UFC's Rodolfo Bellato issues statement on 'actor' accusations after appearing to flop
This past Saturday's light heavyweight bout between Bellato (12-2-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC) and Paul Craig (17-9-1 MMA, 9-9-1 UFC) was ruled a no contest after Bellato was illegally upkicked with just one second remaining in Round 1. As soon as he was struck, Bellato complained to referee Kevin MacDonald, then fell back to the canvas as he appeared knocked out. He immediately regained consciousness and tried to wrestle MacDonald, which had many people – including the ESPN broadcast team – accusing him of milking the extent of the damage.

Well aware of the criticism, Bellato released a statement on Instagram.
"I saw some things on the internet, saying I was an actor there and stuff," Bellato wrote. ".. the moment i was on the ground, i didn't expect to get kicked in the face (illegally).. it was a strong kick, when I looked at the judge to complain, my whole body began to tingle and my vision disappeared.. after that i dont remember anything
"Anyone who's known me the longest knows I would NEVER do this, I've never run from war. I hit 2x in less than 30 days, 2 trips in a row. Why would I fake something after all I been through and on top of that winning the first round?"
Craig refused to accuse Bellato of quitting and took full responsibility for throwing the illegal upkick that caused the fight-ending sequence.

From going public with their romantic relationship in 2017 to welcoming their first child together three years later, the couple has quickly achieved some pretty important milestones. Here's everything we know about their relationship history. Benoist and Wood first met on the set of her DC Comics series Supergirl, where she played the titular character, Kara Zor-El (a.k.a. Supergirl). Wood joined the cast in season 2 as Mon-El, Supergirl's love interest. Benoist and Wood were spotted vacationing together in Cancún, Mexico, on March 28, 2017. On June 10, 2018, the new couple made their red carpet debut at the 72nd Tony Awards at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. On February 10, 2019, Benoist announced their engagement via Instagram. She captioned the photo with a simple, 'yes yes yes it will always be yes♥️' The couple got married later that year, on Sept. 1, 2019. Over Labor Day Weekend, they held an intimate wedding ceremony in Ojai, California. Celebrity guests included Paul Wesley and fellow Supergirl actress Odette Annable. A source told E!, 'It was a beautiful setting for a wedding, very peaceful and quiet. The vows were brief and lasted about 15 minutes. There was lots of cheering and applause as it ended.' The source continued, 'There were lots of glowing candles and lights strung above. The food was served family style, and everyone passed the dishes back and forth. It looked like an elegant outdoor dinner party. There was a lot of laughter and happiness.' Later that month, the newly married couple attended the Saturn Awards. On Nov. 15, 2019, Benoist posted an intimate wedding photo of her and Wood embracing with the caption, 'I'm always going to remember looking at you every five minutes on this day knowing both of us were thinking 'how in the world did we get so lucky?' I still don't understand how, but you prove to me every day that I'm one of the damn luckiest out there.' She also included a Dior tag on her white gown. On March 4, 2020, Benoist announced that they were expecting their first child together, writing, 'A non-canine child is coming to our family very soon!!! 😱😆😭 @christophrwood has always been an old dad by nature but now he's going to be a real one!' Wood also posted his own announcement that leaned more on the comical side. In the photo, Benoist is shown caressing his fake pregnant belly. He wrote, 'The photo is a joke but the news is real...!!! 👶🏻🍼🤗.' Later that month on March 20, Wood announced that they were having a boy. He posted a photo of his New Balance sneaker next to a much tinier one. 'My little boy is gonna rock 990s just like his dad, and that makes the world feel a little less sad today,' he shared. On Sept. 25, 2020, Benoist shared the first photo of their baby boy, Huxley Robert Wood. In her caption, she wrote that he was born 'a few weeks ago' and that he was 'everything.' Wood shared the same photo and cheekily wrote, 'Our son was born his name is Huxley he's amazing and no it's probably none of your business xo brb see you in 18 years.' On Nov. 4, 2022, Wood made his Broadway debut as the musician Russell Hammond in Almost Famous. Benoist joined him on the red carpet and shared photos on Instagram. In her caption, she wrote that she was 'so unbelievably proud' of him. Benoist wished Wood a happy Valentine's Day with a sweet photo of them on the beach. Eddie Alvarez questions Dustin Poirier's mentality ahead of UFC 318
Eddie Alvarez doesn't like Dustin Poirier pre-committing to retirement before UFC 318. Poirier (30-9 MMA, 22-8 UFC) will compete in his final MMA bout when he challenges BMF champion Max Holloway (26-8 MMA, 22-8 UFC) in the July 19 main event at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans (ESPN+ pay-per-view). Poirier has decided to make his final walk in his home state of Louisiana, and despite already getting the best of Holloway twice, his former foe, Alvarez, has one concern. "If you are saying, 'I'm done,' right? Then you're already done," Alvarez told MMA Junkie. "There's this small little thing in your mind where you've checked out. Even if you trained really hard and you put your best camp in and all of that. This is a sport where you have to be all in mentally, physically, emotionally. I never like when guys pre-commit to being finished and then still fighting their last fight. Over time, as I watched that happen, the guy I watch, could be like 70, 80 percent of the time that guy doesn't win." That being said, Alvarez thinks "The Diamond" will get his perfect sendoff. "The style matchup, I think Dustin wins the fight, but Max is not a pushover for anyone," Alvarez said. "It's going to be a beautiful boxing match. Some of the best boxing we're going to see inside the cage."

Prinze is set to reprise his role as Bronson in the 2025 sequel. Prinze told that he wasn't surprised by Charlotte and Rocky's reaction to the movie. 'If they watched the horror movies now, they would be more scared than watching the older stuff. And they know movies are fake. Horror movies haven't worked their brains or done evil to them.' The father of two admitted he almost didn't reprise his 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' role, but when the movie's director and writer, Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, shared her thoughts with him, he 'was really overwhelmed by all this information that she brought to the table and was so impressed,' he told In addition to Prinze appearing on the big screen this month, Gellar also shared exciting news on Wednesday, July 2.
