The wait for a positive Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 update goes on. This year's Anime Expo came and went and, though the hit anime had a presence at the convention, we didn't receive word of a release date.
That's especially disappointing because, given how the Shibuya Incident went down, we'd expect plenty more action and mayhem from the Culling Games arc and its upcoming battle royale.
So, what can you expect from Jujutsu Kaisen season 3? Whether you're a newcomer or well-versed in the source material, we're here to guide you through the essentials and other confirmed news surrounding the shonen anime (AKA, one of the best anime series ever made), including confirmation of a compilation film. On top of that, we've got our very own release date speculation, a look at the very first teaser trailer, new quotes from voice actors, and a glance ahead to which manga chapters it could adapt. There's also the latest on the new anime coming in the next 12 months, including Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie trilogy and One-Punch Man season 3.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 was announced after the culmination of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, also known as the Shibuya Incident arc – which aired from July 2023 to December 2023. Given the scope of the next Culling Game story arc, expect a similarly sized season and, unfortunately, a similar wait to the gap between seasons one and two (around two years).
The first teaser appears to be early sketch work and a release window hasn't been announced, which usually doesn't bode well for any hopes of it releasing anytime soon.
Expect 2026 to be the earliest release window for Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, especially now that the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death compilation movie was released in May and, since then, we've heard nary a peep from major industry events such as Jump Festa, AnimeJapan, and Anime Expo. The latter event did include storyboards, but the absence of a teaser suggests that animation studio MAPPA still has a way to go for work to be complete.
Given that MAPPA is currently working on September's Chainsaw Man movie, spring or fall 2026 may even be more realistic. It's certainly what fans think, anyway. That means that there is plenty of time for a re-watch of the entire series. Check out our in-depth breakdown on how to watch Jujutsu Kaisen in order, if you fancy a refresher.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 will follow on from the Shibuya Incident, which saw 'Geto' and Mahito attempt to seal away Gojo for good.
Unfortunately for them, it didn't quite go to plan. As a veil envelops Shibuya, the likes of Yuji and Megumi helping turn the tide against the villains. Choso, the third Death Painting sibling, tried to seek revenge against Yuji, but stopped short of killing his foe after seeing visions of his brother – and Yuji.
The Shibuya Incident wasn't without some casualties, however: Nanami is killed by Mahito, while Nobara is seriously wounded and presumed dead.
The end of the Shibuya Arc saw 'Geto'/Kenjaku awaken several non-sorcerers (those who had ingested cursed objects or had latent abilities of their own, including a certain Tsumiki Fushiguro). That's all part of a plan to have sorcerers and non-sorcerers kill each other. Later, Gojo is exiled from Jujutsu society, with Yuji being sentenced to death – and swordsman Yuta (who you may remember from the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie) named as his executioner.
What's next? Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 is all set to adapt the Culling Game arc of the manga (chapters 159-221), but before that, there are a few briefer story arcs to cover.
Itadori's Extermination (chapters 137-143) kicked off at the tail-end of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, and its story is self-evident: it'll hinge on the death – or attempted execution, anyway – of Yuji. Then, season 3 will likely move on to the Perfect Preparation arc (chapters 144-158), which will see our band of sorcerers prepare for the Culling Game – a tournament arc-of-sorts that acts as a mega Jujutsu battle royale. Fun times ahead!
Seeing as how season 2 covered around 70 chapters and season 3 will aim for 80+, we expect some things to be cut for time so we get a 23 or 24-episode season.
As ever, expect brilliant animation alongside its plot. As Yuji voice actor Junya Enoki said at Anime Expo, "I started recording already, and I can tell you, the battle scenes are on a whole different level. I would be excited about that if I were you."
The first Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 trailer is very brief, clocking in at only 20 seconds long and serving only to announce that the Culling Game arc will be adapted.
It may not be a lot, but at least the short clip shows some of Jujutsu's key players in sketch form – including 'Geto' and Yuji. Watch it for yourself above. A new key visual was also released as part of Jump Festa 2025. It doesn't tease much, but does show Yuji and his bloodied hand.
There is no confirmation yet, though we expect Yuji (Junya Enoki) and Megumi (Yuma Uchida) to return alongside Gojo (Yuichi Nakamura).
