Farhan's 50 lifts Pakistan to 178-7 in third T20 against Bangladesh
Farhan's 41-ball 63 studded with five sixes and six boundaries as well as Hasan Nawaz's 17-ball 33 with three sixes and a boundary helped Pakistan post a challenging total after they were sent into bat.
Having already won their first-ever T20I series against Pakistan with victories in the first two matches, Bangladesh rested five of their main players including spearhead Mustafizur Rahman.
Pakistan had scored 110 and 125 in the first two matches — also in Dhaka.
Farhan, who replaced Fakhar Zaman as one of two changes for Pakistan, put on 82 for the opening stand with Saim Ayub who scored a 15-ball 21 with a six and two boundaries.
Farhan, 29, fell in the 12th over to spinner Nasum Ahmed who finished with 2-22 in his four overs. Pacer Taskin Ahmed took 3-38.
Mohammad Nawaz, who scored 16-ball 27 with two sixes and as many fours, and skipper Salman Agha made 12 to help Pakistan add 46 runs in the last five overs.

"But, I thought the way we were able to navigate some tricky overs and keep taking wickets, I sort of feel 230 is probably par on that. I thought it was an outstanding effort with the ball." The final game of the series takes place at the same venue on Monday, before Australia return home for a limited-overs series against South Africa, while the West Indies host Pakistan for three T20Is and three one-day internationals.

Asia Cup cricket tournament to be held in UAE from Sept.9-28
The men's Asia Cup cricket tournament will be played in the UAE from Sept.9-28, a top official of the Asian Cricket Council said on Saturday. "I am delighted to confirm the dates for the ACC Men's Asia Cup 2025 in UAE,' ACC president Mohsin Naqvi wrote on X. "We look forward to a spectacular display of cricket! Detailed Schedule will be out soon.' Five full members of the ACC — Afghanistan, Bangladesh, official host India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka — along with UAE, Oman and Hong Kong will participate in the Twenty20 event. India is the official host but the tournament is being held at a neutral venue for rivals India and Pakistan. Naqvi, who is also chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, led an ACC annual general meeting in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Thursday, but didn't confirm the dates after the meeting. According to reports, eight teams will compete: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, UAE, and Oman. A total of 19 matches will be played, with the final scheduled for 28 September. The tournament will follow the T20 format.
