Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now started to break records as a bowler! He becomes the youngest Indian to take a wicket in a Youth Test.

Perhaps bored of creating and breaking records with the bat, Bihar's 14-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now started to go through bowling records too. On Sunday (July 13), he became the youngest Indian to take a wicket in a Youth Test, and the third youngest overall.
Playing against England Under-19 at the Kent County Cricket Ground, Beckenham, he got rid of home skipper Hamza Shaikh. On the last ball of the 45th over, Suryavanshi, bowling left-arm spin, hurled a full-toss outside the off-stump. Shaikh tried to muscle it down the ground but miscued, holing to Henil Patel at long-off.
No Indian has picked up a wicket at a younger age than Suryavanshi's at 14 years and 107 days on the day of the moment. He breaks the record of Jharkhand's Manishi, who took 5-58 & 2-30 against South Africa in Thiruvananthapuram in 2019, when he was just over 15 years of age, too. Overall, two 13-year-old Pakistanis make the top two: Mahmood Malik and Hidayatullah Khan.

Following the early dismissals of Archie Vaughan, son of former England skipper Michael Vaughan, and Jaydn Denly, nephew of former England opener Joe Denly, Rocky found a suitable partner in captain Sheikh (84 off 134 balls). They put together a solid 154-run partnership for the third wicket as England progressed to 191 for two, but Suryavanshi's spin broke their stand.
This breakthrough opened the game for the visitors, leaving Thomas Rew (3) and Eknath Singh (0) at the crease when play ended for the day.
