The bargain was posted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, with the reason for the heavy discount being due to some screws being missing.

Amazon is giving away free Echo speakers worth £45 to customers this week – how to claim yours
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AMAZON subscribers could bag a pair of free Echo speakers worth £45, with even more great deals in the coming days. With the deal automatically included in your Prime membership, make sure you make the most of the unmissable offer this July. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 1 Amazon Prime customers can get their hands Credit: Getty And Prime Day is upon us which means shoppers can snap up some mega deals. This year, the event has been extended to four days, running from July 8 till July 11. This is the longest time the sales event has run for, initially launching in 2015 as a 24-hour event and later being extended to two days long. It gives shoppers more time to find the best bargains across beauty, tech and homeware sections. And punters can scoop two Echo Pop speakers for a paltry £45.98. The total price for this huge bundle of smart devices usually costs a whopping £109.97, meaning customers will snag an extra Echo Pop free of charge. The only thing you'll need to claim is a Prime account which will set you back £8.99 per month. If you don't already subscribe to Prime, don't panic, as Amazon is currently offering a month of access for free. Amazon offers students a special Prime Student membership that comes with all the same perks as regular Prime but at a serious discount – just £4.49 monthly. AMAZON PRIME SHOPPING TIPS Amazon runs two Prime Day events a year, one in July and one in October. For the first time, the shopping event spans four days – but don't expect everything to stay live that long. Amazon Prime cancels beloved drama despite show having two-season order and furious fans vow to boycott streamer The Prime Day sale is set to end on July 11, 2025, but the best bargains typically sell out in just hours (sometimes even minutes), especially on popular tech, toys, and homeware. The event can be exciting for shoppers, but it is important not to get carried away and make impulse purchases which aren't good value. The Sun previously spoke to Liz Hunter, commercial director at price comparison website Money Expert, who said shoppers should be wary of unknown brands. She said: "While searching on Amazon, you're likely to come across products from random, unrecognisable brands. "These products often undercut key players on price, but without brand reputation, you risk sacrificing quality and durability." Meanwhile, Tom Church, founder of previously said shoppers should take advantage of offers on garden tools and tech gadgets.

Echo Pop speakers now £5.55 for Amazon Prime Day if shoppers do one thing
The biggest Amazon sale of the year has launched with a bang and, for bargain hunters keen to snap up gadgets, it offers huge savings on all kinds of home and personal tech upgrades. Shoppers are already snapping up huge deals for Amazon Prime Day, which runs until 11.59pm on July 11, on everything from Apple Airpods to the ASUS Rog Ally which is now 42% off the RRP and at its lowest ever price. However, between bargain power banks and air fryers, the best discounts on electronics tend to be saved for Amazon's own devices. While this year's Prime Day has already seen significant price cuts on Kindles (39%), tablets (43%) and Ring doorbells (50%), some of the biggest deals are on Alexa devices. Alexa smart home devices have become a staple in millions of homes since the Echo's debut in time for Black Friday 2014, with Amazon claiming the tech has picked up 'tens of thousands' of skills over the years, from playing music, audiobooks and podcasts to controlling compatible smart home devices like plugs or lights, all of which can be done hands free with Alexa voice control. Alexa can set timers, check the weather, place Amazon orders, answer questions and more. While Alexa is hugely popular in British homes, there are several big-name alternatives available for UK shoppers. Google Nest devices incorporate Google Assistant, while Apple Homepods are powered by Siri and integrate well with other Apple devices. While specs vary and Apple inevitably integrates better with iPhones and iPads, both devices come in at a higher price point even before factoring in that the Google Nest requires a home hub to connect relevant device. In comparison, one of the smallest and most versatile of Amazon's smart speaker range, the Echo Pop normally costs £44.99 but has been reduced to £20.99 for the Prime Day. While the 53% discount is already hefty, savvy shoppers have found a way to get one for less than £6 - working out an 88% saving on the usual price. Bargain hunters who sign up with money saving website TopCashback can get a free £15 new member sign up bonus payable on their first purchase through a qualifying website, alongside a percentage back of every qualifying spend. For shoppers using the sign up link to buy an Echo Pop, after cashback the high-tech speaker effectively will end up costing £5.55, which works out even cheaper than Black Friday. The popular Wi-Fi and Bluetooth smart speaker comes in four different colours and has a speaker that delivers full sound ideal for smaller spaces. There are now more than 19,000 reviews of the Echo Pop on Amazon now, with an average rating of 4.7 out of five stars. 82% of all shoppers gave the gadget a 5 star review, with reviewers praising the design and sound quality of the Pop, along with the ease of setup. One shopper said: "So many uses. Super handy. Great sound quality." They added: "Looks nice and neat. Great volume for a cheaper smaller model. I haven't noticed any difference in sound quality than our more expensive Alexa. Is perfect for so many uses. Door bell, listening to the radio/ music/ audio books, we have them set up with routines so they play at certain times of day to tell the time, weather, flash news briefing and radio for the morning, then nice chilled music in the evening to unwind. Brilliant, no issues." Another added: " The device is fully functional and very easy to use. Alexa is responsive to voice commands, and the speaker quality is decent for everyday use. My main concern is that it has to be plugged in at all times to work, which limits portability. However, this does eliminate any worry about battery life. Overall, it's a great device for the price and offers good value for money." A four-star reviewer said: "I've been using the Echo Pop for a few weeks now, and it's exceeded my expectations for such a small and affordable smart speaker! It's compact, looks great in charcoal, and does a fantastic job as both a Bluetooth speaker and a smart device with Alexa built in. There are a few areas for improvement, but overall, it's a solid addition to my home setup." However, they added: "While the sound quality is good, the bass is limited due to its compact size. It's fine for casual music listening and spoken audio, but if you're a bass lover or want rich, deep sound, you might find it lacking compared to larger speakers in the Echo line. "This speaker does a great job in small or medium rooms, but it struggles a bit in larger spaces. It doesn't quite have the power to fill a big room, so it's best suited for personal or smaller spaces." The Echo Pop is not the only Alexa device discounted in the sale. The Echo Spot alarm clock is reduced to £49.99, saving 38%. Meanwhile the Echo Show 8 is 40% off and now currently £89.99.
