Yahoo4 days ago
Rosie Roche's cause of death has been revealed.
The 20-year-old cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry was found dead in her Wiltshire home on July 14. She was killed by a 'traumatic head injury,' according to reporting by The Independent, Gazette and Herald and the Daily Mail, which cited the Wiltshire and Swindon coroner.
The Wiltshire and Swindon coroner did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
It was reported earlier that Roche's mother and sister found her deceased in their home after she began packing for a vacation with friends. A firearm was allegedly found close by inside the property.
Following her death, an investigation was opened by the Wiltshire and Swindon coroner. Coroner Grant Davies said that police "have deemed the death as non-suspicious and there was no third-party involvement," per The Sun.

Roche was a student at Durham University where she studied English literature. She was the granddaughter of Princess Diana's uncle, Edmund Roche, 5th Baron Fermoy.
A spokeswoman told The Sun that the royal family's cousin "will be sorely missed." Professor Wendy Powers, the principal of University College, where Roche attended, also told The Independent that staff and students are 'extremely saddened' by her death.
She noted that she was 'loved for her creativity, energy, her love of books, poetry and travel among many other talents.'
In an obituary published by the Yorkshire Post on Saturday, July 19, family members remembered Roche as a "darling" daughter, sister and granddaughter.'
"Roche, Rosie Jeanne Burke. Died on Monday 14th July 2025. Darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, Granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long,' the obituary stated, adding that 'a memorial service will be held at a later date.'
