Miley Cyrus Announces Visual Album "Something Beautiful": Here's When It Arrives
Miley Cyrus has announced her upcoming visual album, 'Something Beautiful,' set for release on May 30.
Though details surrounding the record are scarce, the singer revealed that her ninth album will feature 13 original tracks and is executive produced by Cyrus and Shawn Everett, who previously worked with Kacey Musgraves and Alabama Shakes. She also revealed the album cover, shot by Glen Luchford and showing Cyrus in archival 1997 Thierry Mugler couture.
The album is available for preorder in various formats including signed vinyl and CDs, limited-edition vinyl, and two box sets featuring collectibles.
Cyrus has been teasing 'Something Beautiful' over the past week, with her social media accounts changing headers to hint at the album title and posters and billboards popping up in Brazil, the Netherlands, and Argentina.
The singer last released 'Endless Summer Vacation' in March 2023 led by the single 'Flowers.' That song became a massive hit for Cyrus, spending eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and breaking numerous streaming records.
'Flowers' won the Grammys last year for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, while 'Endless' was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
'Flowers' is currently at the focus of a copyright lawsuit brought by Tempo Music Investments in September 2024 that accuses Cyrus of copying Bruno Mars' 'When I Was Your Man.'
Tempo owns the catalog rights of 'When I Was Your Man' co-writer Philip Lawrence, and last week, a judge denied Cyrus' request to dismiss the suit, clearing the path towards a trial.
