Ravi Shastri Makes Major Reveal On Vaibhav Suryavanshi: 'He Has Been Offered With...'
Last Updated: Ravi Shastri has lauded 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi for managing fame well under Rahul Dravid's guidance. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has revealed that while prodigal talent Vaibhav Suryavanshi has already received quite a few lucrative endorsement deals, he is handling the fame well and with Rahul Dravid by his side, the former Indian cricketer is helping him stay grounded. After two 40+ and one 80+ score, Suryavanshi blasted his way to a 78-ball 143, a knock studded with 10 fours and 13 sixes. Suryavanshi first made headlines during the IPL 2025 mega auction, when he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore, becoming the youngest ever to be picked in the history of the IPL Auction. En route to scoring 101 off 38 deliveries, Suryavanshi smashed the second-fastest hundred in Indian Premier League history and the youngest ever to do so. Shastri, besides Michael Atherton and Dinesh Karthik, was left with no choice but to hijack the India vs England broadcast with the mention of Suryavanshi, revealing that the latter has already been approached for some lucrative endorsement deals. 'I was speaking to Kumar Sangakkara at the back of the box yesterday, and he said he's been flooded with endorsement offers already, but how he's handling it is very important. He has got a good bloke in Rahul Dravid there. He's a mentor, a coach. He is keeping him on the ground. My word, what a talent at 14," Shastri said while commentating. With this explosive innings, Suryavanshi has become the youngest Indian to score a Youth ODI hundred, breaking Sarfaraz Khan's 10-year-old record. Sarfaraz had scored a hundred at 15 years and 338 days against South Africa U19 12 years ago. Suryavanshi's knock also shattered the record for the fastest Youth ODI hundred ever. Pakistan's Kamran Ghulam held this record for his 53-ball century against England U19 in 2013.

ENG U-19 vs IND U-19: Suryavanshi heroics help India U19 clinch Youth ODI series victory against England U19
Vaibhav Suryavanshi's heroics helped the Indian Under-19 team beat England Under-19 by 55 runs in the fourth Men's Youth ODI, which took place in Worcester on Saturday. Suryavanshi's record-breaking century, Vihaan Malhotra's hundred and Naman Pushpak's three-wicket haul helped India secure an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. The 14-year-old, IPL sensation smashed the record for the fastest hundred in Men's Youth ODIs and combined with Vihaan, who also scored a three-digit score, to power India to a mammoth total of 363 for nine. Jack Home was England's only silver lining with the ball, finishing with figures of four for 63 in eight overs. Openers BJ Dawkins and Joseph Moores stitched a strong opening partnership and scored fifties each. But Pushpak put an end to the latter's innings, before trapping Ben Mayes leg before on the very next delivery. Rocky Flintoff, son of former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff, notched up a fighting hundred to keep the hosts' hopes alive. However, his efforts went in vain as India went on to pick up frequent wickets to bundle England out for 308.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Record-Breaking Hundred Hands India Unassailable Series Win
Last Updated: Vaibhav Suryavanshi's record century led India U19 to a series win vs England. The 14-year-old hit the fastest Youth ODI hundred. Star India cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi's outstanding performance continued to elevate his status, as he smashed the fastest Youth ODI hundred, leading India U19 to a series-clinching 55-run win against England. India now hold an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. Suryavanshi, who had a brilliant IPL 2025, showed his skills in the ODIs as well, scoring 143 off just 79 deliveries at an impressive strike rate of 183, including 13 boundaries and 10 sixes. India posted a total of 363/9 in 50 overs and then restricted the England colts to 308 in the 46th over. Naman Pushpak took 3/63. The day belonged to the 14-year-old Suryavanshi, who broke the record for the fastest Youth ODI hundred, held by Pakistan's Kamran Ghulam, who had reached the milestone in 53 balls against England in 2013. Until now, Raj Angad Bawa's 69-ball hundred against Uganda at the U19 World Cup three years back was the fastest hundred by an Indian in Youth ODIs. Suryavanshi achieved his 100 in just 52 deliveries, making him the youngest batter to reach his milestone in youth cricket. Suryavanshi was 14 years and 100 days old when he scored his hundred, going past Bangladesh's Najmul Hossain Shanto, who reached the three-figure mark at 14 years and 241 days. This achievement is a continuation of Suryavanshi's brilliant career, having become the youngest batter to score a hundred in the Indian Premier League, doing so in just 35 deliveries for the Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans. Suryavanshi recorded the second-fastest hundred in men's Youth Tests against Australia U19 in Chennai in 2024. He reached the hundred in just 58 deliveries, second only to former England allrounder Moeen Ali, who smacked a 56-ball hundred 20 years ago. Suryavanshi's latest feat earned high praise from Bihar Cricket Association president Rakesh Tiwari. 'This is a moment of immense pride for Bihar. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has not only brought glory to the state but has also made the entire nation proud. Achieving such a milestone at such a young age is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and mental strength," Tiwari said. He added that Suryavanshi is on his way to breaking several other records. 'This is just the beginning. Vaibhav's century is the first of many records yet to be broken. With his talent and determination, we believe he will continue to rewrite the history of cricket in the years to come," Tiwari said.
