Divers and Cheshire Search and Rescue join police efforts to find missing woman
Underwater search teams have joined the hunt for Rachel Booth, 38, from Northwich, who was reported missing in the early hours of Saturday, police said.
She was last seen by family in the Barnton area of Northwich before a more recent sighting at around 3.50am around five miles away at the Sandiway garage on the A556 road.
Police said it is believed she may have travelled to the Oakmere area of Delamere, where Cheshire Police officers, underwater search teams and Cheshire Search and Rescue are currently conducting inquiries.
A water park in Delamere, less than two miles away from the petrol station, said it was closed on Sunday due to a police investigation in the surrounding area.
Ms Booth is described as 5ft 9ins, of a slim build, with blonde hair and is believed to be wearing black leggings and a black top.
Superintendent Paul Hughes said: 'We are currently following a number of inquiries to trace Rachel and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
'As part of our investigation, our officers and partner agencies, including the Underwater Search Team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are conducting inquiries in the Oakmere and surrounding areas where it is believed Rachel travelled to, and we would like to thank local businesses for their patience and understanding while these are currently ongoing.
'Investigators are following all lines of inquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts.
'We would also like to appeal directly to Rachel to get in touch to let us know you are OK.'
The Wild Shore Delamere Park watersports centre said in a statement it is closed 'due to ongoing police investigations in the surrounding area'.
The statement added: 'This incident is unrelated to Wild Shore – however we wish to help as much as possible – so we will be closing the site until further notice.'

Criminal damage to Pembrokeshire refinery property is investigated by police
A teenage youth with a pushbike is being sought by Pembrokeshire police officers in connection with a report of criminal damage to a fence at the Valero depot in Waterston. Body found in connection with search for missing Oxfordshire man
A body has been found in connection with the search for a missing 25-year-old man in west Oxfordshire. Thames Valley Police confirmed that the force believes the body is that of Nathan from Witney, who was recently reported as missing. His surname has not been disclosed by police.
