ESPN draws ire of 2004 Red Sox champion for post about Bobby Jenks' death
The former Boston Red Sox first baseman ripped ESPN's wording that Jenks, who died at 44 from stomach cancer on July 4, was 'on the roster' for the 2005 World Series champion Chicago White Sox.

'ESPN should be ashamed and embarrassed for writing something like this! 'Was on the roster'? He was THE CLOSER on a championship winning team," Mientkiewicz posted to X. 'Do some research before you release something. Have some respect! RIP Bobby Jenks condolences to his family and teammates.'
Jenks closed out Chicago's Game 4 over the Houston Astros in the 2005 World Series to help lift the White Sox to their first championship in 88 years.
The former MLB pitcher died in Portugal. Jenks went public with his cancer diagnosis in February.

Wimbledon women's final live updates: Anisimova vs. Swiatek time, TV channel, odds
A recent recurring theme will continue Saturday at the All-England Club: For the eighth consecutive year, there will be a new women's single champion at Wimbledon. Two first-time Wimbledon finalists will do battle as former No. 1 Iga Świątek, a five-time Grand Slam champion, will take on American Amanda Anisimova. It will be the first time the two, who are only three months apart in age, have played each other in any WTA tournament. But Anisimova stunned No. 1 seed Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in two hours and 37 minutes for her chance to win her first major title. Świątek, the No. 8 seed, has won four French Open titles (2020, 2022, 2023, 2024) and the 2022 US Open championship but had never advanced past the quarterfinals at Wimbledon until this year.
