Princess Charlene of Monaco joins husband Prince Albert and their children, Jacques and Isabella, to celebrate his 20-year reign

Daily Mail6 days ago
The Prince and Princess of Monaco were pictured beaming alongside their two children during a ceremony to mark the Head of State's 20-year reign.
Prince Albert, 67, and his wife Charlene, 47, were accompanied by their 10-year-old twins, Crown Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, as the royal family celebrated the joyous occasion at the Palace Square in the principality.
The royal couple looked to be in good spirits despite ongoing speculation about the state of their marriage, including how the glamourous mother-of-two sought solace from the French president's wife, Brigitte Macron, following whispers of marital misery.
Yesterday the glowing couple appeared to put all controversy behind them as they posed lovingly in a series of sweet snaps to commemorate the day he was bestowed power following the death of his father, Prince Rainier III in July 2005.
In one image, the Prince could be seen leaning over to plant a sweet peck on his wife's face, while in another the doting father made the same gesture towards his young daughter.
Princess Charlene looked elegant in a baby pink dress and the stylish royal teamed the look with a pair of dazzling white pointed heels, while her make-up was pared back with only a touch of eye shadow and a rose pink lip.
Meanwhile her blonde hair was delicately coiffured with a middle parting and tucked behind her ears.
Equally impressing was her mini-me Prince Jacques who was the spitting image of his mother in a sharp navy blue suit and matching tie.
He perhaps took a style note from his powerful father, who also donned a full blue suit.
The prince looked exceedingly sharp in a royal blue blazer with matching trousers, a pressed white shirt, stripy red tie and polished black leather loafers.
Princess Gabriella looked as marvellous as her mother in a white dress and matching slippers.
Her hair was styled with a thick plait and a gorgeous white flower ornament which was pinned above the right side of her forehead.
The happy family were also accompanied by members of the Princière family who joined them for a series of photos to mark the prestige occasion.
Prince Albert also addressed the people of Monégasque during a speech of thanks, of which the large crowd captured the memorable moment using camera phones.
In one image the family stood together to cut a grandiose red and white cake, which they offered to happy guests.
In another, the family of four could be seen walking around the square to greet the excited crowds.
Earlier this month, Prince Albert celebrated his 14th wedding anniversary - when he tied the knot with the then Charlene Wittstock in two lavish wedding ceremonies that cost a combined total £53million.
With a glittering 850-strong guest list that included Sir Roger Moore and Prince Edward, the religious ceremony on July 2 followed the civil nuptials a day earlier.
But even on their wedding day, the controversies that tend to follow the Monegasque Royal Family appeared.
The couple's uneasy kiss - and the fact that at one moment Charlene was in tears - perhaps betrayed the trouble that had already taken place and the further angst that was to come.
Days before the big day, rumours began to circulate that Charlene had tried to flee the country on three occasions with a one-way ticket to Johannesburg.
A Parisian news magazine reported that Charlene had been stopped at Nice airport after allegedly learning a 'distressing' revelation about her future husband's private life.
A senior Monaco detective claimed at the time: 'Charlene had her passport confiscated so that the Prince's entourage could persuade her to stay.'
The rumour mill in France went into overdrive. Charlene had, it was suggested, heard talk of an illegitimate child, allegedly conceived when she was dating Prince Albert in 2005.
But the Princess would go on to dismiss the 'hilarious' rumours. She said: 'Why would he go through all this effort to have our dearest friends come join us, for us to be reluctant?'
And they spent the first night of their honeymoon in South Africa - the nation that Zimbabwe-born Charlene represented at the Olympics during her swimming career - in separate hotels.
Prince Albert has also fathered several love children - two of which the prince has acknowledged.
Meanwhile, Princess Charlene has been known to disappear from the public eye on multiple occasions, reportedly due to 'deep fatigue'.
The princess took a prolonged medical hiatus in South Africa which saw her spend most of 2021 away from her husband and children.
This meant she missed the seventh birthdays of her twins - Jacques and Gabriella - and her tenth wedding anniversary.
Charlene also travelled to a Swiss clinic that allegedly specialises in mental health and addiction issues.
In May, the royals joined other Catholic monarchs including the King and Queen of Spain and Belgium for an audience with Pope Leo XIV.
Princess Charlene along with Queen Letizia of Spain and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are allowed to wear white in front of the Pope because of their faith.
They are each one of only seven women in the world who have 'the privilege of the white'.
Called 'le privilege du blanc' in French or 'il privilegio del bianco' in Italian, the special tradition is extended solely to designated Catholic queens and princesses and is reserved for important events at the Vatican, such as private audiences, canonisations, beatifications, and special masses.
Normal protocol for papal audiences requires that ladies wear a long black dress with a high collar and long sleeves and a black mantilla.

