There really isn't enough conversation about wedding shoes. Sure, finding 'the dress' is a monumental decision, but so is finding shoes that will look and feel good throughout the day.
When searching for wedding shoes, some practicalities should be considered. If you've always struggled with a high stiletto, now isn't the time to try a pair of vertiginous Manolo Blahniks — no matter how pretty they may be. However, if a little extra height is still necessary, as it often is with floor-length wedding gowns, then a platform heel may be your new best friend. American shoe brand Loeffler Randall executes a bridal platform elegantly with its collection of signature pleats designs and playful bows, and Christian Louboutin's satin sandals offer both height and stability. Maybe you're the kind of bride who will have several dress changes throughout the wedding event. In this case, you'll need a shoe switch-up to complement a new outfit. If you have three wedding dresses you can possibly justify a stiletto for the ceremony, kitten heel for the reception and flat for the early hours.
In 2025, there's even a case to be made for the flat wedding shoe thanks to luxury labels such as Jimmy Choo offering ballet pump versions of their classic bridal designs, as well as London-based footwear brand Dear Frances' collection of contemporary mesh pumps, complete with optional crystal embellishments — perfect for a modern bride.
Whatever look you're after, keep scrolling for the best designer wedding shoes for brides to shop in 2025.
Manolo Blahnik is the classic wedding shoe choice for good reason. The designer has been crafting elegant footwear — most notably the Hangisi pump — for more than 50 years and counts Kate Middleton, Anna Wintour, Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham as loyal customers. An elegant flat bridal option, these satin mules take inspiration from Blahnik's Lurum stilettos which also feature a pointed toe and winding crystal embellishment. £1,125, Manolo Blahnik at Net-a-Porter
If you've chosen a midi or mini hemline for your wedding dress, there's a real chance to have fun with your bridal shoes. Playfully designed from clear PU for a see-through effect, these Le Coeur slip-on mules from French luxury house Alaia are defined by the patent leather love hearts on each toe. This coveted style is also available in kitten heel and flat iterations for those who don't feel adventurous enough for the delicate, 90mm stiletto. £950, Alaia at Net-a-Porter
Roger Vivier's Marlene pumps are inspired by a style made by the French designer for the actress and singer Marlene Dietrich in the 1950s. Unsurprisingly, the timeless Italian-crafted ivory silk and elegant pointed toe still holds the same allure over 70 years later. The crystal-embellished spheres on the base of the stiletto heel are a celebratory addition perfect for your special day, too. £1,030, Roger Vivier at Net-a-Porter
A true party shoe, Jimmy Choo's satin Stevie design is covered from toe to heel with ivory and silver crystals and features a modern square toe vamp and sculptural heel. The star of the show is the jewelled ankle strap, which showcases a timeless tennis bracelet-inspired design that will glisten with your every step. £2,195, Jimmy Choo
If stilettos are off the table but your wedding dress still requires a heeled bridal shoe, Jimmy Choo's Bing mules are the perfect compromise. The slip-on silhouette is crafted from a patent leather in a wearable linen shade and features a 65mm kitten heel. The crystal strap adds an appropriate touch of sparkle too. £850, Jimmy Choo
Arguably the most iconic Manolo Blahnik pump, the Hangisi style has long had connotations with weddings and was even chosen by Mr Big to propose to Carrie in Sex and the City. While a diamond engagement ring it is not, the 144 Swarovski crystals encrusted in the buckle certainly make this shoe sparkle. Since its launch in 2008, the Hangisi has been reimagined in over 100 different fabrics and colours, although this ivory satin pair has been created with brides especially in mind, with the crystals designed to be her 'something blue'. £1,050, Manolo Blahnik at Mytheresa
Although Christian Louboutin's bridal sandals may look intimidating with their daunting five inch platform wedge heel, these wedding shoes are surprisingly wearable while offering the extra height needed when wearing a full-length gown. The sleek ankle strap offers extra support and the pop of iconic red sole adds a playful touch. £995, Christian Louboutin at Mytheresa
Finished with Prada's signature triangle emblem and architectural heel, these patent leather slingbacks are an excellent designer wedding shoe option for stylish minimalists. Pair them with silk slip silhouettes or a louche bridal suit. £890, Prada at Mytheresa
Loeffler Randall, the New York-based brand founded in 2004 by Jessie Handall, offers an impressive collection of wedding shoes in various heights, styles and silhouettes. Each showcases the brand's signature playful pleated design, organza fabric and knotted bow detail — and comes with a clever padded footbed that is invisible to the eye but much-appreciated on a wedding day. $540 (£397), Loeffler Randall
