American Communist Groups Support Iran, Hope For Nuclear Attacks On Israel
Communist groups in the United States have been especially vocal in their support of Iran, which is consistent with their support for the nation's proxies in the Middle East, including Hezbollah and Hamas. Some leaders of Western Stalinist organizations are based in Russia, and coordinate their group's activities from there.
The following report will highlight the reactions of American Communist groups to the strikes on Iran, and their support for the Iranian regime.

One carousel of images shows four members protesting outside of the White House, including one man wearing a Hezbollah T-shirt.
The Moscow-based leader of a Communist group has been extremely vocal in his support of the Iranian regime. On June 23, he posted an A.I.-generated image of missiles being launched from Iran, writing, "I SUPPORT A NUCLEAR ARMED IRAN!"

Israel strikes Gaza as death toll surpasses 57,000
Shafaq News – Gaza Israeli airstrikes and shelling continued across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, targeting shelters, homes, and public infrastructure, amid worsening humanitarian conditions. According to the latest report from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, 70 people were confirmed killed and 332 injured in the past 24 hours. Among the casualties were 23 individuals who had gathered near aid distribution points, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking food assistance to 743, with more than 4,891 injured. The Ministry warned that many victims remain trapped under the rubble or in inaccessible areas where emergency teams cannot reach due to ongoing bombardment. عمليات نسف كبيرة ينفذها جيش الاحتلال وسط وشرق مدينة خانيونس. — المركز الفلسطيني للإعلام (@PalinfoAr) July 6, 2025 Since October 7, 2023, the overall death toll in Gaza has risen to 57,338, with at least 135,957 injured. The figures also show that since March 18, 2025, 6,780 people have been killed and nearly 24,000 wounded. The Israeli military campaign, now in its 639th day, has escalated in recent days with new air and ground operations. Footage from local media showed widespread destruction in residential neighborhoods and displacement camps. Israel rejected amendments submitted by Hamas to a Qatari-mediated ceasefire proposal, calling them unacceptable. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed Israel's participation in renewed indirect negotiations in Doha.

Hezbollah's Head: No compromise with Israel
Shafaq News – Beirut Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem on Sunday reaffirmed the group's refusal to compromise with Israel, dismissing growing international pressure for disarmament. Speaking during Ashura commemorations in Beirut, Qassem described the large public turnout as a 'strong message' to those predicting a decline in Hezbollah's support amid regional and domestic challenges. 'We defend Lebanon, and this defense will continue even if the entire world stands against us,' he said. Qassem condemned recent US efforts to dismantle Hezbollah's military infrastructure and rejected what he called 'threats of surrender,' referring to a US proposal submitted last month that seeks full disarmament of Hezbollah in exchange for Israeli withdrawal, economic support, and border demarcation. He also accused Israel of repeatedly violating the November 2024 ceasefire agreement, which was brokered by the United States and France to end weeks of intense cross-border fighting. 'Thousands of violations have occurred,' he said, referencing Israeli airstrikes, surveillance flights, and troop incursions that have left nearly 200 people dead and hundreds more injured since the ceasefire took effect. 'There is no place for surrender among us,' Qassem declared. 'Normalization is humiliation and disgrace. Our stance is firm: no negotiations until Israel fully commits to the agreement's first phase—withdrawal, an end to aggression, the release of prisoners, and reconstruction in the South.' The ceasefire, signed on November 27, 2024, followed Israel's October incursion into southern Lebanon and included commitments to halt hostilities, enforce UN Resolution 1701, and restrict armed presence south of the Litani River. While the Lebanese Army has deployed thousands of troops to the area, Israeli forces have maintained several outposts and continue to conduct operations across land, sea, and air. The US roadmap—delivered by Special Envoy Thomas Barrack in June—calls for Hezbollah's complete disarmament by the end of 2025. In return, it promises Israeli withdrawal from disputed areas, billions in reconstruction aid, and broader diplomatic and economic incentives. However, Hezbollah's leadership has rejected the plan, framing it as a strategic attempt to dismantle the group's deterrence capabilities under the guise of peace. 'Once these steps are completed, we are ready for discussions,' Qassem said, signaling a conditional openness to talks but warning that any deal that bypasses Lebanon's sovereignty or resistance will be met with defiance.

Israel rejects Hamas edits to Gaza truce proposal
Shafaq News – Middle East/Gaza On Saturday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Hamas' changes to the ceasefire plan for Gaza. Netanyahu's office confirmed that an Israeli delegation will travel to Doha on July 6 to resume negotiations. The latest Qatari proposal —backed by the United States—offers a phased ceasefire that could be extended beyond an initial 60-day period if both parties engage in good-faith negotiations. Earlier, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called on Netanyahu via X to drop the US-backed hostage deal, calling it a 'surrender framework,' and instead pursue a 'decisive victory.' — איתמר בן גביר (@itamarbengvir) July 5, 2025 Hamas delivered a ' positive ' reply to the latest ceasefire proposal after holding internal discussions and consultations with allied factions. However, the group's respond includes key demands as a permanent halt to the fighting, United Nations oversight of humanitarian aid, and an Israeli withdrawal to positions held on March 2, before the renewed offensive and occupation of northern Gaza. The Doha talks are set to begin a day before Netanyahu meets with US President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss the Gaza ceasefire and the release of Israeli captives held in the enclave. The White House has not disclosed further details about the meeting.
