How many Rams made ESPN's All Quarter Century Team?
There's been no lack of star power for the Rams this century. In the Sean McVay era alone, the Rams have had Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, Cooper Kupp, Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff and Todd Gurley all suit up for them. And in the early 2000s, it was Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt and the other Greatest Show on Turf playmakers leading the way.
Dating back to the start of this century, how many of the game's best players have played for the Rams? ESPN created an All Quarter Century Team with 25 years of the 2000s in the books and the Rams had a handful of selections.
At defensive tackle, Donald was an obvious choice. He's a future Hall of Famer and legitimately one of the best defenders in NFL history, dominating for the entirety of his career from 2014-2023.
Donald is certainly the greatest defensive tackle of the past 25 years and possibly the greatest in NFL history. His 20.5 sacks in 2018 set a single-season record for a primary defensive tackle, while his career total is second among defensive tackles (since 1982) behind John Randle's 137.5.
Bobby Wagner only had a one-year stint with the Rams but he's still an all-time great at linebacker. He was one of ESPN's five selections at the position, along with Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Lavonte David and Luke Kuechly.
At cornerback, Ramsey didn't quite make the cut but he was chosen as a 'practice squad' player behind Darrelle Revis, Champ Bailey, Ronde Barber, Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson. Ramsey played three and a half years for the Rams and was a Pro Bowler each season, unquestionably establishing himself as one of the best cornerbacks of this generation.
Sean McVay missed out on the coaching staff and was snubbed for Kyle Shanahan, who ESPN picked to be the team's offensive coordinator. Wade Phillips was chosen as the defensive coordinator, a position he held with the Rams from 2017-2019 – his final job in the NFL.
Had Gurley not gotten hurt, he might've had a case at running back but with only three players picked at that position, it would've been a tough group to crack. Priest Holmes, Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry were the selections, with LaDainian Tomlinson on the practice squad.

3 observations from Day 9 of New York Jets training camp

New York Jets 2025 NFL training camp is well underway and will be watched under a microscope each and every day. Throughout practices, updates are shared during the workouts which make for intriguing and important notes. In terms of Day 89of training camp, what stood out the most? Here are three observations from the ninth day of Jets training camp Aaron Glenn shows the passion On the positive side of the ledger from head coach Aaron Glenn, he really showed how much he cares about the Jets once again. Glenn got emotional discussing fans viewing practice as he said it was the "first time it really hit him." Sloppy, sloppy During Saturday's practice there was a bit of a scrimmage that went down. It did not go well. Per reports, there were 12 penalties called during the workout and that is very bad. Glenn has previously said he wants referees at practice to help fix the issue with flags, but improvement is still needed. Glenn was vocal about the problem after practice. Isaiah Davis makes waves On a plus side, running back Isaiah Davis took advantage of Braelon Allen missing practice due to injury. ESPN was among those that praised Davis' efforts working with the first-team offense, both in the rushing and passing game. Titans sign OL Arlington Hambright, waive WR Ramel Keyton

The Titans made a change to their roster on Sunday morning. They announced that they have signed offensive lineman Arlington Hambright. They waived wide receiver Ramel Keyton in a corresponding move. Hambright signed to Tennessee's practice squad last year and went on to play in four games on special teams for the Titans during the regular season. He was a 2020 Bears seventh-round pick and played nine games as a rookie. He also saw action for the Colts in 2023. Keyton signed with the team after Treylon Burks fractured his collarbone in a training camp practice. He had one catch for the Raiders last season.

Former Georgia QB Matthew Stafford makes NFL top 100

Former Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford has been one of the top quarterbacks in the league for a while and he was rewarded for it by his peers. Stafford made the NFL's top 100, coming in at No. 59. Stafford absolutely deserved this award. In his age-36 season, Stafford threw for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns, leading the Los Angeles Rams on five game-winning drives. He brought the Rams to a 10-7 record and NFC West title. After that, the Rams upset the 14-3 Minnesota Vikings in the wild card round and came within one play of defeating the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round. He was playing through an injury in that game too. Stafford comes down from ranking No. 42 last year, but he enters the list for the eighth time in his career, tying former Auburn/Florida quarterback Cam Newton and former Ole Miss quarterback Phillip Rivers for the most top 100 selections of any former SEC quarterback in NFL history. Matthew Stafford makes the NFL 100 He also ties with wide receiver A.J. Green for the most top 100 selections for any former Georgia Bulldog player. There have already been two Georgia Bulldogs selected in the NFL's top 100. Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey comes in at No. 100 (somewhat lower than people expected), while Bills running back James Cook comes in at No. 89. However, with guys like Jalen Carter, Roquan Smith, and Brock Bowers still awaiting their ranking, Georgia fans have more to look forward to in the future.
