Katie Price branded a 'serial animal killer' over multiple animal deaths

Daily Mirror09-07-2025
Former glamour model Katie Price was previously branded a 'serial animal killer' by animal charity PETA over her multiple animal deaths
Katie Price was once branded a 'serial animal killer' by PETA over the deaths of at least eight of her animals. The 47-year-old former glamour model was most recently slammed for allowing one of her £2,000-a-pop Sphynx cats to get sunburnt during the last heatwave as PETA complained, "here we go again".
In a video, she showed her Sphynx cat with a red head and back. Stroking the cat, she said: 'Oh Kevin, you have been in the sun today, you have got sunburnt despite us putting sun cream on you… Look at his little face.' The caption accompanying the video said: 'Trying to keep the cats out of the sun is hard work.'

PETA's Elisa Allen said the Mucky Mansion star had repeatedly ignored advice on pet care. She said: 'Anyone who warns Katie not to hurt the animals she takes in might as well be screaming into the wind, for all she seems to care. And here we go again: her cat is sunburnt – something she was likely warned about when acquiring a gimmick cat, bred to look odd and be hairless.'
The organisation says cats with 'light or no fur can burn easily, which is just one reason to keep them indoors.' It adds: 'If they do go into a secure garden, apply vet-approved sunscreen and ensure they have plenty of shade. Cat guardians must stay alert, if you spot redness, swelling, or signs of infection, seek veterinary care immediately.'
But it's not the first time the animal charity hit out at the TV personality, with them branding her a 'serial animal killer' in a previous statement over her 'track record of animal deaths'.

After she introduced her new pet, a Sphynx named Daisy, in November last year, PETA said there should be an injunction stopping the star from owning pets.
Founder Ingrid Newkirk said: "If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn't care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.

"If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price's custody. No one could call it 'care'."
Four dogs – Blade, Queenie, Sharon and Sparkle – were killed by cars near her Mucky Mansion home. And one of Katie's horses was hit by a car and killed in 2017 after escaping from a field.
In 2020, dog Rolo suffocated in her home after getting stuck in an electric armchair. Katie admitted giving him cannabis oil, but said she was unaware it was illegal to do so without a vet prescription.

Katie also revealed the death of a chameleon and admitted she had to put down a designer cat named Frog.
She said in her memoir: "He had a neurological disease. Within days it had spread through his body. So I cuddled him in my arms and he had to be put to sleep."

'I moved from US to the UK and there's one British phrase I still find odd'

A woman who moved from the US to the UK has shared three phrases she never said before she moved to Britain, including one that she claims 'throws off every American' A woman who moved from the US to the UK has shared the one 'British' phrase that she claims every American expat gets confused by. It's expected to get some culture shocks when moving to a new country, including the language used by locals, and an American called Katie has taken to TikTok to speak about the differences she has experienced since moving across from the States. ‌ The content creator now lives in York and has posted videos about her life in the UK. These include British supermarket items she likes and things that 'feel illegal' in Britain but aren't illegal. In another clip she shared three British phrases she never used to say before living in the UK. ‌ 1. 'You alright' Katie claimed the phrase 'you alright' 'throws off every single American when they move here' and she admitted that it's definitely true for herself. ‌ She explained that in America people only say that if something's wrong but in the UK people commonly say 'you alright' as a greeting when passing each other in the street, for example. The expat advised fellow American expats not to panic if a British person says this to them and to respond 'yeah, good thanks and you?' ‌ 2. 'Hiya' Katie continued: '[The] Second one is 'hiya'. I don't…I never said this before moving here, now I say it all the time.' 'Hiya' is an informal way of saying 'hello'. She added that it flows well with 'you alright' so someone from the UK might say 'hiya, you alright.' 3. 'What's for tea?' The content creator's third and favourite phrase that she has picked up since moving to the UK is 'what's for tea?' ‌ Katie remarked: 'I ask everybody 'what's for tea?', I love it.' She explained that Brits use this casual phrase when asking someone what they are having for dinner. The expat elaborated: 'I think it's maybe only like a northern thing to ask that but either way, yeah I'm obsessed with it.' She also shared that she asks 'what's for tea?' anytime there's a lull in the conversation or when she's talking to someone she has just met. ‌ Katie's TikTok video has garnered 18,700 views, more than 1,000 likes and numerous comments, at the time of writing. One user pointed out: 'Americans say 'how you doin' which is literally the same as 'you alright'. Another said: 'There's an amusing irony in how you started the video with 'what's up' which always throws Brits off as we would only use it if something is wrong.' A third praised Katie for adopting British culture as they commented: 'Perfect, you're doing great. These made me smile, I use all of these.' While a fourth added: 'Love how you're picking up a bit of an accent too."

