Samsung listened to you: Galaxy Z Fold 7 is ditching the 'ugly' cameras
Remember the thick ring camera design on the Galaxy S25 Ultra? It became the talk of the digital town when users discovered that the decorative rings could just pop off. The company listened to those complaints, and changed how the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will look before it entered production.
According to a renowned Samsung tipster, the Fold 7 originally featured the same ring design on its main cameras. Samsung 'urgently' reversed course and chose a design similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 after users complained about how cheap the rings felt.
Recent leaked Fold 7 renders also reflect this change in design, where the main camera array features a much sleeker look without the rings. If you didn't like how the rings looked, then that's two upgrades to the cameras for you. A massive Fold 7 leak has just confirmed that the phone will come with a 200 MP main camera, instead of its predecessor's 50 MP sensor.
The new Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge also followed this redesign, and doesn't feature the rings on its cameras. Furthermore, the backlash was intense enough that Samsung is expected to remove the rings from the Galaxy S26 series next year as well.

You love to see it, don't you? A company actually listening to negative feedback and implementing changes accordingly. Now, if only Samsung would listen to us about its batteries: the expected 4,400 mAh capacity on the Fold 7 , alongside 25W of wired charging, does not inspire confidence. Of course, if the Fold 7 isn't your cup of tea, you've got other excellent options like the Oppo Find N5 and the Honor Magic V5. The N5 was the slimmest foldable in the world until the V5 dethroned it. However, if you can't live without One UI, then the Fold 7 is still your best bet. If you're concerned about long-term software support, Honor is providing the same seven years of updates as Samsung.
Or, of course, you could wait a year and see if Apple finally delivers its foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 lineup. Though, if leaked foldable iPhone screen specs are anything to go by, then the Fold 7 may already have it beat. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 dimensions leak again
Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are expected to launch as the brand's slimmest and lightest foldable phones next week. Ahead of the big announcement, leakster Setsuna Digital shared some preliminary dimensions for both devices. In related news, Evan Blass shared additional official-looking renders for Samsung's upcoming foldable, showing off their updated slim designs. Galaxy Z Fold7 is reportedly getting an enhanced armored aluminum frame and glass ceramic back panel. Z Fold7's tenure as the thinnest foldable may be short-lived, though, as Honor is launching its Magic V5 later this week, which will be 8.8mm thin in its folded state. Galaxy Z Flip7 Galaxy Z Flip7 will come in at 13.7mm folded and 6.5mm unfolded while weighing 188 grams. These dimensions would make Z Flip7 the undisputed slimmest flip foldable to date. iPhone 17 Pro redesign rumors heat up – could Apple move its logo for the first time in years?
There's a rumored redesign planned for the iPhone 17 Pro models. Nothing is confirmed at this point, but there have been multiple reports (mainly by one or two leakers, though) that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max may get a bigger camera island that spans across the top part of the phone. Now, Majin Bu, who's been one of the main voices in the leaks about the new design (and who has a mixed track record when it comes to leaks) claims the new design may force Apple to move its logo. Bu is sharing a new image and claiming the Apple logo may be lower because of this new design. The logo supposedly would be at the center bottom part of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, below the camera bar. Majin Bu claims that this information comes from a company that "specializes in cases for the iPhone 17 Pro line". Apparently, this company has confirmed they are already working on cases for the new design. Image Credit - Majin Bu Apple moving the logo is not entirely impossible, although it seems a bit unnecessary – there aren't practical requirements for that. However, Apple did move its logo with the iPhone 11 in 2019. If you remember, before that phone, Apple's logo sat higher on the back of iPhones (but the word "iPhone" was also written lower on the phone's back), and now, the Apple logo is taking a central position. If the expected camera island redesign is indeed true, this would be the first major change to the cameras since the iPhone 11. Reportedly, the three cameras will remain on the left side but the flash and LiDAR would move to the right. Earlier, Bu also claimed the iPhone 17 Pro would get a vapor chamber cool system, but now seems less confident about this particular rumor. Apparently, there have been some "challenges" to address and they may eventually not come. But, it's important to note that Apple is quite good with keeping things under wraps, and I won't be surprised if this new redesign isn't a thing. I won't be surprised if it is either, as times seem a bit dramatic for Apple, and maybe something eye-catching is needed. Well, we'll have to wait and see to know for certain. The iPhone 17 series will have to face the Galaxy S25 series for the title of the best flagship phone this year. The Galaxies have kept the same (more or less) design in recent years with some subtle refinements, so at least when it comes to design, it may be Apple surprising us this time.
