The cameras are set to roll on GUNMAASTER G9, a high-octane family action drama that marks the much-anticipated reunion of the Aashiq Banaya Aapne team—Emraan Hashmi, director Aditya Datt, and music composer Himesh Reshammiya—after nearly two decades.
Produced by Deepak Mukut and Hunar Mukut under the Soham Rockstar Entertainment banner, the film features a dynamic ensemble cast including Emraan Hashmi, Genelia D'Souza, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh. Following the success of Sanam Teri Kasam earlier this year, Mukut brings his vision for genre-driven cinema to this ambitious new project.

GUNMAASTER G9 will see Emraan Hashmi in a never-before-seen action avatar, promising stylized visuals and emotionally charged storytelling that appeals to a wide audience.
Director Aditya Datt, known for Table No. 21, the Commando franchise, and the recent OTT series Bad Cop, sees the film as a full-circle moment.
'When we made Aashiq Banaya Aapne, we were young, hungry, and experimental. With GUNMAASTER G9, we're still all of those things—but sharper and more evolved. It's a full-circle moment for me. I'm incredibly grateful to Deepak Mukut for bringing us back together and trusting us with this film,' he said.
Producer Deepak Mukut head of Soham Rockstar Entertainment, known for investing in genre-forward cinema added:
'This film is slick, emotional, and has mass appeal. At Soham Rockstar, we back directors like Aditya Datt who have a strong vision and a fresh take on mainstream cinema. With Emraan, Genelia, and Aparshakti onboard, we have a dream cast to bring this powerful story to life.'
With Himesh Reshammiya returning to score the music, GUNMAASTER G9 is expected to deliver a blockbuster soundtrack that complements its gripping narrative. The film promises to be a full-spectrum cinematic experience for today's audiences.
Principal photography is scheduled to begin in Mumbai post-monsoon, with Uttarakhand schedules to follow shortly thereafter.
The film is slated for release in 2026.

Who Is Tanushree Dutta? The Aashiq Banaya Aapne actress, who failed to give any hit, disappeared from Bollywood and then...

Once the face of bold 2000s Bollywood cinema, Tanushree Dutta shot to fame with her sizzling debut in Aashiq Banaya Aapne alongside Emraan Hashmi. Born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, into a Bengali Hindu family, she pursued her schooling at D.B.M.S. English School and later graduated from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her life took a glamorous turn when she won the Femina Miss India 2004 crown. That same year, she represented India at Miss Universe and ranked sixth runner-up, a feat that propelled her into the modelling and film world. How did she enter Bollywood? Tanushree made her Bollywood debut in 2005 with Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The movie became a major talking point for its music and bold scenes. Soon, she was seen in notable films like Bhagam Bhag (opposite Akshay Kumar) and Dhol (with Tusshar Kapoor), and later made an appearance in Tamil cinema with Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai in 2010. Despite a promising start, her film career fizzled out. Her last known TV appearance was in SuperCops Vs Super Villains (2013), after which she relocated to the United States. Is she married? Tanushree has always been open about her strong opinions on relationships. Though rumours once linked her to filmmaker Aditya Datt, nothing was confirmed. Speaking about marriage in an old interview, she said, 'I have always known what I want in my family dynamics, in my friendships. I have clarity, so people like me remain single for a long time till there is something very deep or concrete.' To this day, she remains unmarried. Why is Tanushree in the news now? Recently, Tanushree broke down in a teary Instagram video, alleging harassment at her home. 'I am being harassed in my own home. Mujhe mere hi ghar mein pareshaan kiya jaa raha hai,' she said in the emotional clip. She added that police visited her after she called them, but advised her to file a proper complaint at the station. 'Mujhe itna pareshaan kiya gaya hai pichle 4 to 5 saalon mein,' she shared, her voice shaking.

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) The makers of director Rawindra Pulle 's eagerly awaited action entertainer, 'Mysaa', featuring actress Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, have now announced that they have roped in international stunt choreographer Andy Long for the film. In the world of #MYSAA, action isn't just a part... For the unaware, Andy Long is the stunt choreographer of films like Commando, Kung Fu Warrior, Projekt Adler, The Intergalactic Adventures of Max Cloud, Sanak and Kalki. Rashmika has been betting big on this film and the character she plays in it. It may be recalled that the actress had disclosed that the character she plays in this film represents a version of her that even she hadn't met until now.
