‘Harry Potter' star Emma Watson banned from driving for 6 months after speeding offense
Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months after she was caught speeding in her Audi S3, according to British news outlets. The 35-year-old star, who played Hermione Granger in the film franchise, drove 38 mph in a 30 mph zone in Oxford, England, on July 31 last year, BBC reported. The offense was caught on a speed camera on a restricted road in the city. Watson was charged via mail and pleaded guilty on March 3 to the offense. On Wednesday, the actress was sentenced for the violation at a lower court in Wycombe. She did not attend the 5-minute hearing. In addition to the six-month driving ban, the actress will also have to pay £1,044 in fines (roughly $1,400 U.S. dollars), which she has to pay within 28 days. This is Watson's fourth driving offense in less than two years, according to the Daily Mail. She received three points on her license for this July 2024 speeding offense, in addition to nine points from driving offenses in January 2024 and October and November of 2023. Watson was driving her Audi S3 at the time of the speeding incident, which was towed away by police last year after it was illegally parked when she met up with her mom for lunch at a pub across the street, the Mirror reported. The actress has been studying for a doctorate at Oxford University. Coincidentally, in a separate hearing at the same court on July 16, another Harry Potter star was also handed the same sentence for speeding. Zoë Wanamaker, who played Madam Hooch in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was also banned from driving for six months and fined £1,044 for driving 46 mph in a 40 mph zone in August 2024 in Berkshire, England, according to the Mirror. Like Watson, the 76-year-old also had nine points on her license before the speeding offense. Wanamaker did not attend the sentencing.

The live-action Legend of Zelda movie has cast its princess and hero
Nintendo has revealed the two lead actors for its live-action The Legend of Zelda movie. Bo Bragason is playing the title character, Princess Zelda, while Benjamin Evan Ainsworth is taking on the role of Link, series creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced on X. The performers are around the right ages for their parts — Bragason was born in 2004 while Ainsworth is 16. These are by far the biggest roles to date for both actors, but they each have plenty of experience in front of cameras. Bragason has appeared in Disney+ fantasy series Renegade Nell and BBC crime drama The Jetty, as well as the very enjoyable horror movie Censor and Final Fantasy XV . As for Ainsworth, he voiced Pinocchio in Disney's 2022 live-action remake and appeared in Mike Flanagan's Netflix series The Haunting of Bly Manor . Miyamoto said he is "very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen." Sony Pictures is co-producing the film with Nintendo, while Wes Ball (the Maze Runner series) is directing it. The Legend of Zelda is on track to hit theaters on May 7, 2027. Prince Harry left out of King Charles' powerful tribute to Prince William: ‘My son'
King Charles delivered a powerful tribute to his son Prince William during a lavish state banquet at Windsor Castle on Tuesday — but the monarch's rare speech made no mention of his estranged son, Prince Harry. The king, 76, made a formal address to the Prince and Princess of Wales as he and Queen Camilla welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron. During the dinner, which was attended by more than 150 guests, King Charles stood up from his seat and read aloud a poignant speech that featured candor, laughs and a warm reference to William and Catherine's family. Charles praised his elder son's decision to establish his family home at Windsor — saying the move is doubly special given the castle's Norman origins. 'The castle in which we meet this evening was begun by my ancestor — and your sometime countryman — William, Duke of Normandy, in the year 1070,' Charles said. 'It remains the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world.' 'So it is perhaps rather appropriate that my son, the Prince of Wales, who shares that earlier William's name, has made Windsor his home with his family, like so many of our predecessors,' the king added. During his touching speech, Charles also celebrated the deep friendship between Great Britain and France. However, the speech notably didn't mention his younger son, Prince Harry, who quit royal life with his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California. It may come as no surprise that Charles chose to forgo mentioning the Duke of Sussex, given that their two camps have been locked in a bitter feud for years. The 'Spare' author, 40, recently told the BBC that he would 'love a reconciliation' with his cancer-stricken father, though he claimed the king 'won't speak' to him. 'There's no point continuing to fight anymore, life is precious,' the Invictus Games founder said, adding that he has since 'forgiven' them for their many 'disagreements.' William, for his part, made Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Great Park his family's main royal residence in 2022. He and Princess Catherine, as well as their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, primarily reside at the sprawling property, though they do still frequently visit their London home. The family previously resided at Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace, where Princess Margaret had lived with Antony Armstrong-Jones following their wedding in 1960. Adelaide Cottage, which is located on the grounds of Windsor Castle, sits close to Lambrook School in Berkshire, England, where the three Wales children currently study.
