The company is seeking damages of Rs 85.7 crore and has requested the appointment of a local commissioner to preserve evidence and investigate the alleged violations.
Pocket FM has claimed that Kuku FM has systematically copied its shows over the past four years, despite prior legal actions. It has highlighted alleged infringement of five audio series,
Super Yoddha
,
Insta Empire
, Amrapali, Vashikaran, and The Immortal Warrior.
Live Events
It has also accused Kuku FM of using similar show titles, episode names, and, in one instance, an identical poster for Shoorveer, allegedly designed to mislead listeners and capitalise on Pocket FM's brand reputation.
Senior advocate Amit Sibal, appearing for Pocket FM along with law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, argued that Kuku FM has engaged in 'wholesale infringement' by replicating core creative elements such as themes, characters, and story arcs.
In May 2025, Pocket FM filed a separate case in the Delhi High Court against Kuku FM for allegedly pirating its show Insta Millionaire.
Sibal told the court that in that case, which resulted in an injunction order on 30 May, Kuku FM had 'bodily lifted' the show. The copying was so blatant, he said, that episodes on Kuku FM's platform ended with the line: 'aage ki kahani jaane ke liye, log in kariye Pocket FM par' (to know the rest of the story, log in to Pocket FM).
Calling Kuku FM a 'habitual infringer,' Sibal emphasised the repeated and deliberate nature of the alleged conduct, describing it as 'systematised and extensive'.
Pocket FM is seeking a permanent injunction to restrain Kuku FM from using its content, destruction of the infringing material, and an award of damages and legal costs.
Pocket FM and Kuku FM are Indian audio streaming platforms that offer spoken-word content such as audiobooks, audio series, and podcasts in multiple Indian languages. Both target regional-language listeners across India and compete in the growing audio content market.

Not Kapoors, Khans, Chopras, Khannas, or Bachchans, it is… You won't believe who is the richest family in the Bollywood. It's not the Bachchans, Kapoors, Khannas or Chopra. When it comes to the richest Bollywood families, the Bachchan and Kapoor families are usually the first to come up. But, topping the list is a family that is associated with the music industry and has given many hit songs and global anthems. Surprisingly, the second richest Bollywood family is that of Aditya Chopra, who has an estimated net worth of Rs 8000 crore. In comparison, the Bachchan family's net worth is around Rs 4500 crores, while the Kapoor family's net worth is Rs 2000 crores, according to BollywoodShaadis. What's more, prominent families from the South Indian film industry—like the Akkineni and Mega families (Allu-Konidela)—are also included in the list. Who is the richest family in Bollywood? According to the Hurun India Rich List 2024, the richest Indians come from various industries, including Bollywood. Topping the list from the film industry is the family of Bhushan Kumar, who owns the T-Series group. His net worth is estimated to be around Rs 10,000 crore (over $1.2 billion). Yes, you read that right—the Kumar family has officially acquired the title of the richest Bollywood family, surpassing some of the biggest names in Bollywood. Who was Gulshan Kumar? Gulshan Kumar was born on 5 May 1951 in New Delhi. He was the son of a fruit juice seller in Daryaganj. Leaving studies after class ten, he helped in his family's small business and later developed a keen interest in music. Initially, he sold pirated Bollywood cassettes to meet public demand, but Kumar dreamed bigger. In 1983, he founded Super Cassettes Industries Ltd. (T-Series), which revolutionized the Indian music and film industry. What did Gulshan Kumar own? Bhushan Kumar, son of T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar, is now the head of the family and business. He is one of Bollywood's most prominent producers, having given many cinematic and musical gems. His uncle, Krishan Kumar, who is also an actor and co-owner of T-Series, helps manage the company and contributes significantly to the family's net worth. Who took over the T-series? Bhushan Kumar successfully took over the reins of T-Series after the tragic death of his father, Gulshan Kumar, and has since made a huge impact in the music and film industry by carrying forward his legacy. Bhushan Kumar is married to actress and filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar, and the couple has a son named Ruhaan. Interestingly, according to reports, Divya owns only 0.45% of the T-Series company, while Bhushan Kumar's wealth is estimated to be around Rs 414 crore. Whom did Gulshan Kumar marry? Gulshan Kumar married Sudesh Kumari in 1975, and the couple had three children – Khushali Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and Tulsi Kumar. Earlier, there were reports of a separation between the couple. However, a source close to the actress clarified that the reason Divya removed the surname 'Kumar' from her official Instagram account was due to astrological beliefs. She also added an extra 's' to her maiden name, 'Khosla'. For breaking news and live news updates, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter and Instagram. Kaun Banega Crorepati Throwback: When late actor Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks tried to help CID team answer question worth Rs 6,40,000

