Barcelona eyeing summer deal for Crystal Palace star
That's according to , citing Antena 2, who point towards Daniel Muñoz as the player in the sights of the Barcelona brass.
Defender Muñoz has for his part enjoyed a stellar campaign to date.
Capable of lining out as any of a traditional right-back, wing-back, winger or even in midfield, the Colombian has featured from the off in all but one of Crystal Palace's Premier League fixtures.
And, alongside defensive stoutness, Muñoz has chipped in in the attacking third, to the tune of two goals and three assists.
Such exploits have not gone unnoticed across the English football landscape, with both Chelsea and Manchester City understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation of the 28-year-old.
And so too, it is claimed, are the aforementioned Barcelona.
As per MD, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at full-back with a view to next season, the Blaugrana have earmarked Muñoz as a leading target.

SYDNEY (AP) — Former England captain Owen Farrell was summoned by the British and Irish Lions to replace Elliot Daly on the tour of Australia on Thursday. Daly broke his left forearm on Wednesday in the 52-12 win over the Queensland Reds in Brisbane. 'It is heartbreaking for the group that Elliot's tour is over,' Lions coach Andy Farrell said in a statement. 'He is a Lions legend who has added so much to the group on and off the field over the past few weeks and over the course of three tours. 'Owen will now come in and add to our options and bring his own Lions experience to the group.' Owen Farrell will join his fourth tour, having played 18 times for the Lions, including six tests across 2013, 2017 and 2021. However, he hasn't played an international since leading England at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, after which he took a break from test rugby. Diogo Jota was a dedicated family man who married his long-term partner less than two weeks ago. His two young sons and baby daughter, born only in November, were by his side as he celebrated Liverpool's Premier League title win in May. On June 22 he married his girlfriend Rute Cardoso in Portugal, describing it on social media as a 'day we will never forget'. Born in the Portuguese city of Porto in 1996, Jota grew up in Gondomar, and his parents Joaquim and Isabel were still paying for him to play for the local club until the age of 16. He joined Paços de Ferreira's youth setup in 2013 and three years later signed a five-year contract with Atletico Madrid. He was a key player in Wolverhampton Wanderers' promotion to the Premier League after he signed for them on a one-season loan in 2017/18. Jota then joined Wolves permanently in 2018 and impressed in the Premier League over the next two seasons, leading to Liverpool buying him in September 2020 for a fee of more than £40 million. When he joined Jurgen Klopp's league-winning squad, the number 20 became an important part of the team. Jota struggled with injuries at Liverpool, missing 99 games for club and country during his time at Anfield because of muscular problems, a knee ligament tear and calf issues. Liverpool's statement in full after forward Diogo Jota dies in car accident
Liverpool FC have released a statement paying tribute to Diogo Jota after the forward passed away in a car accident aged 28. The Portuguese international had been travelling in the Spanish province of Zamora with his brother Andre Silva, 26, also a professional footballer, when their card left the road in the early hours of Thursday and caught fire. The Spanish Guardia Civil confirmed the deaths of both men in the accident. Advertisement Tributes have flooded in from across Portugal and the footballing world. Jota played an integral role in Liverpool's attack under Jurgen Klopp and latterly Arne Slot, lifting his maiden Premier League title only months ago, as well as the FA Cup and League Cup during his five-year spell at Anfield. The Club released a statement in the aftermath of his death, reading: 'Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota. The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre. 'Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre's family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss.
