Vaddiraju unveils Ambedkar statue in Singaram
Ravichandra recalled the recent installation of Ambedkar's bronze statue in his native village, Inugurthi, and called it a great privilege to now unveil another in Singaram. 'It is a matter of pride that our leader KCR built the magnificent state secretariat and named it after Dr. Ambedkar. He even urged the central government to name the new Parliament building in Delhi after Ambedkar,' the MP stated, on the occasion.
Referring to a recent incident in Lingampet, Kamareddy district, where a Dalit BRS worker was allegedly beaten by police, Ravichandra said KTR personally visited his home and dined with the family, offering them strength and solidarity.
He predicted that BRS will return to power within three years and cautioned Congress leaders, officials, and police officers to act responsibly, as power is never permanent.

Amit Shah reveals how Pahalgam attack plotters were tracked and killed in joint Operation Mahadev after brutal tourist killings
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Lok Sabha as part of the ongoing special discussion on Operation Sindoor. He confirmed that all three terrorists linked to the April 22 Pahalgam attack were killed in a joint security operation. The session in the Lok Sabha will conclude with a speech from Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 7 pm, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to lead a 16-hour debate in the Rajya Sabha. Attackers in Pahalgam identified and neutralised Shah stated that the terrorists killed in the recent Operation Mahadev were the same individuals responsible for the Pahalgam attack. The three men — identified as Suleman, Afghan, and Jibran — were neutralised by a joint effort of the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police. 'All three terrorists — Suleman, Afghan and Jibran — were killed in yesterday's operation,' Shah said, adding, 'The individuals who were providing them with food were earlier taken into custody. Once the bodies were brought to Srinagar, the detained individuals identified them.' Speaking in the Lok Sabha during Special Discussion on India's strong, successful and decisive 'Operation Sindoor'. Security forces ordered to stop terrorists from escaping Shah informed Parliament that security forces were instructed to ensure that the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam incident could not escape the country. 'Security agencies worked meticulously to confirm the identities of the terrorists before the operation,' he said. Amit Shah in beast mode 💀 Brutality of attack and aftermath condemned Shah strongly condemned the Pahalgam attack, where innocent tourists were killed in front of their families after being asked about their religion. 'What happened in Pahalgam was brutal,' he said. 'I express condolences to the families of the victims.' He further added that the attack had wider consequences. 'In retaliation to Operation Sindoor, Pakistan fired at civilian areas. Religious sites like gurdwaras and temples were damaged, and several civilians were affected,' he said. The Parliament session continues with key discussions on national security. PM Modi is scheduled to address the House by 7 pm.

High drama in Parliament as Operation Sindoor, voter list revision spark heated Monsoon Session
The Monsoon Session of Parliament yesterday (28 July 2025) was consumed by fiery debate, and repeated disruptions, as lawmakers turned their focus to Operation Sindoor, Indias military response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha dedicated marathon hours to the governments handling of the attack, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar presenting statements outlining Indias military and diplomatic strategies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was expected to issue closing remarks, reinforcing the governments stance on national security and its response to cross-border terrorism. However, the session was repeatedly marred by opposition protests. Members of the INDIA bloc staged walkouts and noisy demonstrations, particularly targeting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar. Demanding greater transparency in the electoral process, opposition MPs held demonstrations both inside and outside Parliament. Internal tensions also spilled over within the Congress party, as senior leaders Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari were reportedly denied the opportunity to speak during debate on the operation, leading to public expressions of frustration and fueling further discord within party ranks. The atmosphere in both houses remained tense throughout the day, punctuated by several adjournments as the government pushed through a 16-hour-long sitting to address all key issues related to Operation Sindoor. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar asserted Indias active diplomatic effort to isolate Pakistan on the global stage over the Pahalgam attack, including moves at the United Nations to hold Pakistan accountable for cross-border terrorism. While ministers stressed unity across party lines during the military operation, the government made clear that the response was only paused, not ended, warning of further action in case of repeat provocations.

Kharge voices displeasure over being denied Karnataka CM post in 1999 despite efforts
VIJAYAPURA: Veteran Congress leader and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, who is also a prominent Dalit leader, has expressed displeasure that despite working hard to bring the Congress to power in 1999 in Karnataka, he was denied the post of chief minister. 'Instead of me, SM Krishna, who had become KPCC president a few months earlier, was made chief minister. All my efforts were washed away,' he said. Kharge shared his unhappiness while participating in a programme to recall the contribution of late PG Halakatti and BP Patil, at BLDE College on Sunday. Narrating how he struggled for the party and started his career as Block Congress president and then became Leader of the Opposition, Kharge said he, however, could not become chief minister. He said he continued to work for the party with sincerity and commitment, which helped him rise in the party ranks, and he is now AICC president and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha. He advised party workers to serve the party with dedication, and not run behind power. Meanwhile, sharing his opinion on Kharge expressing displeasure on not being made CM, a prominent party leader who did not wish to be identified, told TNIE the reason could be because Kharge was actively working for the party while Krishna was relatively low-key. 'Before 1999, Krishna did not participate as actively in party work as Kharge, who worked vigorously for the party's development,' he said. When Kharge was Leader of the Opposition, Krishna was made KPCC chief a few months before assembly elections in 1999. After the Congress won a majority, Krishna was made CM. 'May be the party thought Congress gained a majority during Krishna's leadership. However, Kharge's work cannot be denied or undermined,' he said.