Kaun Banega Crorepati has been one of the longest-running reality shows in India, enjoyed by all age groups. Hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the show has seen 16 successful seasons, and now the 17th season will be launched soon. Ahead of the release of the 17th season, let's revisit the time when CID actors Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava graced the show as guests. During their presence, the CID team also sought help from their co-star and late actor Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks. When late actor Dinesh Phadnis tried to help CID team When Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman and Aditya Srivastava aka Abhijeet were sitting on the hot seat, Amitabh Bachchan asked them the 8th question worth Rs 6,40,000. The question was: According to the Indian epics, who among the following did not meet his death at the hands of another? A - Vidura B- Kumbhakarna C- Shravan Kumar D- Putana Correct Answer: Vidura As Satam and Srivastava were sceptical about the right answer, they decided to seek help from their friend and used a 'Phone a friend' lifeline and dialled Dinesh Phadnis aka Fredericks. Big B called Phadnis, but the latter assumed that Dayanand and Aditya were joking with him about being Amitabh Bachchan. The veteran actor informed Dinesh about ACP Pradyuman and Abhijeet being unable to answer the question. Dinesh had 30 seconds, and by the time Aditya explained the question, the time ended without Dinesh answering the question. Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava reached the conclusion that option A- Vidura is the correct answer. The answer was right, and so the CID team won Rs 6,40,000. The episode ended with this question. Before Aditya joined Satam on the hot seat, Dayanand Shetty was seen sitting with the veteran actor and answering questions by Amitabh Bachchan. Like the CID team, several other celebrity guests were seen on the show playing the interesting quiz with Mr Bachchan. Speaking about the upcoming season, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 is set to premiere from August 11 at 9 PM on Sony TV.

Before Saiyaara actor Ahaan Panday became a star, this actor ruled the box office; he's still a superstar after 44 years, his name is...

Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda have already broken multiple records, their big Bollywood launch directed by Mohit Suri and backed by none other than Yash Raj Films. For a pair of newcomers, they couldn't have asked for a louder debut than Saiyaara. The film raked in Rs 21 crore on day one and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within just four days of release. To date, Saira has earned Rs 109 crore, making it not just Mohit Suri's biggest opener ever but also one of 2025's most surprising box office storms. Who is Ahaan Pandey, and why is he being compared to Sanjay Dutt? Social media can't stop drawing parallels between Ahaan's look in Saira and Sanjay Dutt's iconic debut in Rocky (1981). While the eras and aesthetics are vastly different, the vibe, emotional yet stylish romantic leads on a bullet bike, has fans talking. 'Ahaan reminds me of young Sanjay in Rocky,' says one fan, while others are busy posting side-by-side comparisons of the bike sequences from both films. Is the comparison valid? Well, Rocky was made by Sanjay's father, Sunil Dutt and was considered a grand launchpad. Saiyaara carries a similar launch weight, produced by YRF and directed by an established filmmaker. Budgeted at Rs 39 crore, Saira covered its entire cost by day two. Visually, the comparisons are striking. Sanjay rocked the bell-bottoms and high-neck sweaters of the '80s; Ahaan sports the soft-boy Gen-Z aesthetic with brooding eyes and emotional vulnerability. Both styles scream 'romantic hero of the decade,' just in different languages. What's the film about, and why is everyone watching it? Saira is an emotional, musical romantic drama—very Mohit Suri. The film positions Ahaan as a soft-spoken hero dealing with heartbreak and healing. His chemistry with Anit Padda is being praised, and the songs have already found viral traction. That, combined with a stylised narrative and social media buzz, explains its supercharged success. With theatres conquered, Saira is now gearing up for its OTT release. The digital rights have already been picked up (platform details awaited), and fans are already queuing up for repeat watches online.
