This Minnesota Gophers star's confidence has everyone talking
The Gophers don't just have a rising star — they've got a player so confident in his game, he believes he could've gone straight to the NFL out of high school.
In a recent interview with KSTP Sports during Gophers media day, Perich admitted his dream was never about Saturdays — it was always about Sundays. More specifically, playing for his hometown team.
'No… I didn't watch college football, and my dream was to play for the Vikings,' Perich said. 'I would just skip through college if I could and play for the Vikings. We gotta do our three years, so I'm ready to do it.'
It's a bold statement — but one that fits the edge Perich brings on the field. He's not shy about his goals, and he's already building the kind of resume that backs them up.
The Minnesota Vikings could be on the hunt for a future replacement for veteran safety Harrison Smith, but they'll likely have to wait. Perich still has at least two more seasons left in a Gophers uniform.

That doesn't mean he's just biding his time.
Perich has already become one of the most important pieces on Minnesota's defense — and arguably their top long-term asset. The more plays he makes, the more attention he'll draw at the next level.
He's made it clear where he wants to end up. And at the rate he's rising, Vikings fans might not have to wait long to see that dream come full circle.

Liverpool have already made a €100m transfer this summer in the form of from Bayer Leverkusen, whose deal might rise to a €133m fee if all of the add-ons end up being triggered. And now the Reds are looking at the prospect of signing Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, with an asking price being rumoured of around €100m, which would be the Reds' second high-cost move. Of course, Liverpool had considered a move for Alexander Isak from Newcastle and his £120m fee (€138m) would have blown the others out of the water, but he is deemed to not be for sale right now. But the amount they would have spent could still be listed on the balance sheet in the form of a transfer for Real Madrid's Rodrygo Goes, who is a target for the left-wing spot if Luis Diaz departs. Liverpool enter the fight for Rodrygo No, you aren't dreaming. Liverpool are in for a third transfer worth an absence amount of money. ESPN analyst puts Rams WR Puka Nacua in 'elite' tier
Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua is reaching rarified air as he enters his third NFL season. The former fifth-round pick is coming off another great year despite missing six games after he finished with 79 receptions for 990 yards and three touchdowns. Now, he'll line up alongside veteran Davante Adams with Matthew Stafford still throwing him the ball in 2025. While there is debate as to whether or not Nacua is one of the best receivers in the league already, ESPN's Kevin Clark believes the Rams' star is already among other elite pass-catchers and put him on his second tier of receivers alongside A.J. Brown, Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb and Nico Collins. Nacua proved in just two seasons that he can be one of the best receivers in the league. Not only did he produce all over the field in 2024, but he also had 115 receptions for first downs. Nacua moved the chains on 17% of the routes he ran, too, which outpaced every other receiver in the league this past season. Regardless of where he lands among the pantheon of receivers, there's no debating that Nacua is one of the top young pass-catchers in the NFL. He's only 24 years old and is already Stafford's No. 1 target — even with Adams in tow. This article originally appeared on Rams Wire: Puka Nacua in 'elite' WR tier, per ESPN analyst
