Multi-Platinum Pop Star, 45, Suffers ‘Malfunction' During Music Comeback
Jessica Simpson made her return to the stage on the Today Show and suffered a technical malfunction during her live performance.
'It's insane because I've had a malfunction here and everywhere – but it's OK,' Jessica, 45, told the Today Show hosts as she pointed to her earpiece during the Wednesday, July 23, post-show interview.
The pop star joked that her outfit may have been uncomfortable while performing as she laughed, 'I think my boobs stayed in, so that's good!'
While rocking out in the Today Plaza in Rockefeller Center, Jessica performed her new songs, including 'Use My Heart Against Me' and 'Blame Me.' The fashion designer also took the crowd back to 2005 when she sang her version of 'These Boots Are Made For Walking.'
The new tunes were part of her album, Nashville Canyon, which was released in March. The project was a milestone moment for the Dukes of Hazzard actress, as it was the first album she released since her 2009 holiday album, Happy Christmas.
Jessica was in high spirits during her post-performance interview on the Today Show, and shared that she created her new music after her world was 'flipped upside down.'
The 'With You' singer announced she separated from husband Eric Johnson in January after nearly ten years of marriage. The estranged couple share three kids, Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, Ace Knute and Birdie Mae, who watched their rockstar momma perform for the first time on the show.
'They know me singing Christmas songs, but they have never seen me on the stage,' Jessica explained. 'So I was like, 'Let me get New York out of the way and then y'all can come.'
The doting mom gushed that her children are her 'biggest supporters' while she has listened to a 'calling to use her voice again in a whole different way.'

Awesome JAWS Poster Art From Artist Tyler Stout Pays Tribute To Quint — GeekTyrant
I had to share this great Jaws print with you that was created by artist Tyler Stout. This was a limited edition Comic-Con exclusive of only 150 prints. They sold out at the event, but I managed to score one, and this is a beautiful peice! The poster was created for CODA Gallery. Quint, the rugged shark hunter from, is one of the most unforgettable characters in cinematic history. Played masterfully by Robert Shaw, Quint is the epitome of grit and resilience, an old-school seaman with a weathered exterior and a deep-rooted trauma that fuels his obsession. What makes Quint such a powerful character isn't just his fearlessness or bravado, but the depth of his past, especially the haunting USS Indianapolis monologue that reveals the true horror he's lived through. He's not just a shark hunter; he's a man shaped by survival, driven by vengeance, and unwilling to back down. His intensity, gruff charm, and unwavering determination make him a compelling force in the story and the emotional anchor of the film's tension.