If the blue crystals on Manolo Blahnik's Hangisi pumps weren't prominent enough, Amina Muaddi's bold satin slingbacks might just be. The Jordanian-Romanian fashion designer's signature pumps always feature a fluted heel — inspired by the shape of a martini glass — as well as a jewelled brooch formed of round and baguette-cut gemstones. £950, Amina Muaddi at Harrods
An alternative to the ubiquitous leather and satin wedding shoes, Amina Muaddi also offers these slingback pumps crafted from delicate white lace. Pair them with intricately embroidered dresses or let them take the spotlight when worn with more understated, simple gowns. £880, Amina Muaddi at Harrods
Founded in 2016 by Australian-born Jane Frances, Dear Frances has become one of the quiet luxury shoe brands to watch. The label's aesthetic refrains from flashy logos and bold statements, instead offering a selective collection of timeless footwear made in a family-run factory in Lombardy, Italy. Its Balla ballet flats are a best-seller and come in white, black, red and blue as well as crystal studded iterations ideal for the modern bride. £490, Dear Frances
Picture New York-based brand Stuart Weitzman's wedding shoes at a civil ceremony — paired with an impeccably tailored bridal suit inspired by Bianca Jagger. Crafted in Spain from cream leather and decorated with a subtle appliqué of three rosebuds, this style is elegantly understated. £475, Stuart Weitzman at Net-a-Porter

Inside millionaire neighborhood tearing itself apart after American Idol exec was murdered: Illegal parties, naked women and gunfire

American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas DeLuca, were allegedly tormented by a neighbor's 'illegal' wild parties in the years leading up to their horrific murders, according to a lawsuit seen by the Daily Mail. The latest party occurred 16 days after the gruesome execution-style slayings of Kaye and DeLuca, both 70, that shocked Democrat-run Los Angeles amid rising fear and rancor over violent crime. KCAL News reported a shot was possibly fired during the most recent event directly next to the late couple's mansion in Encino, California, on Saturday evening. Now, the Daily Mail can exclusively report that their next door neighbor has been hit with a civil lawsuit over the notorious 'party house' which allegedly plagues residents in the upscale community located 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. In the filing, Ramin Kohanoff, owner of 4777 White Oak Avenue, is accused of creating a 'significant nuisance' with 'illegal parties' on the normally quiet, tree-lined, residential street - the complaint describes them as 'large unruly gatherings'. It alleges Kohanoff has been hosting 'unlawful Party House events within the past five years, regularly attracting over 100 partygoers' who are 'charged admission'. Authorities say Kaye and DeLuca were callously cut down in cold blood by alleged assailant Raymond Boodarian, 22, on July 10 during a violent home invasion when they returned home from a shopping trip. They were both shot multiple times - including in the head - with their own weapon, which investigators revealed was recovered at Boodarian's rented Reseda townhome where he lived with his mother and sister. It took four days for LAPD officers to find the victims' bodies in separate rooms inside their $4.5 million property. The Daily Mail previously reported that their deaths occurred just hours after they attended a meeting on July 9 with LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell to discuss neighborhood safety amid surging crime in the area. Neighborhoods First, a non-profit punching back against the parties, filed the 'complaint for public nuisance' with LA Superior Court on July 18 - just eight days after the shocking deaths. Sources tell the Daily Mail that partygoers have to purchase tickets to attend. According to the suit, the parties continue until after midnight and include 'loud music and noise' with illegal parking, leading to 'significant garbage including food, liquor and beer bottles and cans… left on the street and on neighbors' properties.' It alleges Kohanoff ignored a cease and desist letter sent in December 2021 which requested he limit noise to before 10pm. Another letter was sent in May 2024 two days after another party that caused 'significant impacts on the surrounding neighbors,' per the filing, which was also ignored, per the filing. Separately, court records show the 52-year-old businessman previously pled no contest to a felony stalking charge. The nuisance suit, obtained by the Daily Mail, claims that LAPD officers 'shut down' a party on June 7 and 'ordered partygoers to leave'. Despite being cited by the LAPD, the complaint says 'Defendants have disregarded such citations and demands to cease and desist. 