Ed Sheeran says he classes his culture as Irish
"I don't overthink it but I do feel like my culture is something that I'm really proud of and grew up with and want to express," he added."And I feel like just because I was born in Britain doesn't necessarily mean that I have to just be (British), there's loads of people I know that are half this or quarter this."He added: "I don't think there's any rules to it. It should be how you feel and how you were raised and what you lean into."Asked if he gets "a lot of love" in Ireland, he said: "I'd say it's basically my second home, musically. I'd say Ireland is the place that I am most successful musically."

Sheeran is married to Cherry Seaborn and the couple have two children. He also spoke to Theroux about the difficulties of fame and having to have security for his family.He said that for him personally, "it's kind of the part of the normal of being in the public eye" but that is was different when it came to his wife and children."I'm very, very private about my children's image... I can't take them to zoos or parks or anything really without someone trying to film them."There are times where the normal parts of life I kind of mourn for and wish I could push my kind on a swing in a public park and it not be weird, you know?"He said: "People go, well that's the trade-off. But my kids have not signed up to that."He added it was sometimes tricky when he was flying as he usually travels on commercial flights due to environmental concerns."We're flying back on Ryanair from a gig in Italy last year but all of my fans who'd been at the gig were flying back!"I like the environment, I like trees. I'd find it hard to justify. No one's perfect. When we're doing intense promo trips, there will be the odd time [taking a private jet]", he told Theroux.
Speaking about his music, Sheeran said: "The two joys of my life professionally are writing songs and performing. I hate releasing music. I find the whole process quite stressful."You love the songs so much and then suddenly you're putting them out there, and that might change your relationship with them if other people don't like them. And I'm trying my hardest not to let that happen."He also mused on his relationship with success."I kind of feel I had my peak with [the album] Divide and I'm kind of coasting now. I don't know if I'll ever get back up there again but [when I had] that level of fame, that was my unhappiest [time]."I'm much happier with the balance I've got now."After releasing two acoustic albums in 2023, Sheeran's upcoming pop album, Play, his eighth studio album, will be released in September.

Behind the success of celebrities, there often lies a fascinating story about their journey to fame. Nicky Weller, the sister of Paul Weller - who founded two of Britain's most successful bands, The Jam and The Style Council - has spoken to Secret Surrey about some of her fondest memories of her brother during their formative years in described her brother as an "amazing person" because he "truly embraced the Mod attitude of always looked forward and never looking back"."On one hand he is my brother but on the other hand, you say 'oh there's that miserable little toad on stage!'" she joked. Not only does Ms Weller have two garages and a spare room full of her brother's pop memorabilia, but she said she came up with the name of The Jam. The band was formed in 1972 and was inspired by the Mod music movement. Due to this, Paul is known as the "Modfather" as he was instrumental in the Mod revival movement in the '70s and ' Weller said her brother had shown a keen interest in music from an early age."We lived in a council house in Stanley Road, Woking, and we had a happy childhood," she told Radio Surrey. "My mum was always singing around the house to the latest songs and I think that's where it all stemmed from."He was fanatical about the Beatles. He kept all his albums in his drawers rather than his clothes!"Ms Weller, who managed the fan clubs of The Jam and The Style Council, said there were signs which foretold her brother's future said Paul enjoyed shopping at Petticoat Lane to get the "particular clothes he wanted". "He was a sharp dresser. He had an attitude and a look about him," Ms Weller said."His friends in Woking said the same thing and they latched onto him." Ms Weller has curated major exhibitions which focused on The Jam and The Style Council, including "About the Young Idea" at Somerset House and "This Is The Modern World" in Brighton, which reflected on his and her parents have kept old photos and items which belonged to Paul during his school Weller said Paul already had visions of what his band would look like while he was at school. "He was a good cartoonist. He drew a picture of his band and the band members were coloured with matching suits like The Beatles." 'Paul knew he would be famous' Ms Weller said one of her favourite items of memorabilia was a five-page cartoon he drew called Paul The Mod. "It's about him going out on his scooter to meet his friends. They went to Brighton and had fights and the police arrested them," she said."In every page of his book there's a practice signature, it was like he knew he was going to be famous."The Jam eventually split in the early '80s at the height of their formed The Style Council, which was more laid back and soulful, but the band broke up in then enjoyed a successful solo career, with hits such as Sunflower and Wild Wood.

'Did you punch Matt in the ovaries for revealing [your] baby name on Two Doting Dads?' the question read. Laura was clearly caught off-guard as she replied: 'He did f***ing what?!' Later on, the business owner brought up the blunder with her husband as they lay in bed together. 'Matt I have a question for you: did you say the girl's name, the baby's name, on the podcast?' she asked him in a clip posted to her Instagram story. He looked at his partner confused as he denied the accusation. 'I think you might have,' she told him, cheekily. 'I would never, never. Never would I say that,' he said defensively as the couple both broke out into giggles. Laura told the camera: 'People always ask us, 'how do you know the limits when you're telling stories and stuff on the podcast?' and normally we're pretty good... Normally.' Matty began to pipe up as he sported a giant smile on his face, clearly telling a fib. 'Whoever is spreading this false information, shame on you, because that's not true at all,' he said. While Matty may have mentioned the little girl's name, it seems it was edited out of the podcast as it could later no longer be found. In April, Laura announced on her podcast, Life Uncut, which she co-hosts with fellow reality star Brittany Hockley, that she was expecting her third daughter in October.