Takahiro Sakurai will likely reprise his role as Geto/Kenjaku, while we also expect to hear more from Yuta (Megumi Ogata) and Megumi's step-brother Tsumiki (Saori Hayami)
Nobara and Nanami, given their deaths (or presumed deaths, in one case), will likely only appear in flashbacks – if at all. Keep your eyes on this page as more details come our way!
All episodes from the first two seasons of Jujutsu Kaisen are available to watch on Crunchyroll, as is the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie. A compilation movie, titled Hidden Inventory/Premature Death, brings together season 2's batch of prequel episodes and hits Japanese cinemas this May.
Crunchyroll is also packed with quality content, from anime staples like One Piece to newer additions like Blue Lock. If you need any recommendations on what to watch while we wait for Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, we have plenty of watch order guides for you to check out. I Had High Hopes For Ken Jennings On Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, But He Exceeded My Expectations When He Called Out A Lifeline Trap

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Spoiler alert! This story discusses the Season 4 premiere of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which aired on July 23. Stream the episode with a Hulu subscription if you don't want to know how the celebs did. A new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is underway on the 2025 TV schedule, and the talent in the premiere was impressive to say the least. Ken Jennings brought Matt Damon out in a quest to donate seven figures to charity, and I admitted going in that I'd be disappointed if they walked away with anything less than $1 million. However, the Jeopardy! host ended up exceeding my expectations by avoiding one specific pitfall when it comes to the 'Ask the Audience' lifeline. As Jimmy Kimmel pointed out multiple times during the episode (in reference to his infamous feud with Matt Damon), Ken Jennings did not need a partner to help him on one of the best game shows of all time, but it's certainly more fun to see the celebs have someone to talk out their answers with. However, that's where many get in trouble with the 'Ask the Audience' lifeline, and I was so relieved to hear Jennings say this upon seeing the $250,000 question: I've got a feeling. If there's any chance we're gonna go 'Audience' here, maybe we shouldn't hash it out too much, you know what I mean? Like, prejudice the audience toward one answer or another. Ken Jennings, you are one of Jeopardy!'s biggest winners for a reason. This has been a huge pet peeve of mine on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, hearing the celebrity contestants explain all the reasons why they're leaning toward one answer or another before asking the audience what they think. OF COURSE, they're going to second-guess their own knowledge and go with the celeb's logic. Matt Damon and Ken Jennings, however, kept it quiet, with the Jeopardy! GOAT deciding: Let's ask the audience, then once the votes are in, we can speak freely. Jimmy Kimmel praised their 'smart strategy' of not leading the audience in a specific direction by sharing their thoughts out loud, and it worked! The audience collectively confirmed what Ken Jennings and Matt Damon were both thinking. If they'd talked it out beforehand, there would have been no way to know if the audience members actually knew which animal engaged in 'vertical sleeping' or if they were just trusting the smarts of the celebs on stage. This very issue plagued Drew Carey and Aisha Tyler in the first half of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire's premiere. This was another pair who had the potential to go the distance, with Carey winning $500,000 in his first appearance on the show back in 2000 and Aisha Tyler competing on Celebrity Jeopardy! multiple times. Hulu: 30-Day Free TrialBoth Hulu's Ad-Supported and Ad-Free tiers give subscribers access to everything the platform has to offer, including shows like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. And new and eligible returning customers can enjoy a whole month of the service for free before paying, with plans starting from $9.99 a Deal However, they talked at length about their $32,000 question and whether Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Tina Turner or Britney Spears had more No. 1 Billboard Top 100 hits and even almost picked Spears before turning to the audience for help. I was shouting at the TV not to do it, and of course, the 'Toxic' singer got the majority of the poll responses (rather than Houston), handing the Whose Line Is It Anyway? hosts a quick exit. Jimmy Kimmel joked that he blamed the audience for leading them astray, but Drew Carey recognized their mistake, saying: I think we talked them into it. I'm so glad Ken Jennings and Matt Damon didn't follow suit. As for whether they took home the million, we'll have to wait and see. The episode ended ahead of their $500,000 attempt, so tune in when Who Wants to Be a Millionaire returns at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, July 30, on ABC. I'm just hoping that future contestants are paying attention and will follow Ken Jennings' Millionaire strategy.

