UniCredit Starts Reducing Stake in Generali, Repubblica Reports
UniCredit SpA has started reducing its stake in Assicurazioni Generali SpA in recent days as part of the Italian bank's plan to exit the insurer over time, Repubblica newspaper reported. Vanguard Properties, an early investor in Portugal's real estate boom almost a decade ago, is making the most of a tourism surge to cash in on some properties. The company is planning to sell four hotels and branded residences under development in the summer resort of Comporta, favored by international celebrities and European royalty for its exclusivity and pristine sandy beaches. Vanguard is aiming for a valuation in the 'hundreds of millions of euros,' said Jose Cardoso Botelho, chief executive officer of the Lisbon-based real estate developer.

Mexico to Spin Off Trusts of Intervened Banks CIBanco, Intercam
The Mexican Finance Ministry said it will spin off the trust businesses of two of the banks that it has intervened following US accusations that they are allegedly laundering proceeds from illicit drug trafficking. CIBanco and Intercam Banco 's trust businesses will be temporarily transferred to local development banking units, as a measure to allow the trusts to keep operating, the ministry said in a statement.
