WEST HAM are furious Lucas Paqueta's spot- fixing case has been allowed to drag on into another season.
The Hammers star, 27, will begin pre-season tomorrow with the cloud of a life-changing ban hanging over his head.

An FA investigation started in AUGUST 2023.
The midfielder's hearing finally began in March this year and concluded last month.
But both the player and West Ham are still awaiting a verdict.
The case has taken an emotional toll on the Brazil international, who was reduced to tears following a yellow card against Tottenham in May.
Paqueta was charged with four counts of spot-fixing in May last year after being accused of deliberately getting booked in Prem games.
Bets across multiple bookies were traced back to Paqueta Island in Brazil where he grew up.
Paqueta denies any wrongdoing and maintains his innocence.
The FA investigation scuppered an £85million move to Manchester City in the summer of 2023.

And Paqueta's form has noticeably declined as the case rumbled on.
At the end of last season, Hammers boss Graham Potter said: 'It's taken its toll on him.'
West Ham are open to selling the former Lyon man to raise funds.
The FA declined to comment.

Hearts paid an initial five-figure transfer fee to sign Magnusson from the Iceland club Valur Reykjavik, and he is expected to become a key player under head coach Derek McInnes. He joins Norwegian right-back Christian Borchgrevink, Greek winger Alexandros Kyziridis, Portuguese forward Claudio Braga, Irish midfielder Oisin McEntee, Belgian striker Elton Kabangu, Scottish centre-back Stuart Findlay and Albanian winger Sabah Kerjota as new arrivals. 'The beginning of this year saw Tómas move to Valur, where he was part of the League Cup winning side that triumphed over Fylkir in the competition's final with a 3-2 victory. He got his first taste of European football only this month, scoring two goals in three games as Valur saw off FC Flora in the UEFA Conference League first round qualifiers, and drew 1-1 in the first leg of the next round against Kauno Zalgiris. United ended last term in 15th place, their lowest position of the Premier League era and worst since the 1973-74 campaign, when they were relegated. Defender Yoro knows United's rivals want to see them fail again, but said Ruben Amorim 's players are determined to prove they are way better than last season's woeful showing. 'When you play for Manchester United, you need to have the mindset of being the best version of yourself,' said Yoro. 'I think what we did last season was a mistake for us. "When you're Manchester United, you cannot be at this position. The fans know it, everyone knows it. I think we understand this. This season will be different for us. It will be like a revenge from last season. 'We're a big club. There are a lot of people who want us to fail and we know that. But there are also a lot of people that want us to do it, to do great things. 'We just focus on the fans, you know. We don't care about what they say outside - everyone said bull**** about us last year. 'But I understand, because we didn't do really well, but this season will be different, I hope, for us. Bill: My grandad took me to my first football match in 1957-58 when I was seven years old. We stood in the Fulwell End at Roker Park. That was the season. We were relegated for the first time.I have followed the club ever since. One of my first memories was of a miserable old man complaining that he had followed the club for 50 years and their only trophy was the FA Cup in 1973.I had a season ticket for many years but had to give it up due to my age. I remember in my last season at the Stadium of Light that I was complaining to the person in the next seat that the only trophy we had won was the FA Cup in 1973.I had become that miserable old man.
