Police tracking Kelantan drug syndicate members after RM5mil seizure
State police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat, however, said investigations into the case are still ongoing.
Yusoff also gave his assurance that the police would continue to track down the remaining members of the syndicate.
"We believe several members of the group are still operating within the state, particularly in districts bordering a neighbouring country.
"We will hunt down everyone involved, regardless of who they are.
"If they are connected to drugs, we will not spare them," he told reporters here today.
He added that efforts are underway to identify those still at large, including individuals suspected of abetting or protecting the syndicate's operations.
Last week, police crippled a major drug syndicate distributing methamphetamine pills with the seizure of more than 35.4kg of the drug worth RM5.04 million in six raids in Pasir Mas and Tumpat.

Livestock smugglers allowing pens to be used by syndicates to hide drugs
RANTAU PANJANG: Some livestock smugglers in Kelantan, particularly those living near the border with Thailand, are believed to be working with drug syndicates by allowing their pens to be used as storage sites. According to sources, many of these pens are built along the border areas, often hidden among thick bushes near the Golok river. However, the sources said such illegal activities have slowed down recently following the arrest of six people, including a woman, and the seizure of drugs worth over RM5 million in Pasir Mas. "Several cattle farmers living along the Kelantan-Thai border are suspected of conspiring with drug traffickers in these illicit activities. "Some of them built cattle pens close to their homes, while others chose remote forest areas near Golok river to avoid detection. "In addition to smuggling cattle, some of these individuals work hand-in-hand with drug syndicates by allowing narcotics to be hidden within their livestock enclosures," the sources said. It is learnt that enforcement agencies have intensified their surveillance and inspections in the border areas to prevent such criminal collaborations from continuing. Meanwhile, a survey by the New Straits Times along the border today showed that several cattle pens have been set up near the area. The pens were vacated recently but several fresh hoof prints indicating cattle had just climbed up the riverbank from the direction of the river were found near the site. Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat had recently confirmed the existence of drug syndicates whose members hid their narcotics beneath animal waste in livestock enclosures. He had said police received intelligence on the tactic several months ago and believe local traffickers may have copied the method from their counterparts across the border. Yusoff had added that police would now intensify checks on those bringing in livestock, both through legal means and smuggling.
