Chhorii 2 Child Actor Hardika Sharma Says She Plays Young Samantha In Rakt Brahmand: 'I Met Her...'

News1827-04-2025
Hardika Sharma, a 10-year-old child artist, stars in Netflix's Rakt Brahmand. She spoke to News18 about playing younger version of Samantha in the upcoming Netflix series.
Hardika Sharma might be just 10 years old, but talk to her and you'll realise that she already has life figured out. She played Nushrratt Bharuccha's daughter, Ishani, in Prime Video's latest horror film, Chhori 2 and left cinephiles spellbound with her performance. As the film continues to trend, News18 Showsha got in touch with little Hardika to speak about the film. Without divulging any details, Hardika told us that she is also a part of Raj and DK's upcoming film, Rakt Brahmand, as Samantha's younger version.
Hardika is seamlessly balancing life between school and shoots, of course, with her parents overlooking her studies alongside her already lit acting career. For the unversed, we saw Hardika as the younger version of Samantha in Prime Video's Citadel: Honey Bunny. She excitedly shared that she has also taken on the role of young Samantha in Netflix's Rakt Brahmand.
She said, 'I couldn't get a chance to meet her as I played her younger version [in Citadel: Honey Bunny]. But my upcoming project Rakt Brahmand is coming on Netflix, in which I'm playing her younger version again."
While Hardika hasn't had an opportunity to share screen space with the South superstar yet, she is happy that she finally met Samantha on the sets of the fantasy television series. 'I did not have scenes with her, they were shot separately. But yes, when she came to the set, I met her and she's really cheerful and I loved how focused she is," Hardika cheerfully told us. She also said, 'I'm really excited for the project. You'll see why when you watch it," the popular child actor said, promising that she will talk more about the series after its release.

Hardika also played young Ananya Panday in Call Me Bae. Expressing fondness for the Kesari 2 star, she said, 'I want to be like her, and she's very cute. She's very nice." When asked if they've met yet, Hardika quipped, 'No, I haven't met her yet, but I have seen her movies. I played her younger version in the series, so I couldn't meet her."
We also asked Hardika to name a film or series starring Ananya that she likes the most. The little one had a witty reply — she chose Call Me Bae, as she was also part of the series and admired the actor's acting prowess.
Apart from this, Hardika told us that Kareena Kapoor Khan is her favourite actress and that she has worked with her in advertisements. She also spoke about sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in ad films. She signed off by saying that she now hopes to work on big projects with them.

From OMG 2 To Criminal Justice, Top 5 Courtroom Dramas Streaming Now On OTT

Last Updated: Discover 5 compelling courtroom dramas and movies on OTT—from Jolly LLB to OMG 2—that bring justice, satire, and powerful storytelling to your screen. Indian cinema has always thrived on the thunder of courtroom dialogues — from Sunny Deol's iconic roar of 'Taarikh pe Taarikh!" to Arshad Warsi's deadpan satire in Jolly LLB. There's something irresistible about legal dramas — the pressure-cooker atmosphere of the courtroom, the slow-burn revelations, and the sheer thrill of truth battling power. If you're a fan of edge-of-the-seat testimonies, intense cross-examinations, or courtroom chaos that's both heartwarming and hilarious, here are five courtroom-centric gems streaming across OTT platforms that are sure to deliver a gripping watch: 1. Kyo Kii… Main Jhuth Nahin Bolta – Prime Video Govinda brings chaos and charm to this David Dhawan comedy with a courtroom twist. As Raj Malhotra, a lawyer who lies his way to the top, Govinda's world flips when his young son wishes he could only speak the truth — and poof, the wish comes true. What follows is pure madness in the courtroom as he's forced to argue cases without bending facts. With laugh-out-loud moments and a surprisingly poignant ending, this one flips the legal genre on its head. 2. Criminal Justice: A Family Matter (Season 4) – JioCinema (Hotstar) Pankaj Tripathi returns as the unassuming yet brilliant Madhav Mishra in a season that delves into the shadows of a seemingly perfect family. When a nurse is murdered, emotions, betrayals, and secrets spill out in court. Tripathi's understated power and the show's layered storytelling make this a binge-worthy legal drama where every witness could be lying — or telling the brutal truth. 3. All The Best Pandya – ShemarooMe A Gujarati courtroom comedy that surprises with its warmth. When a father's honour is at stake, a son takes the matter to court — not to punish, but to protect. Set against a backdrop of generational clashes, the film weaves comedy and courtroom banter with heartfelt emotion. A delightful sleeper hit that leaves you smiling and introspecting. 4. OMG 2 – Netflix Part satire, part social reform, OMG 2 dares to take religion and education into the courtroom. When a teenager is expelled on charges of obscenity, his father (Pankaj Tripathi again) challenges the system with help from a divine guide (played by Akshay Kumar). It's not just about a case — it's about the stigma around sex education in India. Bold, timely, and emotionally moving, this film argues for truth with the sincerity of a prayer. 5. Jolly LLB – YouTube Before Jolly LLB 2 made headlines, this sleeper hit laid the foundation. Arshad Warsi shines as a lawyer chasing fame who finds himself taking on a powerful legal system after a tragic hit-and-run. Sharp writing, dark humour, and moments of quiet rebellion make Jolly LLB a courtroom classic that resonates even years later. These courtroom stories aren't just about legal technicalities — they capture the chaos of truth, the complexity of morality, and the raw human need for justice. Whether you're in it for a laugh, a good cry, or a wake-up call, justice is streaming near you. Court is in session. First Published: July 05, 2025, 19:58 IST

