Farrpoint moves into Fountainbridge
The company now has a team of 24, with four offices in Scotland, England, the US and Canada. The BCorp moved to a new base at Lochrin Square when its need for larger premises arose. This decision reflects not only business growth but also a commitment to creating the environment to support collaboration in the company. The new office fits in with the BCorp certification and also its adoption of a net zero policy.
Andrew Muir CEO of FarrPoint said: 'The move to our new office represents a milestone in FarrPoint's journey.
'As our client base and staff numbers grow, It's a space that's not only better suited to our current team but also supports our ambitions for further growth in the years ahead.'
While the business has made new appointments it is also looking for people to join the team of consultants, economists and data analysts which supports public and private sector clients.
Jean-Donan Olliero has joined FarrPoint as a Principal Consultant and Head of the Telecoms practice. Jean-Donan originally worked at FarrPoint from 2015 to 2019 before moving on to a senior role with a French telecom operator Axione during their peak investment in Scotland. His return brings a wealth of consultancy experience and deep market knowledge that will strengthen FarrPoint's influence in the telecoms sector.
FarrPoint is also pleased to welcome Kate Milne as its new Economist. Kate brings strong expertise in economic modelling, impact assessments, and strategic partnerships from her previous work at Fraser of Allander Institute. Kate also volunteers at The Women in Economics Initiative, aimed at bridging the gender gap in the field of economics, and has already been contributing to FarrPoint's ESG practices and speaking at Scotland's first BCORP festival.
FarrPoint has also hired a new Project Assistant, Christina Muir, who has moved for the role from the Scottish Highlands. With a background in research, copywriting and project management, Christina is now a big part of FarrPoint's quality and project assurance.

Andy Carroll returns to English football in sixth tier as player and investor
Andy Carroll is back in English football after two years playing in France for Amiens and Bordeaux, and it won't just be on the pitch that his influence on his new club is seen Former England forward Andy Carroll has been unveiled as a new player AND investor at sixth tier club Dagenham & Redbridge. The ex-Newcastle and Liverpool forward, 36, had been playing in the French fourth tier with fallen giants Bordeaux, but he has now swapped his French life for a return to east London, where he previously played for West Ham. Carroll won nine caps for England, scoring twice, and was infamously signed by Liverpool from Newcastle for £35million in January 2011. Things didn't work out for him at Anfield though, and he left the Reds for West Ham after 11 goals in 58 appearances. Carroll said: 'I'm really excited to get started with Dagenham. My kids thought I was signing for Chelsea — they'll be in for a shock. It's a fantastic location and close to my kids, they will be able to come and see me play. 'I really enjoyed my time in Bordeaux but it's time for me to get settled with my family. I'm hoping my kids will bring their friends to see me play. 'I didn't want to finish playing football and I'm really excited to get involved in the leadership side and be a player. I've got experience in seeing how clubs are run, of all levels. I think I can add value." Dagenham announced Carroll's arrival in a social media video, saying: "It's not every day that a club can announce a new investor, a new kit and a new star striker all in the same day, but this isn't just anyone. Andy Carroll is a Dagger!" The move comes on same day that the Daggers announced that terms have been agreed for the sale of the club to a consortium featuring 'prominent Qatari investors' who have bought 100 per cent of the club. Interim chairman Youseph Al Sharif is joined in the consortium by former Daggers captain Anwar Uddin, who said: 'I consider it an absolute privilege to return to the club after such a memorable spell as a player. I'm genuinely excited to reconnect with the fans and everyone associated with Dagenham & Redbridge, and to play a part in helping the club move firmly in the right direction.'

Crystal Palace remain angry over UEFA decision to demote them from Europa League with Steve Parish suggesting a bigger club would have been permitted to compete Steve Parish said Crystal Palace failed to see multiple UEFA notifications of a new deadline for multiclub owners to place their shares in a blind trust because they were sent to the club's general email address. Eagles chairman Parish said the memo was not sent to any individuals at the club and he has never received a single direct message from the governing body in 15 years at Selhurst Park. And Parish, in a long and passionate interview outlining the club's stance after being kicked out of the Europa League, believes UEFA "probably would have found a way" to accommodate a bigger club that had faced the same predicament. But while the Palace boss appeared to blame UEFA for their poor communication - he instead indicated the club simply failed to see notifications in January. That is despite them being sent to the only email address Palace list in the Premier League handbook that is circulated to stakeholders at the start of every season. "I do think we're not in UEFA's orbit, there isn't a group that represents clubs like us at UEFA,' Parish told Sky Sports. 'In 15 years I've never had an email from UEFA, not one. They sent a notification that this rule change was coming to info@ Nobody saw it so they kept sending it again and again and again. This was in January. 'Notwithstanding the fact that even if I'd received it, what could I have done? I couldn't make somebody do it. They passed this rule so there was nothing we could do. 'They passed the rule to solve a problem that was caused by other clubs in other seasons and we've just got inadvertently caught up in it. 'Maybe they are getting pressure from other clubs, we've been led to believe. I don't know, that's what we've been told, and for some reason they can't seem to find a way out of it and I think it's just dreadful for football.' UEFA confirmed on Friday that Palace would be demoted to the Conference League because John Textor owns a 43 per cent stake in the Eagles and is the majority owner of French club Lyon, who have also qualified for the Europa League. The FA Cup winners argued that Textor has no 'direct influence' on the club's operations but he did miss the March 1 blind trust deadline imposed by UEFA.
