How Ariana Madix prepares for each ‘Love Island USA' episode
Speaking to E! News, Madix explained that her appearance on the show is the result of advance planning and on-site coordination with her style team. Fittings take place before filming begins, followed by daily adjustments in collaboration with her stylist, makeup artist, and hairstylist.
'We are constantly sending each other inspo,' Madix said. 'Then once we get here, we pull the looks together and make it all work.'
The team includes stylist Emily Men, makeup artist Krystal Dawn, and hairstylist Carl Bembridge, who reportedly traveled with about 70 pounds of hair tools and extensions to accommodate multiple styles over the course of the shoot.
Madix also credited regular workouts and hydration as part of her routine while filming. 'I'm in the gym all the time… the gym is very important,' she noted.
While the cast competes in the villa, Madix's evolving style has become part of the show's broader visual identity this season.

Ariana Madix urges Love Island USA fans to stop online abuse towards Islanders
Ariana Madix, host of Love Island USA, has urged viewers to stop sending hateful comments about Islanders on social media during the show's seventh season. Speaking on Aftersun, Madix addressed the negative online behaviour that some Islanders have faced following episodes of the Peacock reality series. She said, 'I love the passion of the audience, but sometimes it's like, 'Give them a second to resolve their argument before you just hop online and start being absolutely atrocious to these Islanders.'' Madix continued, 'It blows my mind that again I have to say not to harass them on the internet. And I don't understand why week after week we have to keep saying, 'Don't do that.'' As tensions continue in Season 7, Love Island USA has seen increased attention from viewers, especially during the Casa Amor episodes. The show previously issued a reminder to viewers to 'be kind and spread the love' rather than negativity online. Having been part of Bravo's Vanderpump Rules, Madix is familiar with the level of scrutiny reality television personalities receive from viewers, particularly on social media. Recently, Islander Cierra Ortega was removed from the villa after a resurfaced social media post showed her using a racial slur. Earlier on, Yulissa Escobar was also removed from the show for similar reasons. Following her removal, Ortega's parents asked viewers to show compassion, stating, 'No one deserves that kind of hate.' The call from Madix and the show's team comes as Love Island USA continues to experience high engagement from viewers, with the series setting a fan voting record during Season 7.

Cierra Ortega parents issue statement after Love Island USA exit over racial slur controversy
Cierra Ortega's parents have issued a public statement calling for compassion after her sudden departure from Love Island USA amid backlash over a resurfaced social media post accused of containing a racial slur. The statement was shared via Ortega's Instagram Story on Sunday evening, shortly after the show aired her exit, citing a 'personal reason.' During the July 6 episode, it was revealed that Cierra had left the villa, leaving her on-screen partner, Nic, visibly emotional and 'lost.' Her exit followed intense online criticism after an old Instagram Story resurfaced, in which she used a derogatory term while describing the effects of Botox on her facial expression. The incident sparked backlash online, prompting her family to respond. In their statement, Ortega's parents said the past week had been "one of the most painful" of their lives, acknowledging the anger surrounding the post while condemning the level of hate and threats directed at their daughter and her supporters. "No one deserves that kind of hate, no matter what mistake they've made," the post read. The family clarified that Cierra has not seen the backlash herself and has yet to respond publicly, but they believe she will address the matter 'with honesty, growth, and grace' upon her return. They asked fans and viewers for 'compassion, patience, and basic human decency,' adding that their daughter would take responsibility in her own time. Producers described her departure as due to personal reasons. As reactions continued to flood social media, Ortega's parents closed their statement by thanking those who had shown support during a difficult time.

Belle-A Walker speaks out after Cierra Ortega's exit from 'Love Island USA': "I could not be silent"
Former Love Island USA Season 7 islander Belle-A Walker has broken her silence following Cierra Ortega's exit from the villa. Posting on her Instagram story, Belle-A reflected on her position as a proud Asian American woman and voiced support for the producers' decision, stating, "I'm deeply appreciative of the Love Island USA producers for taking a stand and making it clear that racism of any kind is not tolerated." Photo: Instagram Cierra and Belle-A shared an indirect connection through Nic Vansteenberghe, who chose Cierra over Belle-A early in the season. While Belle-A was the first to be eliminated, she later revealed that Nic had given her mixed signals and was not transparent about his intentions. Despite feeling misled, Belle-A had expressed no ill will toward Cierra during the show's airing. However, after Cierra's past social media activity involving racial slurs towards Asian communities resurfaced, Belle-A said she was 'incredibly heartbroken' and hoped for a genuine apology. As more screenshots emerged, she added, 'it became clear that I could no longer support this person,' confirming she had unfollowed Cierra days prior. Belle-A used her platform to call attention to anti-Asian hate and also asked fans to refrain from spreading hate, saying, 'I do not condone bigotry or racism of any kind. But I also don't condone hate either.' Belle-A's response underscored her commitment to using her voice for positive change.