'The egregious wrongful and illegal uses of the Property for Party House events were done with a conscious disregard for the surrounding neighbors' rights to the reasonable peaceful enjoyment of their residential properties as well as the extended residential neighborhood.' Property records show that Kohanoff purchased the six-bedroom, six-bathroom, 7,400-square-foot home for $3,495,000 in 2018. Neighborhoods First is asking the court to have the parties curtailed and is seeking unspecified costs and attorneys' fees. The suit is signed by Richard Mirisch, secretary of the California non-profit and a Hollywood producer with films including The Matrix, Gothika, Black Mass and The Flash on his list of credits. The savage murders have rattled residents of Encino where celebrities such as Machine Gun Kelly, Michael B. Jordan and Matt LeBlanc have homes. Actor Josh Duhamel also owns a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom, 8,000 -square-foot mansion a short drive from the party house which he purchased for $6 million in 2023, according to public records. The new suit was filed by lawyers who work with attorney Rob Glushon, who is also president of the Encino Property Owners Association. He told the Daily Mail that partygoers often urinate on lawns along the same street, and that up to roughly 100 homes in the immediate area are impacted by the noise and disturbance. Over the years Glushon 'discussed strategies' with Kaye for dealing with the parties. 'She was obviously upset,' Glushon recalled. 'She had it worse because she was the most directly impacted.' He previously told the Daily Mail of the murders: 'We just couldn't be more saddened and shocked at what has occurred in the neighborhood.' He honored Kaye's efforts to help promote neighborhood safety, and described her as 'someone who wasn't just complaining about things, but was trying to do something about it.' She was a 'good neighbor' who 'believed in the mantra, if you see something, say something'. Neighbor Naomi Sadoun, 69, lives on the other side of the so-called party house. She told the Daily Mail her bedroom overlooks its back yard and she can see naked women cavorting during the parties. She described Kaye and DeLuca as 'lovely people. It's terrible what has happened to them. They didn't deserve this.' Kaye with Singer La'Porsha Renae (left) and producer Randy Jackson (center) in 2017 Kaye worked as the music supervisor for singing competition American Idol for the last 15 seasons - nearly 300 episodes - per her IMDB page. Over the years, she won several Guild of Music Supervisors Awards for her work on the show. She also worked on Lip Sync Battle, Hollywood Game Night and Worn Stories, among other shows. 'We know that [Kohanoff] ignores the city LAPD citations,' Glushon told the Daily Mail. 'He's been cited at least three times and fined. He doesn't respond to our letters and he doesn't care about the neighbors.' Glushon, who lives close to the party house, declared the organization had been forced to file the lawsuits due to the gravity of the parties and because 'the city doesn't do anything'. He rebuked local law enforcement for not doing more to combat crime in the area and insisted such lawlessness 'would never be tolerated' in other cities within LA County. He argued that LA, run by Democrat mayor Karen Bass, is 'systemically dysfunctional' and said, 'Why do we have homeless on the streets when it's illegal?' Bass, Glushon said, had been 'responsive since the murders' and has directed additional police officers to be deployed in Encino, although he believes the beefed up resources are merely a stopgap. 'Right now, it's kind of hard to drive around Encino without seeing a black line, which is good,' he added, 'but we know that that's not going to last.' He previously told the Daily Mail 'a majority of people do not feel safe. Compared with other cities and populations, we have the fewest number of police officers per capita. 'We are so deficient compared to Chicago, New York and other cities.' Murder suspect Boodarian has a history of mental illness, court records show. He has been charged with two counts of murder as well as other offenses in relation to the deaths. He is currently being held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown LA and is expected to enter a plea during a scheduled court appearance on August 20. An LAPD spokesperson told the Daily Mail of Saturday's party that 'officers responded to radio calls of a loud party, as well as one call for shots fired, on the 4700 block of White Oak Avenue.' 'There was no evidence of shots fired or an assault with a deadly weapon. Officers shut down the large party and a citation was issued.' Officers were on scene atn5:45pm and left after two hours and 40 minutes. When contacted by the Daily Mail, Kohanoff said he was unaware of the lawsuit. He added that he had told an LAPD officer on Saturday that he would stop hosting the parties. 'I told them I'm not going to do it anymore,' he said, adding that 'someone else' had organized the Saturday event. He declined to comment about the murders of his neighbors other than to say 'I was in Vegas' when they occurred.