Drake Reflects on Kendrick Lamar Beef Fallout on New Song 'What Did I Miss?': Listen

Drake, January 2025 (Mark Blinch/NBAE via Getty Images) Drake has released a new song called 'What Did I Miss?' On the track—co-produced by DJ Lewis, Elyas, FNZ, Gyz, London Cyr, O Lil Angel, Oz, Patron, and Tay Keith—the Toronto musician reflects on his beef with Kendrick Lamar and the people who did and did not stand by him in the feud. Listen to the song below. Drake opens 'What Did I Miss?' by reflecting on the beef and the way it affected those around him: 'Askin' me, 'How did it feel?' Can't say it didn't surprise me/Last time I looked to my right, you n****s was standing beside me/How can some people I love hang around pussies who try me?' Later, in his first verse, Drake raps, 'It's love for my brothers and death to a traitor, let's go.' In his second verse, Drake references Kendrick Lamar's massive Drake-taunting Pop Out concert, in Inglewood, California, that featured performances and appearances from former Drake collaborators, such as YG, Mustard, and Ty Dolla $ign. 'I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been dick-riding gang since 'Headlines,'' he raps. The beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar was reignited when Lamar took some subtle shots at Drake on Future and Metro Boomin's 'Like That.' Importantly, Future and Metro Boomin were both, at one point in time, prominent Drake collaborators, and their turn against the Canadian artist led to other former friends taking sides in the feud. The Weeknd, for example, appeared on Future and Metro Boomin's We Still Don't Trust You—a potential sign of where his loyalties lied—and Rick Ross shared his own diss track against Drake, 'Champagne Moments.' 'What Did I Miss?' is a rare solo single from Drake, since he shared his suite of anti-Lamar tracks in 2024. The new song is released via Drake's OVO Sound. Like all of Drake's recent solo music, it is licensed to Republic Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group (UMG). Drake is federally suing UMG for defamation, claiming that the corporation 'waged an unrelenting campaign' to promote 'Not Like Us,' Kendrick Lamar's mega-hit that Drake believes is filled with falsities. 41 years later, the movie sequel I've always wanted is looking like a comedy masterpiece

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Quick Summary One of the greatest comedies of the 1980s is finally getting a sequel, with Spinal Tap II: The End Continues hitting cinemas this September. We can now see what to expect too, with a few production stills having been released by the studio. If you're of a certain age, there are a handful of comedy movies made in the 80s that were absolute must-sees (usually on VHS). Airplane, The Blues Brothers, The Naked Gun and Spaceballs near the top of that list for sure. However, there's another that's arguably even more fondly remembered. This is Spinal Tap was released in 1984 and almost instantly became a cult hit. Directed by Rob Reiner (When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men), its mockumentary style and exemplary performances by Christopher Guest (Saturday Night Live), Michael McKean (Better Call Saul) and Harry Shearer (The Simpsons) made stars of the cast and even enabled them to go on tour as the fictional band they portrayed. Even today I laugh whenever I drive past Stonehenge, and was turned into a giddy mess when visiting Marshall's UK headquarters where I saw and touched the actual fabled amp that goes up to 11. So the fact that, 41 years later, the trio are back (along with their 12th drummer) is the stuff of dreams. And newly released images of the movie give me hope that it'll be everything I've hoped for. Image 1 of 3 Image 2 of 3 Image 3 of 3 Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will be released in cinemas on 12 September 2025 and reunites the main cast with Reiner. It once again focuses on the band as they get back together for one final concert before permanent retirement. Cue the hilarity once more. We're yet to see a full trailer (beyond a brief teaser released earlier this year), but the images show at least one extra special guest will be joining Tap on stage – Elton John. There are also some visible nods back to the original, with the crowd in one shot holding up their homemade 'Henges. I cannot wait and will certainly be watching the first film again in preparation. Thankfully, it's also been remastered in 4K HDR for a new release. So if like me you fancy a trip back in time, or you've never seen it before, you can catch the new version of This is Spinal Tap on the likes of Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV – having been released in the US this week and hopefully elsewhere soon. I guarantee a fair few laughs ahead.
