‘Doesn't make any sense': Community reacts after more than 30 cars vandalized in Quincy
Surveillance video shows the suspect targeting multiple cars in broad daylight in the Newbury Street area of North Quincy.
Police also found cars keyed on Hancock Street, Quincy Shore Drive and Commander Shea Boulevard.
Richie Coughlin, one of the victims of this crime spree, says Massachusetts State Police joined Quincy detectives to gather evidence in an effort to find the person responsible.
'They ended up taking fingerprints from my car because we have cameras all around here and they got a good look at him and he put his hands all over my car so they printed it,' said Coughlin. 'I've got a police report on the insurance should take care of it, but yeah it's a wicked inconvenience and the fact that so many people got hit it just doesn't make any sense.'
Cliford Dejean, a local pastor at Bethel Grace Restored Church, described the incident as 'Disturbing.'
'If something like that happened, you feel like, okay, if I'm here by myself or just with the kids, what can happen to me, so it's really disturbing.'
Dejean also shared a message for the suspect.
'If you can find peace, try to find it another way, but not to harm people or do something bad to other people who hasn't done anything to you, that's really not good.'
Police are asking people in this section of North Quincy to check their surveillance cameras for a possible suspect walking around 8 AM Saturday.

Older brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher charged with rape
The older brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher has been charged with rape. Paul Gallagher, 59, who lives in East Finchley in north London, is also accused of coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged offences are claimed to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, the Metropolitan Police said. He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday August 27. The charges against Gallagher, who is a year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam, were first reported by the Daily Telegraph. Cate Baccas from the Crown Prosecution Service said: 'We can confirm we have authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge Paul Gallagher with rape and other offences following a police investigation. 'Mr Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, London has been charged with a range of offences, including rape and sexual assault. He has also been charged with assault, controlling or coercive behaviour, making threats to kill and intentional strangulation. 'He will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 27 2025. 'The Crown Prosecution Service reminds all concerned that criminal proceedings against the defendant are now active and that he has a right to a fair trial. 'It is extremely important that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.'

K-9 Frankie, killed in the line of duty, honored with statue in Massachusetts
A statue was unveiled over the weekend honoring Frankie, the first and only Massachusetts State Police K-9 to be killed in the line of duty. The statue was dedicated outside of Massachusetts State Police general headquarters in Framingham on Sunday. Frankie was shot and killed in 2022 during a standoff at a home on Oliver Street in Fitchburg. The suspect, who police said was 38-year-old Matthew Mack, died by suicide. Police said at the time that Mack had warrants stemming from a previous shooting. Sergeant David Stucenski, Frankie's handler, was attempting to arrest Mack when he allegedly fired multiple shots toward police. Stucenski was not hurt. Frankie was rushed to Wachusett Animal Hospital in Westminster following the shooting. It was the first medical transport for a police K-9 under Nero's Law, which was passed in response to the death of K-9 Nero, whose handler, Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon, was also killed in the line of duty in 2018. Nero's Law allows EMS to treat and transport injury police dogs. Police said in a statement following the status unveiling that the death of the 9-year veteran police dog "forever changed the course of his life, his handler, family, loved ones, and colleagues on the State Police." "This memorial provides an important, dedicated space to celebrate the life of K-9 Frankie and reflect on the enormous contributions of K-9s and their handlers to the mission of the State Police," Col. Geoffrey Noble said in a statement. The statue is located near the main entrance to the building. It was created by artisans from Utah and is a life-size bronze figure of the dog atop a granite base. An anonymous donor to the State Police Association of Massachusetts' Benevolent Fund paid for the statue to be built.

Brother of Oasis Frontmen Is Charged With Rape in Britain
Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Oasis frontmen Liam and Noel Gallagher, has been charged with rape and other offenses by the police in Britain. Mr. Gallagher, 59, was reported to the police in London last year and the charges were announced on Monday. He is accused of rape, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, assault causing actual bodily harm and coercive and controlling behavior, London's Metropolitan Police Service said in a statement. The force said the offenses were reported to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, and a woman was being supported by specially-trained officers. Mr. Gallagher, who lives in the East Finchley district of London, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Aug. 27. He is not a part of the rock band Oasis, which is currently conducting a highly-anticipated international tour. The band is playing a series of dates in London, and will travel to Scotland and Ireland before starting the North American leg of the tour in late August. Mr. Gallagher coauthored a 1997 book, titled 'Brothers: From Childhood to Oasis — The Real Story,' giving his account of his childhood and family life in Manchester.
