Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi Are Back to Old Habits as They Do This to Their UK Home

Yahoo4 days ago
Mere days after Ellen DeGeneres revealed that she and Portia de Rossi were staying in the UK, and that the Cotswold home is their forever home, they put it on the market.
That's right, the pair are back to selling houses within a year of getting them, and this Cotswolds mansion is no different. They're officially selling their $20 million mansion for $30 million, moving to a nearby home for one reason: for Portia's horses.

'When we decided to live here full time, we knew that Portia couldn't live without her horses,' Ellen told The Wall Street Journal. 'We needed a home that had a horse facility and pastures for them.'
They often buy and sell houses within less than two years, but doing it all within the same calendar year is not out of the ordinary for them. Back in 2014, they bought Brody House in Holmby Hills for about $40 million and within the same calendar year, they sold it for $55 million, per Realtor.
So, now, they're embracing a new UK home, and fans are itching to know what this new home looks like.
For those who don't know, DeGeneres and Rossi met back in 2001 at a Rock the Vote concert. However, they didn't get together until 2004. When they reconnected in 2004, they split with their respective partners, and they started dating. The pair later got engaged, and married in Aug 2008.
After Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, DeGeneres and Rossi left all of their California properties behind to move to the UK, later confirming the election was the reason why.
'We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, 'He got in.' And we're like, 'We're staying here,'' she said, confirming they're done with the US. 'We moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.'Best of SheKnows

SummerSlam 2025: Brock Lesnar returns to WWE to attack John Cena

Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE and made his intentions known as to why. Lesnar has not worked publicly with the company since losing to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam in 2023. While Rhodes regained the WWE Undisputed Championship after a victory over John Cena in a street fight to headline SummerSlam on Sunday, Aug. 3, Lesnar arrived with Cena in his sights instead of seeking revenge on the new champion. Lesnar and Cena have a long history and it appears the two are set to add to it. When will Brock Lesnar and John Cena have a match? An official match between Lesnar and Cena has not been announced, but it's expected to happen following the situation that closed out SummerSlam. The match could take place at WWE's next premium live event titled 'Clash in Paris' in Nanterre, France, on Aug. 31. Why has Brock Lesnar been away from WWE? Lesnar has been away from WWE since 2023, but was planned to return for the Royal Rumble in 2024. Lesnar did not appear at the event after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in the days leading up to the event. Grant was a former employee at the WWE global headquarters from 2019 to 2022. Grant alleged that WWE co-founder Vince McMahon forced her into a sexual relationship with him, former executive John Laurinaitis and an unnamed wrestler who had previously competed in the UFC. Lesnar was the most notable wrestler at the time who had a history as a competitor in both the WWE and UFC. Lesnar's name was identified in a later report by The Wall Street Journal. Paul Levesque, the WWE's Chief Content Officer, was asked about Lesnar's status during a WrestleMania Press Conference in April with reporters and content creators. 'Right now, Brock is at home being Brock,' said Levesque, who is also known as Triple H. 'We'll see where that leads to from here. His status is the same as it has been before. Brock is not gone from WWE. He's just home being Brock.' The WWE did not hold a press conference with members of the media after either night of SummerSlam this weekend.

Ellen DeGeneres Had No Clue Her Staff Was Scared of Her, Say Sources

Ellen DeGeneres was reportedly shocked after new claims alleged that her talk show staff feared her. In a recent segment of 'After Party with Emily Jashinsky,' comedian Adam Carolla recalled his guest appearance on DeGeneres's show. He then made bombshell revelations that the crew was 'scared to death' of the host. Following the revelation, DeGeneres received backlash again, but a source claimed that she had no clue that her staff was afraid of her. Ellen DeGeneres surprised by claims that her staff were afraid of her, sources say Rob Shuter #ShuterScoop learned about Ellen DeGeneres' reaction to new claims, asserting her talk show staff were afraid of her. A source alleged that the former host of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' was 'shocked' by the explosive new revelations. Moreover, DeGeneres 'had no idea' the crew felt that way. She drew flak again after comedian Adam Carolla, who had made guest appearances on her once-popular talk show, made these allegations. Carolla appeared on 'After Party with Emily Jashinsky' and opened up about his experience on DeGeneres' former show. He reportedly recalled his conversation with the segment producer before his on-air chat. The comedian alleged that the producer checked in with him to ensure he would stay within the bounds of their pre-approved discussion points. The staffer wanted to make sure he didn't talk about topics involving meat, as the host was vegan at the time. Adam Carolla further alleged that's how he realized Ellen DeGeneres' staff members were 'scared to death.' He continued that the people working on her show's set 'were scared — real scared.' In 2022, 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' aired its final episode amid viewership concerns and allegations of a toxic work environment. She later addressed the accusations in her Netflix special, 'For Your Approval.' Reportedly, DeGeneres has since moved to the U.K. with her wife, Portia de Rossi. The couple currently resides in the Cotswolds. Originally reported by Nikita Mahato on Reality Tea. There is also a separate 'party barn' with a pub for entertaining and a building that contains an indoor pool, gym and shower facilities. Ms. DeGeneres and Ms. de Rossi have reportedly moved to a larger, more contemporary estate nearby.