Princess Andre splashes cash on huge haul of designer gear after bagging reality TV deal

Princess Andre admitted her 'bank account hates her' after spending thousands on designer goods after vowing to become a millionaire before she's 20 Princess Andre has splashed the cash on a huge haul of designer gear after bagging a mega money reality TV deal. The daughter of Peter Andre and Katie Price, who recently turned 18, is currently filming her fly-on-the-wall show as she promises to give fans a sneak peak into her glamorous life. ‌ The teenager, who also models for fashion brand, Pretty Little Thing, boasts more than 743,000 followers on her Instagram, and has contracts with Superdrug, Studio London, Morphe and Revolution, has vowed to become a 'millionaire by the age of 20'. ‌ And it looks like she's getting in some practice for her bumper pay day, after hitting the shops and spending thousands on goods from Louis Vuitton, the Apple store, Charlotte Tilbury makeup and Sephora. ‌ Sharing snaps of the bags from the boot of her car, Princess admitted: "My bank account hates me" as she posted the snap on Instagram. She also shared a photo of luxury store, Louis Vuitton, where its monogrammed bags start from over £1,000. Princess made her modelling debut last year with PLT and is preparing to star in her own TV show for the first time. ‌ The influencer is set to make thousands and take after her famous parents by becoming a reality star in her own right. A source told The Sun: 'Princess is very conscious of the fact her mum got famous very early in her career, so Katie is a big inspiration to her. Bagging her own TV show is a huge deal, but producers are keen to stress it is about her and not her famous parents. Both Katie and Peter are likely to feature, though it will likely be more as cameo stars.' ‌ However, Katie recently claimed that she'd been banned from appearing in the show on Princess' birthday as she appeared to blame her ex, Peter and his management. Speaking to her sister, Sophie, on their podcast, she said: "Princess is now officially an adult so mummy and Princess can now go out together. If certain people would let her be seen with me. "Everyone knows she's doing this documentary - and I'm not in it. Certain people don't think it's good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me." "You aren't on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that's why," her sister retorted. "It's pathetic. I'm her mother," Katie snapped. "It's so sad," she lamented. "When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after..." Katie was then cut off by sister Sophie who encouraged her to "save it for another day."

Katie Price shows off biggest lips yet and even tighter face after latest procedures

Former glamour model Katie Price has revealed the results of her latest £10,000 facelift and new lip fillers, despite previously admitting dissatisfaction with the outcome Katie Price has unveiled the results of her latest cosmetic procedures, showing off her £10,000 facelift and noticeably fuller lips in a new Instagram video. ‌ The 47-year-old mother-of -five, who has admitted to spending hundreds of thousands on plastic surgery over the years, appeared in the clip promoting CBD oil from her kitchen. ‌ Dressed in a slogan T-shirt with her black hair down, Katie leaned over the counter to speak directly to the camera as she gave fans a close-up view of her newly enhanced face after undergoing even more cosmetic procedures in recent weeks. ‌ Earlier this month, Katie made another trip to Harley Street's The Clinic Club for a Brazilian Bum Lift and a lip filler top-up and she had the procedures done all in one session. Documenting the cosmetic updates on Instagram, she told fans at the time: "So my lips are done. I haven't gone too big and now I'm gonna do my bum. Literally, got the train up, having my lips done, having filler in two areas of my bum, then taking Harvey to his new place.' ‌ Despite previously expressing regret over her past procedures, Katie proved that she wasn't deterred from getting more work done. The former glamour model emphasised to her fans that this time the process was far safer and took a lot less time under the knife. "If I'd had my bum done in Turkey it would be more dangerous. I'd be put to sleep, it would be more dangerous and they use your own fat. This is just filler. Come up here for an hour and a half and it's done, amazing," she told her Instagram followers. The mum-of-five has recently returned from a lavish and sun-soaked getaway in Dubai and after getting her latest string of cosmetic procedures done, Katie posted a close-up showing off her biggest lips yet. ‌ "See, you can tell I haven't had much today. Gone a bit more classy. I just need to get my lashes done now," she said. Katie recently opened up about her surgical procedure journey so far and which body part she regrets tweaking the most. The former glamour model said her Brazilian butt lift is among her biggest regrets. ‌ She underwent the surgery back in 2019 but swiftly got it reversed after hating just how big it looked. Earlier this year, she added filler to her backside and gave fans an insight into the procedure on her Instagram page. Speaking to Olivia Attwood on her So Wrong It's Right podcast before her arrest last week, Katie shared that despite trying to correct the shape of her bum, she still doesn't like it. "I've done it twice but now, I think I've lost weight and it's gone, my bum has gone a weird shape now and I wish I never had it done," she shared. ‌ Agreeing with Olivia about just how dangerous the procedure can be, Katie added that she "hated" the way it looked and has since realised she doesn't want a big bum. "Years ago I tried a BBL where they take your own fat off your belly, I hated it because I had all that fat. So, I had all that taken out, I hated it. Big bums don't suit me, I don't want a big bum and I do see some of these girls and think, Oh My God, what are you doing?" ‌ Katie went on to say that she believes it's best to leave her bottom as it is for now, in fear of making it worse. Olivia, who fronted the cosmetic procedure documentary The Price Of Perfection, then shared how she had seen more bad than good BBL results and encouraged those wanting a better looking bum to simply just do some squats. After Katie agreed, she added: "The bum I think is the most trickiest... I wish I had left my bum alone. I don't even know what I was trying to achieve out of it, I thought I'd just try it. I think because I sit on my a**e all the time, I think it looks square." Turning her experiences into a positive however, Katie believes her 17-year-old daughter Princess won't follow in her footsteps with surgery as she's seen just how painful it can be. The TV star shares Princess and Junior with her first husband Peter Andre, Harvey Price with her ex-partner Dwight Yorke and Jett and Bunny with her third spouse Kieran Hayler.
