Dusk's bestselling mattress that ends back ache is now £230 off
While it's fun to switch up your space with a new bedding set, investing in the proper sleep setup is crucial. We're talking supportive memory foam pillows, a cosy topper and a mattress that actually supports the spine.
That's why this deal from Dusk, my favourite homeware brand, caught my attention: one of its top-rated hybrid memory foam mattresses is now £349 from £579 for a double - saving shoppers £230. Even better, popping in the code REVEAL at checkout will unlock a mystery discount, dropping the price even lower.
With a 4.92-star average rating and over 730 five-star reviews, this mattress is clearly making a difference. One happy sleeper even wrote: "I was getting back aches every morning, which have now gone. Thank you."
The medium/firm mattress features four premium layers, including plush memory foam and individually wrapped heat-tempered pocket springs for extra support. The outer layer is soft, knitted and removable - ideal for tossing in the wash.
It also comes vacuum-packed for easy delivery (no awkward stair battles) and includes a 100-night sleep trial, allowing shoppers to test it out thoroughly. Dusk also offers a mattress recycling service for £30, which can be added at checkout - perfect if the current mattress has seen better days.

Product Description
For shoppers willing to splurge, Simba is another excellent mattress option. Its bestselling Hybrid Mattress has racked up over 100,000 five-star reviews for its 'supportive' five-layer design.
Emma Sleep is another option. Its Hybrid Premium Mattress features three layers of advanced foam, each designed to enhance sleep by increasing breathability, evenly distributing weight and minimising movement.
The majority of Dusk reviews are positive. One person said: "I struggle with a spinal issue, and I was very sceptical about buying a memory foam bed as sometimes it can make it worse, but this medium/firm mattress has been an absolute godsend. It's soft enough that it's very easy to get super comfortable in, however firm enough that it gives great support. My only struggle now is having to get out of it to go to work."
A second chimed in: " Great mattress, haven't had any issues and have been using for a few months now. It supports me and offers a great night's sleep. Best mattress I've bought in a long time."
However, they added: "It did take a couple of days to decompress, so I would recommend setting up a few days before you want to use it."
Another happy shopper said: "The mattress is amazing. It is the best night's sleep I have had in months." But they had a similar complaint to the previous user: "You need to leave it for a few hours to inflate properly, and be warned it is very heavy."
Meanwhile, another shopper added: "It always feels dubious purchasing a mattress online without trying it first, but I am so pleased we chose this one. It is the perfect balance of firm yet soft, feeling very luxurious without the price tag. We've both slept like babies since we got it. Very happy and well rested."

Indian furniture brand WoodenStreet aims to quadruple revenue in 3 years, mulls IPO, CEO says
July 21 (Reuters) - India's WoodenStreet aims to quadruple its revenue over the next three years by expanding its mattress and modular furniture businesses, and opening dozens of new stores, as it positions itself for a listing, its CEO told Reuters. India's $34 billion furniture sector has been rapidly growing in recent years, with demand for sofas, recliners, wardrobes and beds climbing, as younger consumers with more disposable incomes splurge online and upgrade more frequently. "The idea is (to touch 10 billion rupees ($115.90 million) in revenue) and profitability in the next three years... and going public," WoodenStreet founder and CEO Lokendra Ranawat said in an interview last week. WoodenStreet reported sales of 2.55 billion rupees and net loss of 109 million rupees in fiscal 2024, marking its first loss in at least half a decade, data from business insights provider Tofler showed. To hit its target, WoodenStreet is aggressively expanding into the mattress category with its new "Penguin Sleep" brand, Ranawat said, tapping into post-pandemic consumer focus on wellness, while also making a strong push in modular furniture. WestBridge Capital-backed WoodenStreet, which late last year raised $43 million from Premgi Invest to boost its workforce and manufacturing, sells furniture, from sofa to decor, online and also runs 104 stores across India. Ranawat said WoodenStreet plans to triple its store count within 18-24 months, focussing on major cities, while also considering opportunities in smaller ones. WoodenStreet's rival Wakefit filed for an initial public offering last month, while Duroflex, which also owns the "Sleepyhead" mattress brand, said in April it was looking to go public in the next 18 months. When asked if WoodenStreet would consider a deal akin to Reliance's purchase of its peer Urban Ladder, Ranawat said: "The target is to make it a sustainable and long-term independent brand." Simba rolls out Prime Day deals on mattresses, toppers and pillows
