No CM faced wrath of people like Revanth Reddy, says KTR
Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday said that no other chief minister than Revanth Reddy has faced so many abuses and insults across the villages in the history of Telugu states. Ridiculing the criticism of KCR by Revanth Reddy, Rama Rao said if he was sitting in the CM's chair it is because of the BRS chief. He made these comments while addressing a group of Congress leaders and workers from Medak who joined the BRS party at Telangana Bhavan. Stating that the Siddipet was once known for pigs and donkeys, the BRS leader said that donkeys have now left from Medak except for one or two and these two would also leave soon. Lashing out at the chief minister, Rao said, 'We have seen NT Rama Rao, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, K Rosaiah and KCR. No one faced the wrath of the people like Revanth Reddy. It is all drainage when he opens his mouth,' said KTR. He said that the chief minister promised loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh. The CM claimed waiving loans worth Rs 50,000 crore but washed off his hands by waiving just Rs 12,000 crore to Rs 13,000 crore. He assured RythuBandhu of Rs 15,000 for three crops but he gave just Rs 12,000 and wanted the farmers to celebrate and boasted that he will win 100 seats, said KTR. Taking objections to the language used by the chief minister against the leader of opposition, KTR said, 'Revanth should not forget that today he was sitting in the CM's post only because of KCR. We were in power for ten years but never talked irresponsibly. Is this IndirammaRajyam? Booking cases against people who post against the government.' Senior leader T Harish Rao said that earlier people used to say Siddipet means pigs and Medak means lots of donkeys. Now these places have been developed amazingly. There is Ramayampet Degree College, SC, ST Residential schools, KCR modernized the Ghanapuram canal. He ensured that even the last ayacut gets water. While KCR gave RythuBandhu in between cropping season, Revanth Reddy is giving in between the voting season. Lashing out at Irrigation Minister, Harish Rao said that Uttam Kumar Reddy always lies. 'Is it not a lie that you are cheating by not turning on the motors in Kalwakurthy while the gates are being lifted in Pothireddypadu and taking Krishna water? Isn't it true that lakhs of cusecs are going in Godavari? It is like the Revanth administration is sending water to Andhra and funds to Delhi,' said Harish Rao.

The company registered a growth of 20 per cent YoY in Q1FY26. Moreover, it added 10 stories during the quarter expanding Titan's combined retail network presence to 3,322 stores. The gold price volatility, as the company noted, affected consumer sentiment, resulting in a softening of demand from May to mid-June. However, the Akshaya Tritiya period saw good traction. Jewellery domestic operations grew 18 per cent YoY in the quarter. Buyer growth was flat (YoY) for both TMZ and CaratLane. Other segment such as watches clocked a strong quarter of 23 per cent YoY growth led by analog driven by both volume and value growth. Sonata led the growth charts for the quarter, followed by Titan and well supported by Fastrack and International brands, all clocking healthy double-digit growths. In the eye-care segment of Titan, the business grew at the rate of 12 per cent YoY led by performances across retail and e-commerce, by both International and House brands. Though the company had shut a net 20 domestic stores for the quarter. In the emerging business, Fragrances saw an impressive growth of 56 per cent YoY led by volume growth in SKINN and Fastrack. Meanwhile, Women's Bags grew at the rate of 61 per cent YoY and Taneira grew at the rate of 15 per cent YoY driven by value growth in Sarees. Titan's shares fell 0.50 per cent on Monday to end at Rs 3666.85 apiece. Titan is a leading jewellery and other accessories maker firm with a market cap of Rs 3.25 lakh crore. 'Fragile, Rare, Priceless': Modi Govt To Digitise India's Manuscript Heritage
In the next three years, the Narendra Modi-led government will digitise thousands of ancient Indian manuscripts. According to a government tender from National Archives of India (NAI), many of the manuscripts are 'fragile, rare, deteriorating, brittle and to be handled with great care". For the digitisation project, a sum of Rs 50 crore has already been approved. These priceless records – some written on palm leaf, birch bark, parchment, cloth, or handmade paper – span a vast linguistic spectrum, including Sanskrit, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Arabic, and Persian, as per the document accessed by News 18. Hailed as India's most ambitious civilisational archiving mission to date, the groundwork for this digital effort was laid much earlier. The culture ministry initiated the process with at least three other websites – Indian Cultures, Abhilekh Patal, and the Indian Mission for Manuscripts. For years, various government and affiliated institutions quietly collected and preserved neglected manuscripts from temple libraries, scholar households, and oral traditions. In Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Kashi, teams collaborated with traditional scholars and researchers to digitise and catalogue regional scriptural records long before it became a priority. Now, the Centre is formalising this mission. According to the official document, the digitisation project will involve several procedures including unbinding, flattening, cleaning, scanning, quality control, metadata creation, optical character recognition (OCR) for applicable languages, and long-term digital storage. Once fully digitised, the content will be integrated into existing national knowledge systems through platforms such as the National Manuscripts Repository (NAMAMI), the National Virtual Library of India (NVLI), the Digital Library of India, the Bharatavani multilingual platform, and the government's flagship portal. These platforms will allow the general public to access and read the documents. This project is aimed at digitally preserving India's ancient manuscripts and important documents. The tender also mentions that several manuscripts are in 'an extremely fragile condition, susceptible to damage due to age and lack of proper storage", and stressed on the need for non-invasive digitisation using high-resolution scanners that do not expose records to heat or harsh lighting. Experts involved in the project told News18 that this effort is more than just preservation; it is a cultural reclamation.
