Search for ‘armed and dangerous' suspect continues in Southern Kentucky

MONROE COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — The Monroe County Sheriff's Department is still searching for a suspect considered 'armed and dangerous' after he fled the scene of a shooting Thursday.
The MCSD responded to a call about a possible shooting on Hickory Ridge Road at about 9:34 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived to the scene, they found that the victim had allegedly been shot by Timmy Jackson with a shotgun. The victim was transported to TJ Samson Community Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
According to the MCSD, Jackson fled the scene after the incident in a silver 2002 Chevrolet Silverado regular cab pickup truck that had been reported stolen Thursday morning from Mud Camp Road in Burkesville. Although several units responded to the scene and searched the area, they were unable to find him.

As of Thursday evening, Jackson was still at large and considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information of Jackson's whereabouts has been asked to call the Monroe County Sheriff's Department at 270-487-6622.

Police are asking for the public's help identifying the man who allegedly stole electric bikes and registration plates from a car dealership in Boston last Saturday. Police responded to the dealership on Commonwealth Avenue in Allston around 2:22 a.m. on Saturday. A police department spokesperson said the bald white man had unlawfully entered the premises and stole several e-bikes worth thousands of dollars and two dealer registration plates. Police say the suspect drove away from the scene in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck bearing a cursive 'LM' on the side. A newlywed's life was shattered when her husband and 1-year-old daughter were killed in a fiery head-on car crash while returning from their honeymoon. 'Macey, Hunter and Oakleigh were in a horrific car accident yesterday on their way home from their honeymoon in Pigeon Forge,' wrote Leigh Ann Payne-Weisser, Macey's mother, in a Facebook post. Advertisement She added that her daughter was taken to the burn unit at the University of Louisville Hospital to be treated for her injuries. 'Hunter and Oakleigh are now with our Lord and Savior. According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened on July 26, when a Ford F-150 traveling south on Kentucky Route 261 in Breckinridge County veered across the center line for unknown reasons and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado.
