's remarkable growth in drone development. 'Drones manufactured in Hyderabad have demonstrated their strategic value recently in conflicts, including in operations against Pakistan. Future conflicts will be defined by drone warfare and cyberattacks,' he observed. Sridhar Babu also highlighted Telangana's leadership in sectors such as food processing and premium liquor manufacturing and proposed further cooperation with Estonia in these industries as well. Responding positively to Ambassador Luup's invitation, the minister confirmed that a delegation of senior officials from Telangana will travel to Estonia.

Odisha clears Rs 870 crore for four renewable energy projects totalling 178 MW capacity
BHUBANESWAR: The single window committee of Energy department on Thursday approved four renewable energy projects with a cumulative generating capacity of 178 MW. The projects would come up at an estimated cost of Rs 869.8 crore. The panel, chaired by principal secretary Vishal Dev, approved the 69.5 MW solar park project of Prozeal Green Energy Limited at Biramaharajpur in Subarnapur district. INOX Solar Limited received clearance for a 49.5 MW solar project at Telkoi in Keonjhar district, while Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) was granted approval for a 10 MW solar project at Lakhanpur in Jharsuguda district. NLC India Renewables Limited has proposed to set up a wind power project at Papadahandi in Nabarangpur district. Together, these projects account for 128.5 MW of solar and 49.5 MW of wind energy capacity. With these additions, the total renewable energy capacity approved by the single window committee has now reached 1,844.86 MW, attracting cumulative investment commitments of Rs 12,599.79 crore. 'This marks a significant milestone in the clean energy transition and underlines the state government's focus on facilitating ease of doing business in the renewable sector,' said Dev. He said these projects align with Odisha's commitment to achieving its renewable purchase obligations (RPOs) and contributing to India's climate goals while boosting local employment and infrastructure development in the approved districts. The meeting was attended by GRIDCO managing director, directors of GRIDCO and OHPC, principal chief electrical inspector (PCEI) and other senior officers of the department.

CM Naidu adopts 250 families under P4 scheme, urges people's movement to end poverty in AP

Speaking at a review meeting and unveiling the #IAmMargadarsi poster at the Secretariat on Friday, Naidu declared, 'I am adopting 250 families from my Kuppam constituency. I take full responsibility for their holistic development. I've been urging mentors to come forward, and now I'm leading by example by adopting these 250 Bangaru Kutumbams. I will prepare a detailed development plan for them. I am a Margadarsi. No other State has undertaken such an initiative to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.' The Chief Minister expressed confidence that his active participation would inspire others to step forward as Margadarsulu and support underprivileged families. He emphasised that the initiative must become a people's movement, with collective efforts aimed at uplifting the State's most vulnerable communities. Naidu reiterated that empowering poor families is a central goal of the coalition government and urged officials to implement the most effective strategies across all regions. He called on Telugu diaspora to join the initiative and directed officials to engage the AP NRT Society.
