After impressing at the Belgium club Gent, the 20-year-old returned to Lille last year, where he spent the youth ranks.
Fernandez-Pardo caught everyone's eye with his impressive performances despite limited starts last season.

Former Liverpool boss wants to sign Reds' POWERHOUSE midfielder

Liverpool need more departures We could see Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa and Ben Doak move on before the window closes - while Harvey Elliott and Tyler Morton could also make way. Those sales would give Liverpool even more breathing space in the transfer market - as well as clearing significant room on the wage bill. One more player tipped for the exit is Stefan Bajcetic. The 20-year-old spent last season out on loan to Red Bull Salzburg under Pep Lijnders and at Las Palmas in LaLiga. Bajcetic in demand The midfielder, described as 'outstanding' by former Reds captain Jordan Henderson, has got admirers in LaLiga with Celta Vigo and Valencia in the mix to sign him. But a new contender has now emerged for the Spain under-21 international with Brendan Rodgers' Celtic coming forward with their interest. That's according to a new report in TEAMtalk, which claims a temporary deal plus an obligation to purchase is in the offing. © IMAGO - Stefan Bajcetic Liverpool Brendan Rodgers wants Bajcetic at Celtic 'Liverpool are open to letting the highly-rated 20-year-old Spanish midfielder leave in the summer transfer window, with a loan-to-buy deal being the likely structure,' the report reads. 'However, Bajcetic's high valuation could pose another challenge for Celtic, who are cautious about overextending their budget.' It's not clear how much Liverpool would command for Bajcetic. © IMAGO Bajcetic asking price He is under contract until 2027 and has not played much for the club over the last few seasons due to injuries and his loan spells. With Liverpool reportedly looking for more than €9m for Tyler Morton - who is under contract until 2026 - it could mean Bajcetic goes for slightly more than that. Whether Celtic have the funds to come up with a deal for Bajcetic remains to be seen. Nonetheless, the schemer is not on tour with the Reds in Asia and is expected to conclude a move away before the window closes.

Williams brothers say they have been falsely accused of fraud in Spain

BILBAO, Spain (AP) — Athletic Bilbao players Nico and Iñaki Williams said Thursday they have been falsely accused of fraud. The brothers released a statement saying they plan to take legal action against those who made the accusation. The Williams brothers did not provide many details about the accusation. Some Spanish media outlets had reported that the accusation was related to the ownership of a high-end vehicle. They said the 'false accusation is clearly made to damage our personal and professional image and to try to get us to make an improper payment.' The brothers said they are not worried about the accusation because they did nothing wrong and have faith in the legal system. ___ AP soccer: The Associated Press

Sancho Ready to Halve His Salary for Borussia Dortmund Return

Man United winger desperate to escape Old Trafford after Chelsea loan and failed comeback Sancho Ready to Halve His Salary for Borussia Dortmund Return Jadon Sancho's pushing hard for return to Borussia Dortmund even offering to cut his salary by half according to reports from Germany. From Old Trafford to Exile Since joining Man United from Dortmund in 2021, Sancho 25 has failed to live up to expectations at Old Trafford. Despite showing glimpses of form during loan spell at Chelsea where he helped win the Conference league, the Blues opted not to keep him going so far as to pay 5 million sterling pound penalty to avoid triggering permanent deal. United Want Him Gone United're now seeking to offload the winger and his £300000 a week contract with Sancho reportedly excluded from both matchday squads and even fringe training groups under manager Ruben Amorim. According to Bild, Sancho's offered to reduce his wage to 150000 sterling pound per week to facilitate ermanent move back to Signal Iduna Park. Even at that rate, he'd still be among the top earners at Dortmund behind only Niklas Sule (£230000 /week). Sancho's Legacy in Germany Sancho previously shone at Dortmund between 2017 & 2021 scoring 38 goal in 104 Bundesliga games before short loan return in 2024 helping the club reach the Champions league final. Across all competitions he's 158 appearances, 53 goal and 67 assist in yellow & black.