The lesson of Lily Allen's time-out: every podcaster deserves a break

Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart, Lily Allen and Miquita Oliver, Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe are 'always on'. In podcast parlance, that is — I can't vouch for them socially. Where other shows have seasons, these presenting double acts release episodes twice weekly, year-round. With the holidays upon us, I have been wondering: how do 'always on' podcasters take a break? With group-presented shows like The News Agents or Americast, the rest of the team can pick up the slack. But duo shows like Miss Me? with Allen and Oliver, Parenting Hell with Beckett and Widdicombe and all of Goalhanger's The Rest Is… formats rely on the specific dynamic of their presenting pair.

Brooks Nader suffers very racy wardrobe malfunction in skimpy dress as she parties in Saint-Tropez

Brooks Nader commanded attention when she was spotted stepping out in Saint-Tropez for a night on the town this weekend. The 28-year-old supermodel has been basking in the delights of Europe this summer, including taking a viral trip to Wimbledon. Now she has made her way down to the South of France, where she was glimpsed heading towards the upscale club VIP Room by the waterfront. She was decked out in a peekaboo black gown that was perfectly fitted to highlight her enviably svelte frame as she pounded the pavement en route to the venue. Sharpening her unmistakable features with makeup, she let her caramel-colored locks cascade freely over her shoulders in luscious waves. Her outfit was so revealingly cut that she briefly suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the street, as one of the slender straps covering her bust drifted off to one side. Brooks' latest blunder comes after she demonstrated her healthy sense of humor about herself while addressing an outfit mishap at Wimbledon. The sizzling sensation stuck to the themes of summertime and tennis, slipping into a white skirt for the world-famous tournament. But while she was in public, her period started and she bled through the fabric, with stains visible along the back of the skirt. She laughed off the snafu on TikTok, posting a video of herself getting confidently up from a table only for her sisters to start cringing at her. At that point Brooks turned around and the shot ran down the length of her outfit, so that the stains were in clear view on camera. The Baton Rouge-born clotheshorse poked fun at herself the in text over the video as well, writing: 'tries to be chic,' and then: 'Starts [blood emoji] at Wimbledon.' Fans leapt into the comments to praise her for being 'real' and 'NORMALIZING it,' with one writing: 'A canon event for all us girlies.' 'The one time you wear something non sheer and maxi,' joked one commenter with crying, praying and heart emoji - earning a like from Brooks. Brooks waved off the mishap and sat cheerfully in the audience at Wimbledon that day, with her sister Sarah Jane right beside her. She had another wardrobe malfunction in April at the Fashion Los Angeles Awards, where her structured dress drifted forward at one point and exposed her left nipple. Her latest outing comes three months after confirmed she has once again split from Dancing With The Stars pro Gleb Savchenko, 41. Brooks and Gleb started dating while competing as a team on Dancing With The Stars last autumn, triggering allegations they were engaged in a 'showmance.' They briefly broke up late last year but rekindled their romance, until it emerged in early April that Brooks had decided to leave him. Brooks' sister Grace has accused Gleb of being unfaithful, which he staunchly denied, insisting he is 'not a cheater' or a 'f***boy,' via E! News. Gleb was previously married to Russian artist Elena Samodanova for 14 years until she filed for divorce near the end of 2020. Their acrimonious split played out in the headlines, with Elena accusing Gleb of repeated infidelity and Gleb denying her allegations. Meanwhile, Brooks was seen chatting with Tom Brady at Michael Rubin's star-studded Fourth Of July party in 2024, setting off an avalanche of dating rumors. The sighting came days after she shared a kiss with Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark in the functions leading up to Olivia Culpo's wedding. Brooks separated from her husband Billy Haire in May 2024 after four years of marriage, with a source informing the split was amicable. Billy, who tied the knot with Brooks in December 2019, works as a vice president at The Arena Group, which published Sports Illustrated until earlier this year. Brooks first rose to fame by winning the Sports Illustrated Swim Search in 2019, and last year she was featured on the cover of the Swimsuit Issue. She and her sisters Mary, Grace and Sara are now all starring together on a reality show called Love Thy Nader, slated to bow on Hulu and Freeform this summer.