The discounts can only be found on Amazon and apply to selected items Luxury bedding brand Simba has launched an exclusive sale on Amazon, especially for Prime Day. Shoppers can make savings on selected items in categories such as mattresses, toppers and pillows. The deals are available to shop on Simba's Store on Amazon until Friday, July 11. Whether consumers are looking to upgrade their current set-up or try Simba for the first time, the offer includes savings on some its best-selling products. First up is an offer on a king-size Simba Hybrid Essential Mattress, now on sale for £559, down from £749. The hybrid-designed mattress features contoured support and cooling foam, which improves airflow and helps dissipate heat, making it ideal for hot sleepers. Only the king size of this mattress is on sale; the other sizes are still full price. It is made with 'Simbatex foam' on the top, and 1,000 aerocoil springs sit underneath for pressure relief. Alternatively, Dunelm has a sale on all sizes in its Fogarty Dreamy Comfort range, now priced between £167.20 - £263.20, originally £209-£329. It's made from 1,000 pocket springs and is available in small, small double, double, king and superking. Returning to Simba's Hybrid Essential Mattress, one customer bought it after a weekend away, during which they slept on one. They said: "I was having sciatica problems, and I was very uncomfortable when turning over in bed and would wake up constantly in the night. "What a difference this mattress has made. It's not solved my sciatica, but I do get a comfortable night's sleep now. Would I change it? No way." A second user rated it three stars, saying: "This was meant to not allow body heat build-up. The theory and performance was unsound and wanting. My wife found it uncomfortable whilst I was happy with the level of support." Another user simply said: "Excellent product. Good delivery." Shoppers can also find deals on a selection of pillows, one such offer is on the Simba Stratos Pillow. It has firm support and cooling properties thanks to its 'cool-touch tech' Simba Renew Bio fibres. Originally £60 per pillow, shoppers can now buy one for £48. Another Simba pillow offer is on this Hybrid option, which was £109 per pillow, now £87. It's designed for sleepers who love to flip their pillow over to the cooler side. Its quilted cover provides instant freshness and cooler comfort. Elsewhere on the high street, Argos offers a large selection of memory foam and orthopaedic pillows. For instance, this pack of two Silentnight memory foam pillows are £25, and has medium firmness. Consumers new to Simba can find general reviews of the brand's quality, delivery and customer service on Trustpilot, where there are more than 55,000 comments and ratings. One person said: "Good sale and deals on refurbished products. Super comfy mattress. Easy to put together bed and great quality." Another customer reported delivery complications, explaining: "Delivery on Monday was announced on Sunday. Nobody was available at the supplier or the forwarder to rearrange delivery. Much time wasted on Sunday and Monday." An additional Trustpilot reviewer added: "Buying a Simba mattress online was easy. Delivery was quick and the mattress is absolutely amazing. Very happy overall." Simba also has reductions on toppers, the Hybrid Mattress Topper was £299-£499, and is now £254-£424. It comes in single, small double, double, king and superking.

Best mattress deals in the Amazon Prime Day 2025 sale, according to an editor
It's official, Amazon Prime Day 2025 has landed. So if you need to upgrade your worn-out mattress, now's your chance to do it for less because I've found the best mattress deals in the summer sale event. I've covered the sales event for nearly a decade, and while the shopping bonanza delivers a huge range of bargains on everything from beauty and air fryers to Apple products and laptops, mattresses are where you'll find some of the best deals going. As The Independent 's resident sleep expert, I've been busy tracking mattress prices ahead of Amazon Prime Day to make sure every deal here is a genuine one and, better still, many of the models on offer are ones I've personally tried and tested. So, having assessed everything from comfort and support to breathability and how well it stands up to real-life use (read: pets, children and the occasional tea-spillage), you can rest assured that these mattresses are worth your money. This year, deals are dropping from top-rated and IndyBest-approved brands like Nectar and Silentnight, with some of my favourite mattresses plummeting to the lowest prices I've ever seen. So, what are you waiting for? Your best night's sleep could be just one click away. Why you can trust IndyBest to find the best mattress deals this Amazon Prime Day The IndyBest team of shopping experts and I have been covering Amazon Prime Day for many years. We track the price of mattresses year-round and know how to spot a good deal from a bad one. Plus, we only recommend discounts on products we've either tested or that are made by brands we trust. In terms of mattresses, I've been researching the best mattress brands and testing a whole host of different options in my guide to the best, so I'm personally recommending the ones that I think are actually worth your money. Best Amazon Prime Day mattress deals: One of my favourite budget mattresses is currently reduced by more than 25 per cent in the double size, thanks to Amazon. While the mattress didn't quite qualify for my most recent review of the best mattresses, I have in the past tested it and was impressed with its breathability and support, so it's still one to consider, especially now that it's on sale. