LPA spotted near Batanes as more rains expected over PH — PAGASA
Based on PAGASA's daily weather forecast, the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Batanes, and Cagayan.
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will cause occasional rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the Habagat.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas due to said weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Northern Luzon will experience light to moderate winds with moderate waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters.
Temperatures in the country will range from a minimum of 24.2°C to a maximum of 27.6°C over the next 24 hours.

State weather bureau PAGASA said two to three tropical cyclones may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this July 2025, with Pangasinan expected to experience rain on up to 21 days this month due to the southwest monsoon. According to PAGASA, the southwest monsoon or 'habagat' continues to affect the region, bringing rain and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon and evening. 'Nagkakaroon ng thunderstorm. Kaakibat nito ang ulan,' Engr. Jose Estrada Jr., Chief Meteorological Officer at PAGASA Dagupan Station, said. Based on PAGASA's dry and rainy day forecast, Pangasinan may experience rainfall for up to 21 days this July 2025. In addition, two to three tropical cyclones are likely to form and enter the PAR this month. As thunder and lightning often come with heavy rains, PAGASA reminded the public to take extra caution. They headed straight to Tondaligan Beach, eager to enjoy the sea before the expected afternoon rains. 'Okay naman. Presko, maaliwalas at refreshing,' Dela Peña said. Despite the frequent rain, PAGASA clarified that La Niña has not yet set in, as the current rainfall totals have not reached the criteria required for its declaration.

Cyclone formerly Bising now a severe tropical storm, seen to cause very rough seas off Batanes
According to its tropical cyclone advisory issued at 11 p.m., PAGASA raised Gale Warning No. 1 and warned of very rough seas of up to 4.5 meters in the seaboard of Batanes and the western seaboard of the Babuyan Islands. The tropical cyclone formerly named Bising has developed into a severe tropical storm on Saturday night and is expected to reach typhoon category on Sunday. According to its tropical cyclone advisory issued at 11 p.m., PAGASA raised Gale Warning No. 1 and warned of very rough seas of up to 4.5 meters in the seaboard of Batanes and the western seaboard of the Babuyan Islands. 'Sea travel is risky for all types of tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside,' the weather bureau said. Up to rough seas of up to 3.5 meters are expected in the western seaboard of Ilocos Norte, and mariners of small seacraft, including all types of motor bancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels. Up to moderate seas of up to 2.5 meters are expected in the northwestern seaboard of Ilocos Sur and the remaining seaboards of Ilocos Norte; of up to two meters in the western seaboards of La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales, and the remaining seaboard of Ilocos Sur. 'Mariners of motorbancas and similarly-sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions,' PAGASA said. The severe tropical storm, now known as Danas, was spotted at 10 p.m. to be 410 km west of Basco, Batanes, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility with maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 135 kph. It was moving northeastward at 10 kph with strong to storm-force winds extending outwards up to 330 km from the center. The severe tropical storm now known as Danas outside the PAR will continue moving generally northeastward in the next 72 hours. It will briefly pass the northwestern boundary of PAR between Sunday evening and Monday morning. Danas intensified into a severe tropical storm at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thunderstorms cause floods in parts of PH
Several parts of the country experienced flooding due to inclement weather caused by localized thunderstorms. In a ''24 Oras Weekend'' report by Jamie Santos, a motorist took footage of vehicles forced to cross the gutter-deep floods in some parts of Cainta, Rizal on Saturday morning. The flood was almost ankle deep in Montalban, Rizal. Inclement weather also caused heavy traffic on E. Rodriguez Avenue, Sumulong Memorial Circle Road in Antipolo, Ortigas Avenue Extension, and Taytay Diversion Road. Meanwhile, waters entered the homes of residents in Barangay Malanday, Marikina, while some of them removed blockage in their sewer, including trash, cement and dried leaves. They called on local authorities to take action regarding fast-rising floods despite little rainfall. In a separate ''24 Oras Weekend'' report by Nico Waje, a school was hit by flood in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, due to localized thunderstorms. Students and teachers worked together to remove water from classrooms. According to the school administration, flooding was caused by both rain and the construction of the drainage system. Thunderstorms also occurred in parts of Metro Manila on Saturday. Most parts of the country will continue to experience rains on Sunday because of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), PAGASA said in its Saturday afternoon forecast. Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan will have occasional rains, while Metro Manila, Mindanao, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Western Visayas will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