Nicolas Cage, 61, makes the rare move of wearing bright colors with PINK slides as he heads to a birthday party

Nicolas Cage was spotted getting into the party spirit as he went shopping balloons in Malibu on Friday. Kicking off the weekend, the 61-year-old actor was spotted in an eye-catching, colorful Versace outfit as he prepared to celebrate a special occasion with his family. During his outing, he had his hands full with Disney-themed decorations for a themed party. The Longlegs star — who enjoyed a rare outing with his wife Riko Shibata, 30, in mid-July after admitting Sarah Jessica Parker broke his heart in the past — shares his youngest child, his only daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage with his wife. He is also father to two adult children from separate, past relationships. He shares son Weston Coppola Cage, 34, with his ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton and son Kal-El Coppola Cage, 19, with his third wife Alice Kim. For the festivities, he wore an unusually colorful and patterned look paired with oversize sunglasses and coral pink sandals. The Oscar-winning actor accessorized with a flashy, gold watch as he seemed to be rushing home for a family gathering. His first wife was Patricia Arquette. They tied the knot in 1995 before separating nine months later and finalizing their divorce in 2001. He went on to marry Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 until 2004. After their separation, he married Alice Kim from 2004 and was with her until 2016. He later married Erika Koike in 2019, however, that was annulled four days later. He tied the knot with his fifth and current wife Riko Shibata in February 2021 in a private Las Vegas ceremony after they met during his trip to Japan. They exchanged rings with an intimate gathering with Cage's ex-wife Alice Kim in attendance. Cage and Kim, with whom he shares his son Kal-El, have remained good friends since their divorce a decade ago. Earlier this year, he and his wife, the mother of his youngest child, attended the Golden Globes and walked the red carpet together in January. They previously met through friends and he proposed to the Kyoto native, who is four years younger than his first son Weston, on Facetime when she was in Japan and he was in Las Vegas. Cage married Riko in an 'intimate' wedding at the Wynn Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas in 2021 — with the date chosen to honor the birthday of the groom's late father; pictured April 2022 in New York City Cage married Riko in an 'intimate' wedding at the Wynn Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas in 2021 — with the date chosen to honor the birthday of the groom's late father. 'It's true, and we are very happy,' he told in a statement about their marriage at the time. A state of Nevada marriage certificate obtained by showed Riko has taken Cage's name. Official documents showed that Cage and Riko applied for their wedding license on January 10 — the day of Riko's 26th birthday — and that it is her first marriage. Cage announced their engagement in an interview with his brother Marc Coppola's radio show in August of 2021. He said at the time: 'She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven't seen her for 6 months. 'We're really happy together and we're really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said "Look, I wanna marry you," and we got engaged on FaceTime,' he recalled. He also explained how he picked out a special black diamond engagement ring for his bride and shipped it to her in Japan as they were apart at the time. 'Her favorite color is black, so she wanted the black gold and the black diamond.'
