Heart have revealed that two 'irreplaceable' instruments have been stolen from them, just as they were due to embark on their June tour.
The band had set up at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on May 30, the day before the first show on their latest US jaunt but were 'devastated' to discover that two instruments had been taken from under their noses.
A one-of-a-kind baritone Telecaster, featuring an intricately painted headstock custom-made for Nancy Wilson, and a vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin that has been with the band for 25 years were both stolen.
'These instruments are more than just tools of our trade — they're extensions of our musical souls,' says Nancy Wilson.
'The baritone Tele was made uniquely for me, and Paul [Moak]'s mandolin has been with him for decades. We're heartbroken, and we're asking for their safe return—no questions asked. Their value to us is immeasurable.'
Such is the personal value of the distinctive instruments that a reward is being offered to anyone with relevant information. Individuals with information can contact tour manager Tony Moon via email at tonymoon@me.com.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are on the road with fellow hall of famers Cheap Trick, and Squeeze, celebrating 40 years since the release of their wildly successful self-titled album.
Wilson recently reflected on the making of 1985's Heart, telling Guitar World, that while her beloved acoustic guitar had been the cornerstone of the band's sound, she felt 'pressured' by producer Ron Nevison to ditch the acoustics if they wanted to resonate with the contemporary audience.
'[Heart] revitalized the band,' she explained in the same piece. 'It took us up to a whole other level of global success, so there's nothing I regret about what we did or where we compromised.'
The latest dates come after they were forced to cancel a 2024 tour, as Ann Wilson revealed she was undergoing cancer treatment. The singer promised they'd be back in 2025, and she has been true to her word. It makes the theft of the two instruments even more heartbreaking.
Guitar World hopes they return to the band – as Nuno Bettencourt found following the onstage theft of his prized Washburn, sometimes these stories can have a happy ending.

The White Lotus star Lisa has posted a mysterious DC tease, and now fans are convinced she's got a role in the DCU as Catwoman or Batgirl

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The White Lotus star Lisa has shared a mysterious Instagram post that seems to be referencing something DC-related, and fans are going wild with speculation. Lisa, who is one-fourth of the girl group Blackpink, is currently on tour – and, after donning some particularly superhero-esque outfits for her solo set, seemingly compared herself to Wonder Woman and Catwoman in her post, which is captioned "Keep scrolling" with an eyes emoji. Check it out below. Now, that seems innocent enough, except the official DC account commented: "We're scrolling," complete with an eyes emoji, a black heart, a bat, and a star. That's not the only account that has interacted with the post, either, with a HBO Max account and DC's official Asia account also commenting. Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean Lisa is joining the DCU. Her music video for her single "FUTW" contained a Batman reference, since a version of ACE Chemicals appears, so it's possible she's simply a fan (and she's performing this song on tour, too, so the references make sense). But, people are running with the theories anyway. One person has pointed out that Lisa has shared pictures featuring a cat phone case, potentially linking her to Catwoman. "Lisa pulling up in a car that looks straight outta Batman's garage then hits us with a 'keep scrolling' and suddenly we've got Wonder Woman, Catwoman fan edit, AND that phone case?????????" says another fan. "And then she ended with this," points out someone else, with a video clip of Lisa wearing a Labubu-inspired cape, with trousers that appear to feature a woman with cat ears and a ball of yarn. People are also speculating that Lisa could be teasing another DC character, though: Batgirl. "Batgirl? Omg what is ittt!!!" asks another person. "LISA CASSANDRA CAIN INCOMING" says someone else – Cassandra Cain was also Batgirl in DC Comics. "Welcome back Batgirl," says another person. "OMGG THE BAT EMOJI??? SOMETHING BIG IS DEFINITELY COMING LISA AS BATWOMAN??" wonders someone else (Batgirl and Batwoman are two separate heroes in the DC universe). While there are DCU Batman and Wonder Woman projects in the works, no casting has been announced for either, and all we know about Batman is that it will feature Damian Wayne's Robin. The Wonder Woman movie just secured a writer, but James Gunn told us recently that there are no new updates to share on the Batman project, which is titled The Brave and the Bold. Most likely, then, Lisa is just sharing the love for an iconic franchise. Maybe she'll be channelling another DC hero at the next tour stop? The DCU's latest project, Superman, is in theaters now. Neither have his fans, who seem to grow younger every year.' — PEOPLE 'It was among the most touchingly normal miracles I've ever experienced… 'Some of us have to get some sleep, you know,' McCartney said, after 'Let It Be.' Forever returning for another curtain call, another formal bow before the crowd, a man soaking in the energy emitted by fans like a cat in the sun.' — PITCHFORK 'Everybody in the room was having the night of our lives — but nobody was having more fun than Paul… all boyish energy and vigor… it was devastatingly powerful to hear Paul sing 'Now and Then' in the city where John wrote it, bringing it all back home. It was a moment that felt intensely private — as if we were eavesdropping on the two of them — yet massive... the whole show was a joyful explosion' — ROLLING STONE 'An icon among icons... a vision of graceful nonchalance' — USA TODAY 'As always, McCartney switched between bass, guitar and piano, and he was in strong voice, hitting essential high notes with ease… a once-in-a-lifetime moment' — VARIETY Paul and his band have performed in an unparalleled range of venues and locations worldwide: From outside the Colosseum in Rome, Moscow's Red Square, Buckingham Palace, The White House and a free show in Mexico for over 400,000 people to the last ever show at San Francisco's Candlestick Park where The Beatles played their final concert in 1966, a 2016 week in the California desert that included two headline sets at the historic Desert Trip festival and a jam-packed club gig for a few hundred lucky fans at Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace, two Glastonbury Festival headline slots, rocking the Bowery in New York City for a week of spontaneous club shows, and even one performance broadcast live into Space! The stunning alliance I hope The Young and the Restless' Cane forces to happen