Exploring Urban Horror in '84 Square Meters': The Nightmare of Noisy Neighbors

Your Dream Home Turns Into A Living Nightmare So you finally manage to buy your own place after years of hustling, saving, and maybe borrowing a little (okay, a lot) from every possible source-sounds familiar, right? That's exactly what happens to Woo Sung (played by Kang Ha Neul) in Netflix's latest Korean thriller, ' 84 Square Meters '. He's your typical "yeongkeul-jok"-someone who's literally "scraped their soul together" to own an 84㎡ (about 900 sq. ft.) apartment, the golden standard for middle-class dreams in Korea. But just when he thinks he's made it, he's hit with the one thing no one warns you about: mysterious, relentless apartment noise that just won't quit. Apartment Noise: The True Urban Horror Story by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025 Top Trending local enterprise accounting software [Click Here] Esseps Learn More Undo Every night, Woo Sung is tortured by bizarre sounds from above. Earplugs? Forget it. He's exhausted, stressed, and starting to lose it. His upstairs neighbor Jin Ho (Seohyun Woo) seems shady, always staring down with a poker face, while the penthouse resident Eun Hwa (Yeom Hye Ran), who runs the apartment association, looks down on everyone-literally and figuratively. The film's poster says it all: "Is it the apartment's fault? Or is it just people?" If you've ever lived in a flat where you could hear every cough, fight, or midnight furniture shuffle, you know this is not just a Korean problem. In Indian cities, too, thin walls and nosy neighbors are a rite of passage-except here, it's dialed up to eleven, with blood, paranoia, and psychological warfare. The Pressure Cooker: When Neighbors Become Enemies Woo Sung's life is already a mess-he's juggling a soul-crushing job, side gigs like late-night food delivery, and even "borrowing" office supplies to make ends meet (raise your hand if you've ever pocketed a stapler). But the real horror starts at home. Accused of being the noise culprit himself, Woo Sung gets desperate. He confronts Eun Hwa, hoping for help, but she's more interested in keeping things quiet before the new GTX train line opens (because, priorities). Meanwhile, the downstairs neighbors start leaving passive-aggressive notes, and Woo Sung gets the creeping feeling he's being watched. "The people downstairs aren't normal," he mutters, and honestly, who hasn't thought that at least once? The tension explodes as neighbors turn on each other. Jin Ho taunts, "You think the downstairs can ever beat the upstairs?" The lines between victim and villain blur, and soon, Woo Sung's face is bloodied, his mind shattered, and the audience is left wondering: Who's really to blame when everything falls apart? Why This Movie Hits So Hard '84 Square Meters' isn't just a thriller-it's a mirror to the anxieties of anyone hustling for a better life in a crowded city. The film dives deep into the struggles of the "yeongkeul-jok" generation, crushed by home loans and sky-high property prices, only to find that the real battle begins after you get the keys. It's the kind of story that hits home for young people everywhere-whether you're in Seoul, Mumbai, or Bangalore. The cast is top-tier, with Kang Ha Neul shedding his usual soft image for a raw, desperate portrayal, backed by Yeom Hye Ran's icy authority and Seohyun Woo's unsettling calm. Director Kim Tae Joon, who made waves with 'Unlocked', brings his signature suspense to the most ordinary setting: your own apartment. By the end, you'll be side-eyeing your own neighbors-and maybe sleeping with the lights on. And if you think this is just another horror flick, think again. '84 Square Meters' is a social thriller that exposes the cracks in our urban dreams, where the real monsters aren't ghosts or ghouls, but the people living next door.
