Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Tubeless Spoke Gets Dearer; Check Price
Royal Enfield has now increased the prices of the Himalayan 450 tubeless cross-spoke wheels. The price of the cross-spoke wheel earlier stood at Rs 12,424, which is now priced at Rs 40,645. However, according to Autocar, first-time buyers can still get the Himalayan 450 cross-spoke tubeless tyres at Rs 11,000, only if they club it with the bike purchase.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 gets a 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, joined with a six-speed gearbox that is capable of delivering a peak power and torque output of 40 hp and 40 Nm, respectively.
The Himalayan 450 sits on a steel twin-spar frame, and the suspension duty is performed by the inverted Showa cartridge fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It gets 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tyres, and the braking is taken care of by a 30 mm disc at the front and a 270 mm disc at the rear. Prospective customers can get different color options for the cross-spoke wheels, which include black, black olive, and gold.
On the features list, the Himalayan 450 gets a circular 4-inch color display, which offers connectivity features. It also gets switchable ABS and riding modes. There is also a ride-by-wire system.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 measures 2245 mm in length, is 852 mm wide, and stands at a height of 1316 mm. It offers a 1510 mm wheelbase and has a seat height of 825 mm.
The prices of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has five color options available in the Indian market, including Kaza Brown, Slate Himalayan Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, Kamet White, and Hanley Black, the prices of which start from Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom), and goes up to Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bengaluru: The Karnataka high court has awarded an enhanced compensation of Rs 34,23,330 to a Kalaburagi man, Devindrappa Talwar, who suffered long-term neurological disabilities due to an accident in 2019, when he still was a teenager. This includes an additional Rs 26.5 lakh over Rs 7.6 lakh earlier granted by a Motor Accident Claims Tribunal in Kalaburagi. Talwar's injuries included a left clavicle fracture, traumatic brain injury, right-side hemiparesis, partial hearing loss, and speech difficulties. At the time of the accident, he was a student and missed his examination. The tribunal had earlier assessed his disability at 10%. Talwar appealed, seeking a more realistic assessment. Justice CM Joshi ruled that the tribunal failed to consider the extent of Talwar's neurological and cognitive disabilities. Medical reports showed he remains partially dependent in daily life and suffers from psychological impairments. The high court determined a cumulative disability of 51% and revised the functional disability to 60%, citing diminished earning capacity. They begin offering the features that no one predicted a few years back, and the most controversial yet talked-about one is Tesla's Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD). What Are Driverless EVs? First things first, let's have an overview of the autonomous driving packages. Currently, Tesla offers two major autonomous driving setups: Autopilot, which provides features like lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control, and the other one is Full Self-Driving (FSD). The latter allows the vehicle to do city street navigation by itself, automatic lane changes, traffic signal recognition, and even self-parking. It works due to a multiple-camera setup inside the vehicle and relies on ultrasonic sensors to make it work without human intervention. The above-mentioned elements are called edge cases, scenarios that AI has never encountered and struggles to interpret correctly. However, FSD tech for now is only capable of handling busy roads in the west, as it has never seen unpredictable traffic and roads like India. If in future, the top manufacturers decide to go completely out of their comfort zone, and begin the testing locally with specific driving data, things might change in the future, which seems far for now.