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the octasmart mattress, with the firm and supportive design not compromising on any comfort. If you're after a king-size mattress, this is one of the best deals right now. I've reviewed plenty of Nectar models over the years, from the premier to the hybrid mattress. This model is made from memory foam and has a quilted cooling cover that's perfect for the ongoing heatwave. The brand claims that it moulds to the contours of your body for a supportive night's sleep, and our tester agreed. Katie found that the mattress is 'both comfy and supportive, and it is exceptional at ensuring you don't disturb your partner.' You can save nearly £100 on the essential hybrid model. Boasting a medium-firm design that's great for those who sleep on their back or side and a quilted cooling cover, the mattress is made from both springs and memory foam. The latter works to isolate your movement during the night and provide support. This hybrid mattress earned a spot in my review of the best mattresses for 2025. In the guide, I said: 'It challenges the brands at the top end of the market at a much lower price.' Despite being lightweight, comfort is not compromised. 'The mattress combines memory foam and reinforced edge pocket springs to provide incredible support while feeling soft and comfy.' Best of all, it's an absolute steal at full price – but it's now even cheaper for Amazon Prime Day. While it's not one we've tested, the brand comes IndyBest-approved (we're big fans of its duvets and cooling pillows) and we have trialled a similar model, which was awarded an impressive 4.5 stars out of five – so you can rest assured that you're in safe hands. The brand states is particularly suitable for those needing extra support, as well as front or back sleepers. If you've had your eye on a new mattress for your little one, now could be the time to invest. This exact model was chosen as the best mattress for children in our round-up, so you know you're making a savvy purchase, and there's currently 30 per cent off. Our tester said the mattress had been designed with 'thoughtful construction' and praised the combination of a cushioned top layer and pocket springs for providing 'ample support for growing bodies'. 'It's pretty hard to go wrong with the Stompa S flex airflow pocket sprung mattress – it's durable, comfortable, supportive and specifically designed for kids,' they said. Another entry from Silentnight, there's almost 30 per cent off this king-size mattress. We've seen it drop even more in price, so we'll be keeping a close eye on further discounts when Prime Day arrives. The brand states that this model is extra firm and offers prime spinal support for those who suffer from aches and pains. Plus, it's finished with a thick layer of soft, supportive fillings for extra comfort. It's hypoallergenic too, which keeps the mattress naturally dust mite free. Again, the team or I haven't tested this exact model, but Silentnight is a trusted sleep brand that I'm sure won't disappoint. If the heatwave is disrupting your sleep, a cooling mattress topper could help make your nights more comfortable. This Slumberdown topper was named our best mattress topper for hot sleepers, with our reviewer praising its cooling abilities. They found that, 'On particularly humid nights, it efficiently wicked away moisture, ensuring we remained dry and fresh'. You can usually find this mattress topper reduced on Amazon, so you won't need to rush to add it to your basket. We'll let you know if the price drops when Prime Day lands. This mattress topper has been around for a couple of years and often drops in price on Amazon. Our reviewer, Zoe, found that it added 'an extra level of cosiness and comfort' to her bed, and she 'never overheated' thanks to its mesh material. If this sounds like the right topper for you, we'll make sure to tell you if Amazon slashes the price even further when the Prime Day sale starts next week. When is Amazon Prime Day 2025? Amazon has confirmed that its next Prime Day event will take place from Tuesday 8 July to Friday 11 July. The two-day sales event has been extended to four days, giving you even more time to shop the best deals. What is Amazon Prime Day? Amazon Prime Day is a four-day sales event held exclusively for Prime members. Discounts are offered on a range of products across various categories, and you can expect to see top brands like Apple get involved, too. While the main event takes place in July, Amazon hosts similar sales throughout the year, including Prime Big Deal Days and Spring Deal Days. Do you need to be a Prime member? In short, yes. Amazon's Prime Day discounts are only available to Prime members, so you'll need to sign up for membership if you don't have one already in order to take advantage of the sale. A Prime membership costs £8.99 a month, or £95 if you pay annually. Or, if you're between 18 to 22-years-old, you can get it for half the standard price. It comes with heaps of other perks too, including unlimited one-day delivery, access to Prime Video and the chance to shop Prime-exclusive deals. If you're not a current member, you can also sign up for a free 30-day trial, which will give you full access to all the Prime member benefits. Plus, you can cancel at any time during your trial to avoid being charged when it expires. However, it's worth noting that the free trial is only available to new customers or those who haven't been a Prime member in the last 12 months.