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. After months of talking about The Young and the Restless' enigma known as Aristotle Dumas, viewers finally know that the mystery tycoon is none other than Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). Although his full plans have yet to be revealed, I at the very least know that Cane is the person who has been rattling the cages around Genoa City for months. Now, with the recent revelation that Holden (Nathan Owens) has been buying up property around town near Jabot and Newman Enterprises for Cane, I have to believe Cane will soon launch a plan of attack on the companies. Especially in light of the fact that he's tricked all of his guests in France that they are stuck at his Nice home due to a recent storm. Having stated all of this, I can't help but think of Cane being this viable threat to the biggest power brokers in town. Although I still don't buy that Cane can go toe-to-toe with The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), since writers are building Cane up as this worthy adversary of Victor, I'll go along with this new narrative. In the case that Cane is preparing an attack against Jabot and Newman Enterprises, in addition to his quest for Chancellor, I'm starting to believe some people should form an alliance in an effort to preserve the current status quo. Thinking along these lines, I came up with the perfect trio that would really keep me entertained. I'm talking about a partnership consisting of Victor, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Before you blast this as a preposterous idea, let's really talk about this. Look, I know Jack and Victor are in the middle of a reignited feud and neither trusts the other, but even Victor would put his beef aside with his fiercest enemy if it meant saving Chancellor for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and his firstborn, Newman Enterprises. Additionally, Jack would do anything to save his father's legacy and has proven with his infamous hotel bender that he's willing to go to great lengths to protect Nikki. Then there's the whole Phyllis component of it all. Now she has bad blood with both Victor and Jack, so neither man has a reason to trust her. However, regardless of how people may feel about her, she is a savvy tech guru and has solid experience in the business world. She actually can be an asset for whoever she works for. While Phyllis wants her next boss to be Cane at this juncture, after her conversation with Sharon (Sharon Case), it's clear Phyllis is not completely oblivious to that there may be something sinister going on with him. So I'd like for her to partner with people who may prove to have a little more stability in Genoa City. Again, there is bad blood among the trio, but if Victor and Jack could let bygones be bygones for the greater good, then all three of them could do that. With that said, Diane (Susan Walters) may not be so forgiving, so if Phyllis were to partner with Jack and Victor, she may have to do so with a position working directly for Victor or working in a freelance capacity. Lastly, Philly working with Victor and Jack could finally place her in a new era. She's been stuck in a rut ever since she faked her death, and I think this alliance could finally focus Phyllis, which I've been quietly hoping for. Phyllis has been out of control for too long. Even if this wild fantasy alliance were to happen, it likely would fall apart at some point. However, it would be an interesting storyline in the interim and I believe Phyllis would come out of it with a hefty windfall, a top-level executive job or both. Oh, and Jack and Victor would probably maintain their family businesses. New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. Episodes become available to stream on Paramount Plus the next day. Solve the daily Crossword
