Nargis Fakhri reveals her extreme 9-day water-only fast done twice a year. She calls it effective but not recommended, crediting it for her glow and jawline.
Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri has sent shockwaves through the fitness and wellness world with her jaw-dropping revelation: she fasts for nine days straight on nothing but water—twice a year. In a candid conversation with Soha Ali Khan on Hauterrfly's YouTube channel, the Rockstar actress detailed her intense wellness ritual that left the host visibly stunned.
'I do fasting twice a year, no food at all, just water for nine days. It's very difficult," Nargis confessed. 'But once I'm done, I'm telling you, you look snatched. I mean, the jawline is out, the face is glowing. But I wouldn't recommend it."
While the transformation sounds visually dramatic, Nargis was quick to clarify that wellness isn't about extreme measures. 'Everybody wants a quick fix, but there's no quick fix. It's always a combination of things," she said, advocating a more holistic approach.
The secret to her sustained glow and fitness, she shared, lies in the basics: good sleep, proper hydration, and mindful eating. 'I sleep like eight hours a night. I also try to hydrate. Then also, my food choices. Like, I want foods that are nutritious and have vitamins and minerals in it," she added.
Nargis recently returned to the spotlight with her appearance in Housefull 5, marking a much-anticipated comeback. She first broke onto the Bollywood scene with the 2011 cult hit Rockstar, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, and soon became a familiar face with her roles in Main Tera Hero, Azhar, Housefull 3, Dishoom, and the peppy dance number Dhating Naach with Shahid Kapoor.
Though she hasn't announced her next cinematic project, fans are already buzzing about her return—not just for her on-screen presence, but for her bold take on beauty, wellness, and the no-shortcuts approach to feeling your best.

Meet producer of Akshay Kumar's Rs 300 crore box office disaster, has built and sold 45 buildings in Mumbai, owns a two-acre studio in London, he is… In the unpredictable world of Bollywood, fame is always fleeting. While one picture can turn an actor into an overnight star, continuous failures at the box office can also jeopardize careers. But sometimes it's not the star but often the people behind the camera who find themselves at the centre of controversy due to multiple box office failures. One such similar tale is of Vashu Bhagnani, who has witnessed repeated disappointment with Akshay Kumar at the box office. Even though Akshay has stayed afloat, the producer Vashu Bhagnani has reportedly hit his rock bottom after back-to-back flops made under his banner. Actor Akshay Kumar and Vashu Bhagnani have witnessed a hard run in the past with several flops to their name. Recently, Akshay Kumar's latest film, Housefull 5, did decently well, but the film had a massive star cast to share the credit for the success. Before that, Kesari Chapter 2, did moderately well, as did the action movie Sky Force. But neither of them was a hit. Before this, several of his films made under Vashu Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment failed at the box office, like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (BMCM), Mission Raniganj, and Bell Bottom. Vashu Bhagnani at the centre of controversy Pooja Entertainment hasn't delivered a major hit in decades. As per the reports, BMCM was made on a whopping budget of Rs. 300 crores; however, it only earned Rs. 100 crores. Many people who worked for BMCM have claimed that they haven't received money for their services yet. Another film, Ganapath, made under the same banner, also turned out to be a big flop, earning less than Rs. 20 crore. Some members claimed they hadn't been paid, and rumours swirled that Bhagnani was facing bankruptcy. Vashu Bhagnani in Real Estate and More In a recent YouTube interview, Vashu Bhagnani spoke about backlash and revealed the truth about his business ventures. 'I went to London in 2018, and I wondered what to do. So, I bought a building in Mayfair. Then, I made five or six movies there… I'm a developer. I don't believe in making money by investing your own money in projects. I make buildings like I make films… I'm the only person from Bollywood who has set up a studio in London. We have two floors with 60-foot high ceilings. It's a two-acre property, I have a VFX set-up there, I have vanity vans there.' He further added, 'I can't even speak English properly. When I was going to London, my daughter told me, 'What will you do there? You can't even speak English properly, and you won't understand what they're saying. I said, 'Let me try'. As soon as I landed, I set up a studio there. I made two buildings, and I made six films in five years. I used to make one building and one film, one building and one film. I've made 45 buildings in Mumbai so far, and they've all been sold. But I never sold the IP of my films. I still own my movies…' Addressing bankruptcy rumours, he said, 'I was very upset by those stories. Imagine that I was actually bankrupt and I'd sold off my building. If I had actually sold it off, it would've been to pay people back, right? What's wrong with that? I'm not a corporate employee, I'm doing business. If I suffer a loss, I will have to make up for it. But people spun this into a negative story. They said I've run away, that I don't have money for food, that I couldn't even afford flight tickets.' Despite the setbacks in film, Bhagnani is active in his business and his film IPs. His story is a reminder that in Bollywood, the truth is always more than what meets the eye.

