Founded in 2005 in Portland, Oregon, ON1 (formerly onOne Software) began by acquiring popular Photoshop plugins like Genuine Fractals and PhotoFrame. Over time, it transformed from a plugin developer into a full-featured editing platform, culminating in the launch of ON1 Photo RAW. The company has consistently led the way in creating software built specifically for photographers.
'We started ON1 to build tools that worked the way photographers think-not the way software forces them to think,' said Craig Keudell, ON1 founder and CEO. 'That same mission still guides us 20 years later.'
Celebrating 20 Years with a Massive Sale
To thank its community and celebrate this milestone, ON1 is offering up to 75% off its apps and plugins throughout June. Whether users are looking to start with ON1 Photo RAW 2025, expand their editing workflow with ON1 plugins, there's never been a better time to enhance your photo editing workflow with ON1.
Software Built with Photographers, Not Just for Them
At the core of ON1's success is its commitment to listening. Through the ON1 Photo RAW Project, launched in 2016, the company has implemented nearly 1,000 user-submitted ideas, transforming feedback into actual features.
'Our users are part of the development process,' said Dan Harlacher, VP of Product. 'That's why our tools feel intuitive-because they're shaped by people who shoot and edit every day.'
ON1's suite includes advanced AI tools, such as Super Select AI, NoNoise AI, and Resize AI, along with workflow-enhancing features like layers, presets, masking, and mobile-to-desktop syncing.
A Passionate Team That Puts Users First
From support to product design, ON1's culture is rooted in connection. Longtime team members, such as Jonny Davenport, a photographer and support lead, note that direct conversations with users often shape updates and improvements.
ON1's lead educator, Dylan Kotecki, has helped thousands of photographers maximize the potential of ON1's tools.
'Teaching users how to unlock their creativity and simplify their workflow-it's incredibly rewarding,' said Kotecki.
The Road Ahead
As ON1 looks to the future, its focus remains on solving real-world problems for photographers. With innovations in AI, streamlined editing workflows, and deeper mobile integration, the next 20 years are already in motion.
'Twenty years in software is rare-twenty years with this kind of loyalty is even rarer,' said Patrick Smith, Senior VP and GM. 'It's a privilege to keep building for the community that got us here.'

How to Build an Emergency Fund
NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / July 18, 2025 / Many people put aside cash reserves to prepare themselves for financial surprises. However, saving as much as half a year's worth of living expenses can be overwhelming, especially for anyone who's juggling bills, paying off debt, and saving for other goals. That's why it's important to remember that building an emergency fund takes time, and any progress toward the goal is valuable. This guide breaks the process into manageable steps to help people plan for unexpected expenses. Set a Realistic Target Most experts recommend setting aside three to six months of living expenses for emergencies. This amount helps cover essential costs after a job loss or pay unexpected bills, like a car repair or emergency room visit. Understandably, aiming for three months of living expenses can seem so discouraging that some people might quit before they get started. For those who need a bit more motivation, a mini-fund may be a better option. A mini-fund starts with a small goal - perhaps $500 or one month's living expenses. Money saved toward this goal goes directly into a savings account. Once the first savings target is met, the individual can continue building until the full emergency fund is in place. Choose a Savings Account An emergency fund should be kept in a safe, interest-bearing savings account that's easily accessible but not linked to everyday spending. The goal is to ensure funds are available without penalty in an emergency while minimizing the temptation to use them in non-urgent situations. A high-yield savings account (HYSA) can be a good option for an emergency fund because it typically pays more interest than a traditional savings account and doesn't usually penalize withdrawals. While HYSAs are often offered as online savings accounts, many traditional banks also provide them. Some people keep their emergency funds in a checking account, but this isn't ideal - even if the account pays interest. Checks and debit cards make it too easy to spend money earmarked for emergencies. Decide How Much to Save The amount of money that should go into an emergency fund depends on each individual's financial situation. One popular approach for getting a handle on that is the 50/30/20 method.1 This method helps individual's divide their monthly gross (after-tax income) into three categories: Saving 20% may not seem like much to dedicate to savings, but the key is consistent contributions. Small amounts - even $25 each month - can make a difference over time. Automate savings The final step is to automate savings to make progress easier and more consistent. Many banks offer ways to do this, including: Automating savings removes decision-making and minimizes the temptation to spend savings on non-emergencies. Small Steps, Lasing Impact Building an emergency fund is a journey, not a race. Each small step can bring people closer to creating a reliable safety net that ensures they're prepared for whatever financial surprises come their way. Khloé Kardashian Claims She's Stopped Photoshopping Pics Due to Looking Like 'a Cartoon'
Khloé Kardashian has gotten a lot of backlash over the years for her use of Photoshop and FaceTune on Instagram, but apparently she's no longer editing her pics. Speaking on her podcast, Khloé in Wonderland, Khloé responded to claims that she photoshops everything she posts, saying (via People) "I don't. But there was a time that I definitely did. There was a time that I was around some people that would make me feel like I needed to. I also think it was the era too. I felt like a lot of people were Photoshopping or heavily Photoshopping more than they do now." She added, "I do feel like there was a time that we all just got consumed in this filter lifestyle and we couldn't see ourselves without a filter. And there's definitely days that I'm like, ugh, I need a filter. Don't feel good about myself. But I'm on video. And I do like myself better in video than stills." Khloé went on to claim that "I will say there was a time that I heavily photoshopped" and added that she looked like a "cartoon character," adding " it's humiliating that I thought that was even a version of myself." "I feel bad that I thought I needed to look like that," she continued. "But I was around people who were all doing that. And if they took my photo they would make me look that way before giving it to me. And then I would think that's how I looked. And if I got paparazzied, I'd be like, 'I don't look like that. I look like this photo.' And I really had to reprogram my mind to be like, okay, we have to lay off the filters. This isn't real. That's not how I look. And I don't want to look like that. It was a strange time." The Good American cofounded added that she was "so consumed in the filter world and having my face look a way that it just wasn't, but currently now, no."