The six little-known Sky TV remote ‘codewords' to skip annoying ads, entertain your kids & unlock 5-star films instantly

TELLY fans can instantly upgrade their Sky-watching experience just by learning a few handy remote tricks. You can easily skip past ads, track down endless entertainment for your kids, and unlock the very best movies in a matter of seconds. It all works using the voice controls on Sky TV remotes. Most modern Sky telly remote controls feature a microphone button. You might have stared at it hundreds of times and never pressed it. But it can grant you dozens of different shortcuts – and I've picked out six of the best. If you get into the habit of using these special codewords and phrases, you'll save loads of time. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #1 – SKIP ADS First up is the ability to skip ads quickly. Now this won't work if you're watching live telly – but it's genius if you're viewing pre-recorded content. If you manually fast-forward through an ad break, it's pretty slow. But with the voice remote, you can just say: "Fast-forward three minutes." It'll whisk you right past the ads and back to your beloved telly. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #2 – TOP FLICKS You may have already known that you can search for movies with your voice by saying its name or asking for a genre. Sky customers can claim delicious freebies in new giveaway scheme But that might serve up some rubbish flicks that aren't worth your time. So instead, try asking for "movies rated five stars". That'll pull up a list of top-rated movies for your perusal, and hopefully ensure that you have a solid movie night. An alternative is to ask for "movies rated one star" if you want a bit of a laugh. 4 SKY TV VOICE TRICK #3 – FAST APPS Sometimes you're watching telly on a live channel or app and then want to view something else. Scrolling through menus and between apps can be a real faff. It's actually much quicker to just voice-request the name of the app. All you need to do is say "open Netflix" and it'll pop right up. You'll be shocked at how much time this can save you – but it's one of those tricks that you need to get into the habit of using, so you can really reap the rewards. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #4 – QUICK TELLY One of the biggest problems with watching TV in the modern age is the amount of choice you have. It can feel impossible to actually pick something because there's just endless telly out there. One solution to this is Sky's recommendation feature. 4 Just hit the microphone button and ask: "What should I watch?" This will feed you telly that you actually want to see based on your viewing habits. And it even works across Sky as well as third-party apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #5 – WORDS OFF Sometimes subtitles find themselves mysteriously activated and you can't work out why – or how to switch them off quickly. ANOTHER SKY TRICK TO TRY Earlier this week, we revealed a clever Sky trick... You can unlock loads of classic games on Sky for free. Just load up your Sky TV, go to the apps menu, and look for Games by It's packed with top games including retro titles like Pac-Man, Breakout, and Tetris. There are kids games too, and quizzes that you can play together as a family. You don't need a special controller. Instead you simply play using your Sky TV remote. The only catch? You'll have to sit through ads – but you won't pay a penny to play. Picture Credit: The Sun / Sky / Tetris And other times, you might want them on but can't remember how to bring them up. Rather than faffing around with settings, just use your voice. You can just ask for Sky to "turn subtitles on" or "turn subtitles off" and it'll happen in an instant. SKY TV VOICE TRICK #6 – FUN FOR KIDS It's summertime, which means many parents will be at home trying to entertain their children. 4 And Sky's telly service is jam-packed with kid-friendly content. If you want to find it all very quickly, simply say "Open Kids section". This will take you straight to a treasure trove of child-friendly telly that Sky has curated.