Getting threats to take down revelation about negative campaign against Kartik Aaryan in Bollywood, says podcast host

Singer Amaal Mallik's recent appearance on a podcast made quite a few headlines, when he spoke about a 'negative PR campaign' against actor Kartik Aaryan in Bollywood. The singer-composer said that people were trying to bring down Kartik, just like how they had done with the late Sushant Singh Rajput. Now, the host of the podcast has claimed they are getting threats to take the episode down because of the revelation. Kartik Aaryan is currently enjoying the most successful phase of his career. What Amaal Mallik said In a chat with Mirchi Plus on their podcast, Amaal said that Sushant lost his life as 'this industry did something — whether to his mind, his soul, or people around him demoralised him'. He then added, "And today, you can see that people are trying the same things, directly or indirectly, with Kartik Aaryan as well. He too has come out of similar problems—dancing his way through them—but he has the support and guidance of his parents. He is also a newcomer who came in, did his part, usko bhi 100 log hatane ki firaak main hain (now a hundred people are waiting to remove him), playing power games. Big producers, big actors — all of them do it." The podcast host talks about threats The podcast episode was made live on YouTube on Thursday. On Saturday, Gaurav Thakur, the host, took to his Instagram Stories, saying that he was getting threats to take the episode down. "I've been receiving threat calls asking me to take down the Amaal Mallik podcast because of the revelations he made." He clarified in his note that the conversation was 'unscripted and completely impromptu'. He added that 'this is not a PR move by Kartik Aaryan or his team', and asserted that the podcast will not be taken down. Gaurav also thanked Amaal Mallik and Kartik Aaryan's fans for supporting him. The internet reacts After the screengrab of his note was shared on Reddit, where Kartik Aaryan fans rallied behind the actor as well as the podcast. One comment read, "They want him gone so that they can run their family business." Another added, "I mean what Amaal said, is not really a secret. Everyone knows that by now. But still some feathers got ruffled really bad here." One fan wished Kartik well, writing, "This is scary.. these movie guys are real mafias, bloody jerks 😡 you gutsy boy Kartik, May God always protect you and bless you with huge success." Kartik Aaryan's dream run Over the last three years, Kartik Aaryan has enjoyed the most successful phase of his career, with the box office success of the two Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequels and Satyaprem Ki Katha. Chandu Champion did not work at the box office, but earned him critical acclaim. The only blemish on his record since 2022 has been the disappointing returns of the action comedy Shehzada. The actor will be next seen in a musical romance opposite Sreeleela.

'It's not a place where you can have a healthy discussion,' says Abhishek Bachchan revealing why he doesn't express on social media

Abhishek Bachchan is getting a lot of appreciation for his release, 'Kaalidhar Laapata', which has begun streaming on July 4. The actor was previously seen in 'Housefull 5' and completed 25 years in Hindi cinema recently. During a chat with ETimes, Abhishek opened up on how he's reduced his social media presence. The actor has now limited his social media for just posting professional updates about his movies. When asked if it's true that he doesn't express much, he said, "Publicly, yes. I don't express much off-screen. I express on screen. Do you want to know how I feel? Go watch my movie. I don't want to know what actors are like when they're not acting. I genuinely don't. I'm not interested. I'm interested in what they're doing on screen. Don't shatter that illusion for me." Is that why he doesn't share much on social media lately? He responds, "Partially yes, and also I feel currently, sadly, and I'm the first person who used to say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen but I just feel a lot of social media is just about baiting. It's not a place where you can have a healthy discussion. When it first started you could have a healthy debate or discourse with somebody. Now it's not that. I use it more professionally now." Abhishek is currently shooting for 'King' which his father Amitabh Bachchan confirmed on social media on the first day when he started the movie. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan , Suhana Khan and reportedly, Deepika Padukone as well.
